- Baby gorilla Sumomo was resting by the water in the field.
It looked she was drinking water.
6 y/o male gorilla Riki came to his mother Momoko. Although Momoko would drive him away, he was still there and lay down in front of Momoko.
Did he want to spoil his mother? After that he jumped beating his chest (drumming). He wanted to attract Momoko's attention.

上野動物園の赤ちゃんゴリラ「スモモ」が水辺に座っていました。途中前にかがんでおり、水を飲んだのかなと思います。
また、スモモの兄で6歳の「リキ」は母「モモコ」のもとに来ました。モモコはひとりでいたいのかリキを追い払っていましたが、リキはモモコから離れず、目の前に寝転んでいました。モモコに甘えたかったのでしょうか？
その後、リキはモモコの目の前でドラミングしながらジャンプしていました。なかなか相手にしてくれないモモコの気を引きたかったのでしょうか。

Does anyone know when her firstborn son was taken away or separated because it was time for him to breed? I think I read he was 10 when he got with genki. Are there any videos out of their time together? Thanks
I have seen some videos. Separated at 10 and with Genki at 11

I believe Momotaro was separated from his mother, Momoko at age six.
He was separated at 6 years old when he was sent to Ueno Zoo where he was alone, but was not moved to Kyoto zoo until 2010, where he is now with Genki, his sons, Gentaro & Kintaro. Momotaro never knew his Dad Biju, he died before he was born.
