They do have a point in that it was being portrayed that Kevin was an older man preying on an innocent boy when in reality they're basically the same age but William looks younger and has a much more innocent and fragile nature. Yes, Kevin is playing him but at the same time William should have known that Kevin did a very similar thing to Johnny in season 3. It wasn't romantic, but he did flirt with him and pretended to be his bestie, then threw him under the bus. It's like that story of the frog and the scorpion, with William being the frog and Kevin the scorpion.
