    Amazing motorcycle! It looks so simple and clean, yet so detailed and beautiful. I love the Honda CB900. For a long time, I had a similar idea of how to turn it into a cafe racer, but I have neither the knowledge nor mastery skills to do such a thing. After all, it took me almost three years to save enough to buy my Honda in the first place. Now I hope that someday I will at least be able to improve its carburetors, suspension and brakes, and that it will become a cafe racer like yours, for me it will remain just a dream. Until then, I can always enjoy the amazing motorcycles from your channel. Thank you sir, you are doing a great job.

    The beauty is in the details. Definitely a very nice build. The tank and seat line is perfect. The knee dents ‘fit’ the tank very nicely and add that bit of perfection. His dual seat or rear cowl connector is great idea. I really enjoyed this one. Excellent quality. And, as always, thank you for Racer TV, the Café racers only choice! Hope all is well with you and your family. Take care my dear friend! Cheers :)

    Nice build for sure. I am more familiar with the older version of the CB900 from North America which gave the appearance of being a CB750 on steroids. It had a dual range transmission with a selector lever. As I recall low range was for around town while high range was for the highway. It would make for a real muscle cafe racer.

    • @RACER_TV

  • @rogerthat10-47
    @rogerthat10-47 3 роки тому +1

    He might have bikes in the living room, but he has a full engineering shop in the next room. What a fabulous quality job, it really is nice, & from such a very ordinary bike, they are a bit like the CX500(no disrespect to "Franky") they are nothing special but they make a really good looking Cafe Bike, it was the same with the Royal Enfield back in the day. I have done one with a swappable seat, but it's not as tidy as that, you choose it before you set off because it's a Full seat, Single or Double & you can't carry it with you like this one, yet another good idea I can pinch, I think I'll keep that one for my bike. Once again another one that looks clean & simple, I can only imagine how much work went into this "Simple" design, we all know that "Simple" is the most "Difficult" look to pull off, but I have used the "Upsidedown clip-on's before, a good look & at my favourite price. How is your XS project doing, or should I not ask? Stay safe.

    • @RACER_TV
      @RACER_TV  3 роки тому +1

      Indeed. Honda CB series, is perfect for cafe racer projects, even the small ones. Please, ask me about the XS project from time to time. It is a good way to keep me inspired. Last week, I made some minor changes on the rear fender of the XS drawing, and now it looks way better. I think it is getting one of the most elegant and proportional rear fenders I have ever seen. Thank you my friend for your support. :) Cheers.

      @@RACER_TV I will always support a channel that has so much effort put into its production, we all stall a little from time to time on projects, & that is without the help of a Global Pandemic, as for Re-Designing, I don't think I have ever built a bike that is totally finished they all look better with a little work a few years down the line, I'm still building (even though I have been riding it for years) my 96 Suzuki GSX750F sleeper it has a modified GSXR750 engine with an extra gear that makes it Tour very nicely & the top end is Jetted & Ported so it is pure GSXR until top gear & it will run all day at nearly twice the speed limit, it catches out even some of the fastest bikes out there, I'm sure you will get some progress this year, & while you're enjoying that you can decide what 2 stroke you're doing next(haha) stay safe my friend.

      Those types of locks have been used for decades. It's essentially a custom version on this bike, but you can use the lock and pin from just about every motorcycle's seat ever made in the 60's and 70's to achieve the same capture lock system.

    Last year the project that if I had been able to vote more than once would have been the Honda of this builder. It had everything I like that a black bike should have. The powerful force of an evil and graceful motorcycle. The unity of opposites in a mechanical synthesis. Surely Hegel would not object to his use of dialectics to speak of something that is both beautiful and strong. If, in addition, the builder does not have to deal with the usual conjugal fight between motorcycles and marriage, much better. I live alone and happy because of that, first my bikes.
    Since a tank is the first thing that catches the eye on a motorcycle, it's critical. It can irremediably ruin the aesthetics of a project
    I have been dragging the tank problem in my Pulsar project. A tank is everything and can do more than anything to worsen almost
    all caff project.
    Be carefull in selecting colors is too important, as evidenced by the poor bike left in circumstances that if it were a human would have been considered a form of abuse. poor thing! Gee!

      It is always a pleasure to read your thought about my videos. You said it all. But you also said a very important thing, that I know inconscialy, but that i never said it in any video. The fuel tank is realy the first thing that catches the eye on a motorcycle. Indeed it is. Thank you for remind me of that. I will include this sentence in a future video. Thank you my dear friend for your help. :) Abrazo

    Das Motorrad bekommt in Deutschland bestimmt keine Zulassung....und ...die meisten Motorräder sehen im Stand richtig gut aus...aber im Fahrbetrieb nach ca. 50 km schmerzen die ersten Knochen....aber trotzdem schön gemacht....

    The debate of what a man can have in the house vs. what the woman can put in the house is an age old one. In my den is usually two or three of my motorcycles. I'm single, but when I was dating a gal I asked her, if you moved in would you require I not bring my motorcycles in the house. To which she replied.....You pay the mortgage, you put whatever you want in the house. That's a Democracy at its best. But just like Wedding Cake ends your regular sex life, it also voids your say in what is permitted in the house lol. Zip~

    Did you say Andy´s a "Lucky Guy" ! I might argue that point seeing Andy hasn't learned the use of Straps yet. Causing great amount of damage to another fallen bike.
    Also, it's very disappointing seeing another one of Andy's hard work being used as a display! Are any of his bikes being used on the streets??

    • @RACER_TV
      @RACER_TV  3 роки тому +1

      I am sure he already learned the lesson about the Straps. But you have to consider, that his Honda CB750 and this CB900, were both built at the same time. Which means the straps are probably the same. By the way, Andy was never a professional motorcycle custom Builder, because he works with cars. Therefore, I think we can give him some credit about this Straps problem. As I said on the video, the CB900 is from one of his Friends. The only bikes Andy has, is the Cb750, Yamaha XS, and the vespa. It is obvious he can't ride all of them all the time. :) Cheers
