  • Welcome to 2022 everybody!!
What an absolute banger of a track I have for you here from the seemingly ageless Avril Lavigne. I love this track and it's fairly easy so I figured this would be a good excuse for me to get back into making some guitar covers!
I'm intrigued to know your thoughts about this video, where do you think I am? It's slightly different and is a test of something that I'm wanting to try in the coming months... Watch this space.
Enjoy and please let me know what you think!

WELCOME BACK, LEGEEEEND!!! Thanks for making my evening with this one, which was totally unexpected. Looks and sounds great, as always! No idea where you are (in front of a wall? :P). Pretty sure that wall was not added by means of a green screen though because of one of the camera angles where the wall looks very natural (and also the shadows in the front view angle look very natural, so again, most likely that wall is real). In any case, whatever it is and whatever it is, it looks great. Keep ROCKING, legend!

Hey hey!! Thanks for the comment from my favourite UA-cam guitarist!! I'm glad you approve of this! There will be more to come, I promise. Maybe not as many as you churn out, but more than last year 🤞🏻.
As for your theory on where I am and what's new in the video... you're so so close, but yet so far 😏 😂

Thank you for comforting my heart because you liked your video so much as if I skimmed through it in a dream yesterday. Thank you for giving my heart a break and making me happy. Thank you for watching under the cold winter morning sky. The video is so beautiful and enchanting. It is your video that I want to watch over and over again, even if I watch it over and over again. By chance at the winter window, as the algorithm introduced me, when I opened my UA-cam window, the first video I saw was your video. Why did you have such a wonderful talent that is full of strange charms unique to your video? I was amazed at the excellence of your skills and was moved by your sincerity and hard work while watching the video. I really liked the video of you that suddenly appeared on my phone without saying a word while sitting by the window of a cafe where the cold wind was blowing. I'm looking at your video like a dream.

Aaah welcome back mate! Flawless execution and sound bro!! That clean tone really is on point too.

Thanks dude! I am actually super proud of that clean tone. Normally I’d swap out the PRS for my Strat for that jangly/twangy tone but this was all PRS. Made me laugh at how easy it was to dial in that tone and it came out better than expected.
Thanks for your comment, it really means a lot 🤟🏻

Hey Matt! I re-watching this video cause it's awesome! By the way, I just realise that of all the YT videos or channel I have watched, most of them have the closing scene to their video and yours is the best that I have ever seen. It's short, simple, full of pictures and great guitar sounds. Loving it! Just letting you know :)

I keep watching this cover and I THINK I might do an Avril Lavigne cover myself at some point. Been thinking about it for a while, but I'm hesitant because it's a bit too "soft" for what I usually do on the channel.

      Hi Mike!
Hmmm why not use your Ibanez 7 strings guitar to make your guitar riff/tone sound heavier? With your double tracking “tehnică magical skills” you can accomplish more heavier sound perfectly. Plus using drop C tunning to further this.
BUT if you are referring to the music being too “soft” then maybe chord improvisation/rearrangement, slower tempo and heavier bass/drum beats, which ofcourse will be ALOT of work and effort (not recommended tho) haha. Else you can refer to pop goes punk albums for a good reference point.
However, you did t.A.T.u. covers in your channel, right? 😏 Which I find it cool!! Hehe

@@Moakalatte You couldn't have put it better IMHO. You're so damn right about it. I wasn't thinking about that song, I actually have two songs in mind, one which is slightly heavier and another one which has more acoustic stuff in it. Not telling what their names are because you know I'm very mysterious when it comes to my future plans 😂. But I guess you just gave me that friendly "kick-in-the-rear" that I needed to finally make up my mind and add them to my to-do-list. Thank you so much for that!

@@mikeKidLazy I just think that if you want to do something, you should do it. Heck, I've done John Mayer and then While She Sleeps and nobody has complained (at least not to me!) so in the words of the kid at the start of Jibboom by Steve Vai "just go for it!"

The legendary Mr Moakalatte has returned and his guitar has spoken keerraaanggg!! 😂Awesome cover man!! This song is so happy and addictive.
Well I noticed you have experimenting new cool stuff here hehe. The wall looks real..too real to be honest. And those shadows I assume the spotlight is at the top centre hence positions on your left and right. So my thoughts are:
    1. You are standing infront of the green screen. Nice wall bdw 👍
    2. The natural lights comes from that halo white lighting which you could see its reflection from your shinny awesome guitar. I did notice this in Mike’s videos as well.
    3. As for that side angle video, hmm maybe you adjust your background to match the angle of your camera/video.
Overall awesome energetic cover and video, and most importantly we all are happy to see you back and rocking! 🤘🎸
