I was about to comment on how the instant mid-air turn-arounds must have made this game much less strenuous to TAS than either the original Super Mario Bros. or the original Sonic The Hedgehog... but knowing my luck, there is plenty of unseen jank that just isn't obvious to the untrained eye.
