I shot this review a while back and I'm finally getting around to posting it. The Batwing from Propel is a micro quadcopter that actually flies really well. It's fast and fun, but the props come off pretty easily. Hope you enjoy the review.

Pressing the up down left and right buttons while on and connected helps it move more to that direction you'll probably need to do this to get it adjusted to fly straight and accurately like zeroing in a scope

The clear props are labelled clearly
all you need to do is use the screwdriver open up the case unplug the battery put a new battery into the case and then plug the case into the bat

the prop gards can also land and paint the pillars black to it would be easy to find
If it doesn't fly the propellers are in the wrong spots which is confusing because there's no indication, B1 is bottom right and B and A are diagonal

+Jose Melchor I think you have to get replacement parts through Propel's flight club or perhaps on ebay or Amazon. I might do some looking around and see.
Hi Chris... Amazing flying skills... Can you please tell me what propellors could be used to get this to fly... We threw out the originals props woth the plastic packaging...

I have the Propel Xwing fighter. GREAT drone! PROPEL does produce unique, well built drones. I am seeing A LOT of complaints about losing or easy breaking props? These appear to be the exact same style of clear props that the Xwing(and other Propel items) uses. I plan to call Propel CS to see if they have upgraded or maybe corrected that problem?(maybe softer material for less breakage & better for staying on) Thinking of getting one but hesitant about losing props all the time. Many also complaining PROPEL behind in carrying spare parts! If I do purchase one, a very small drop of super glue should help
as a follow up... ( I used my wife's computer - didn't realize it uses her name?) I did contact Propel CS and mentioned there seems to be a lot of Negative reviews about obtaining spare blades and breaking blades ( to be fair - are these reviews from NOT using the guards?) . They have spare blades for the Batwing now. The typical Xmas rush can cause delays in obtaining parts as usual. They are also now using a softer plastic blade(as I thought) Same blades used on their Star Wars product line.
+Linnea Holden not sure if there are third party options... probably other quads that have under mounted motors would work.
+Dave Holden yeah, probably a bit of beginners breaking them for sure. I do think they make it difficult to get replacement props.
His driving skills made the drone seem to fly better than the dji mavic drones...

I bought the Batman radio control Batwing from Tuesday morning for $14.99 could not get it to fly until I saw your video I'll try it again and see if I can get the fly what's the proper way to put the props on

Donny Goodall It won’t fly because this is made facing downwards, the cg023 props pushes air different in a way. They are upward facing
Lost the battery for the drone anywhere to find them?
How does it do with light wind? I have the three Star Wars Drones (X Wing, Speeder Bike, and Tie Fighter - also giving them away on my channel) and I really like them but they don't seem to do too well in a light wind. A little hard to control. Still able to fly but just takes a little more work. Same thing with the Batwing?

Thanks! Not sure....never lost signal with it....maybe 50 feet or something like that. Range seemed good.
I bought one and it sucks !Propel made 2 bat wing drones. One 5 inches wide and the other 4 inches wide, called the mini bat wing. The larger bat wing is fun to fly. The smaller bat wing, like in this presentation is defective! It does not hold altitude. As you can see in this clip, the driver is constantly adjusting up and down with no altitude hold. Just like Propel's palm size Prowler Navigator, it is junk ! Stay away from the smaller bat drone unless you want to donate your money to Propel's CEO.

I was search8ng how to fix my drone when I fixed it my self I’m such genius that’s solo tho wish I had one
45 minutes to charge and only 5 minutes of flight time?
this is the only video I could find explaining the prop install. thank you for that but now it leads me to a different problem. I installed the props on mine the way you said to and it still doesn't take off. it lifts about 1/4" off the ground and then goes crazy. what could be causing that?
+Ruthless Senshi you're sure you installed the props on the right motors? Maybe try recalibrating it? I think it says how to do that in the manual.

I agree this thing in full speed will not stop well and it has caused me a couple minor crashes. lol It isn't no Hubsan X4 but it is also an entirely different quad that handles well considering the novelty of a flying bat wing that makes both the air hogs x-wing and millennium falcon look like a joke. I wouldn't have paid 50 dollars for it myself as I think even a cheerson cx-10 is a better flyer and sells for under 20 dollars all day long but a very cool gift to get friends and family in to the hobby for cheap with a novelty design that even when mine doesn't fly I'll set it on a shelf.

For some reason I can't get my drone to take off. All propellers are spinning and it's fully charged. I just took it out of the box and it wont fly. I even tried to change the speed. Any advice?
Sounds like you have the props on wrong possibly...I think I went over it in this video.

I'm having trouble syncing it with the controller. I followed the instructions. Insert the battery into the drone. Pull the throttle all the way down then turn on the controller. The lights should be solid. Mine stays blinking. :/
Did you go up and down with the throttle after turning it on? That's how you bind it.
Yeah, I throttled up and down and it continues to blink and doesn't respond. I called the customer service number though. Also, they sent me an email to file a request.

It should still do them with the prop guards on....maybe your flip button isn't working.

+Tyler Rech you should just hit the stunt button and move the right stick forward, backwards, left or right and it will flip in whichever direction. Not sure what you mean by sync? Do you mean trim it out? Is it drifting?
It drifts back and forth when it takes off. It dosent go straight up in the air like it's suppose to
+Tyler Rech are you inside or outside... It's tough to get it to hover in one place. Use your forward and backward trim if it's drifting a certain way.

Yes.
The trim doesn't work at all. I have flown all types of drones.
I just bought that hunk of junk & after 10 minutes , all the propellers broke.

+Mark Betzala no they aren't interchangeable. They should have letters on them. I think I went over it in the video.
You dont have the blades set up in right direction. They are two types, A and B. They go in diagonal. I was having the same issue. Once you put them in right spot, it will fly.
Man propel is 100x better than air hogs I terms of quality and value
+Dawson Boyle I think Air Hogs is more for the beginner and Propel steps up to the intermediate and advanced flyers.

Ive never enjoyed flying anything from Propel TBH. Just my opinion.. They have weird FCB components and janky software and the 3/4 ch thing is useless. Those props flying off is so infuriating n it's not something that should be happening that easily. The propel props I've dealt with in the past have seemed to be made of soft cheese. It's funny how you find it in over priced junk pile stacks like at those kohls tables filled with useless tat, impulse buy junk, expensive toysRus and then again at Dollar General and QVC! I don't know how they continue to get into retail locations ....their wholesale pricing must be incredible. ...as it should be, honestly. They haven't done anything "new" inside their electronics in...ever...same tired old options on everything...they rely on gimmicks, packaging and expanding physical location availability...not on product development or electrical innovation or engineering...although the bat, looks more interesting than most of the line.
I liked the Atom and this one flew decent, but had a few issues.
Chris Walsh they all have "quirks" ...that is my issue with them...they never have a hit. I can deal with hit or miss but never having a hit and just putting the same tech in different shells while charging a premium should be embarrassing...but apparently it's "profitable." .....and customers? Who cares about what they want anyway...right? Propel is more worried about their next big retailer deal or QVC appearance rather than product improvement, new features...or heck, just keeping their props attached lol

look around your walgreens very well...they sometimes put stuff where you dont expect it...this was not with toys it was near the cold meds...thet also had a micro drone and 2 sharper image drones too...all were in different places...walgreens is quite a strange place sometimes...mt after cancer treatment rx meds come from there cos its less than a mile from my home...
plus they had 2 different size propel reg helicopters,,,also in different spots...
