As a former Muslim from Afghanistan, I struggled for years with the dogma and contradictions of my faith. His clarity of thought, eloquence, and unapologetic critique of religion opened my eyes to the irrationality and harmfulness of religious beliefs. I was almost moved to tears during some parts. If I was religious, I would almost think it was a spiritual experience, but it was something even greater. It was the realisation, that I am here, because of my ancestors, that had to fight to survive, over millions of years, even billions going back to that single cell organism, that was the spark of life on our beautiful planet Earth. The realisation that I am related to every living thing, blows my mind. It also makes me feel very humble. No religion could do that.

All these religions are based on supposed events that can never have happened because they contravene the laws of nature, which by definition cannot be contravened. I can understand the need for comfort, meaning, and belonging, but the requirement to check one's brain at the church/mosque/synagogue/temple/etc. door is really regrettable, and the histories of these religions are the histories of brainwashed mobs believing that they are right, everyone else is wrong, and "unbelievers" deserve to be persecuted and murdered--and their god will reward them for so doing. I sat listening about the boy in the library and it brought me to tears. Education now seems to be mechanical and controlled by governments. Passion has been pushed to one side for those minority who are not aloud to express themselves of their true interest in life itself. Freedom to choose and express create a better human being than a systematic system of exams and a particular design system to control the so called general media.
Finally! It's nice to hear someone acknowledge that colorblindness isn't a visual handicap, but is actually very beneficial in ways. Maybe not in the "What Color Is This?" game, or defusing a time bomb, but we can spot things, especially in the woods, much quicker than other people - subtle movements, breaks in pattern, _and_ at a distance. Personally, I've always rather enjoyed people's curiosity and their reactions during the "What Color Is This?" game. So, for me, it all balances out. I don't feel like I'm "missing out" on anything. I have read Professor Richard Dawkins few books ,including Selfish Gene ,The extended phenotype,Blind watchmaker and I am very happy to understand evolution from gene's perspective.Actually Natural selection is a principle of gene preservation and gene propagation .But calling this principle for the sake of brevity as Natural Selection by Darwin always troubles my mind.We should call it the principle of gene preservation and propagation which makes everything very clear.Thanks.

I’ve never been particularly religious, and like most people in their lives there could have been times when I thought it clever to be anti-religious. Yet, as I have grown older, I have come to look at things in a different light. For instance: I now wonder about what happens to the pain we have caused to other people, and creatures? Does it just dissipate into the Universe as a function of nerve-ending reactions that have no connection to the world that created them, or is there some function of time, where they are all calculated, and made accounted for? To my mind, this makes it possible to make, what we choose to call God, an integral part of what we all are.

I am a Muslim; my interest in science was not developed till I started listening to Richard Dawkins's interviews, debates, lectures along with reading his books. Putting it mildly, my interest in science deloved by leaps and bounds when I further came to know about Stephen Hawking, Christopher Hitchens, Sam Harris, Daniel Dannit, etc., and other religious scholars such as Zakir Naik, Israr Ahmad, Mufti Menk, Ahmad Deedat, etc., along with cohot of ex-muslims: Marriam, Sultan Harris, Ayan etc. Well, I am still a Muslim; it did not shake my faith at all; I have no idea why some say that they decided to go otherway is necessary move, while, for me, it was advancing the knowledge, which cemented my belief in my faith more. He has done a tremendous job to let others know how science works in simplicity by not presenting nebulous reasons and proofs. To me, he seems to be innocent, just presenting the results. However, he knows that he is not fully an atheist, but still, is willing to be the other one on the proof. This is his decision to be remain non-believer, as I have my right to be the one loyal and honest with my religion. Thank you for reading.

I think so, although I question the veracity of your numbers. We have a tendency to want to dictate and regulate the behavior of what are essentially organisms just trying to survive and thrive and maintain homeostasis in the environments they happen to find themselves in, which itself comes from a tendency to assume that because all brains share a common architecture that they are the same when they most certainly are not. I am of the opinion that both the "bridge" _and_ the "gap" are constructs of our own creation.

I think Dawkins' selfish-gene theory is right. We are vehicles for the genes to survive and reproduce. But that's not all we are. I was already an atheist when i first watched Dawkins, but he pulled me away from astrology😂😂😂. His stubborn views on logic vs mythical believes, pulled me out of my dream state in astrology. But imagine what influence he would have on millions of theist around the world and how many lifes he would have reshaped. Better, who knows, but atleast without the foggy glasses.
I often wonder if evolution isn't blind but obviously not perfect. The complexity of interdependent networks between organisms is astounding. I'm not advocating a god per say but some kind of collective unconsciousness like Carl Jung proposed. So evolution may be guided in some way.
If by "guided" you mean similar to the way in which moving molecules of water are "guided," then I'd have to say yes. I'm no scientist, but I believe that's what "gene flow" is.

But much smarter people than me have proposed some interesting ideas which I don't think can be entirely discounted yet maybe time will tell. I don't believe we have the whole story yet like we can't create life yet from the basic components I know scientist are working on it. We don't fully understand conscience yet either.

In other words, there's absolutely nothing logical about asking "who" at all! Famous Evangelical atheist Richard Dawkins used to teach that the “best evidence for evolution” was that organisms; which were similar to each other have similar DNA. This is pure supposition and absolute speculation driven by a passion to obliterate God from the equation of life. Richard Dawkins claimed that genetic research proved Darwin’s tree of life; nothing could be further from the truth. These claims were made before we learned more about DNA and RNA and in 2009 he got his book published: “The Greatest Show on Earth” in which he taught that Darwin’s Tree of Life was supported by the pattern of resemblances, that you see when you compare genes. The fossil record does not support Darwin’s Tree of Life, because there is no evidence of transitional fossils in the actual earth’s geology demonstrating evolution. There is no evidence that plants and animals diversified from a Common Ancestor over millions of years, being due to imaginary evolution. In 2009, the same year, New Scientist magazine ran an article with the title: “Why Darwin was wrong about the Tree of Life.” In it, scientists stated that the Tree of Life was “mis-leading” because Darwin’s theory limits and even obscures the study of organisms and their ancestries end of quote. The “best evidence for creation” is the fossil record, finding only fully formed organisms in Cambrian rocks. Our technology has advanced to such a stage that we can now “read” the genes of many different species and it is even clearer now that Dawkins’ “Best Evidence for Evolution” does not exist. Ernest Haeckel German scientist tried it on; by drawing fraudulent embryos making them look alike, because he loved Darwin’s theory of evolution. At the University of Jena he was convicted of fraud in 1875. When asked why he had lied, he said it is necessary for us to believe in spontaneous generation: that everything made itself by random chance, because the alternative is Creation and that is unthinkable! A lot of people have a similar mind-set today, this is why evolution will not go away as a theory and be buried. It should be disqualified by the “scientific method” today, but there is wide spread indoctrination through the education system with the theory of evolution which should be abandoned, because there is no evidence to support such a theory which has outlived its usefulness. I was almost moved to tears during some parts. If I was religious, I would almost think it was a spiritual experience, but it was something even greater. It was the realisation, that I am here, because of my ancestors, that had to fight to survive, over millions of years, even billions going back to that single cell organism, that was the spark of life on our beautiful planet Earth. The realisation that I am related to every living thing, blows my mind. It also makes me feel very humble. No religion could do that.
And in 20 years you might have ceased to exist 🤭🤗

All these religions are based on supposed events that can never have happened because they contravene the laws of nature, which by definition cannot be contravened. I can understand the need for comfort, meaning, and belonging, but the requirement to check one's brain at the church/mosque/synagogue/temple/etc. door is really regrettable, and the histories of these religions are the histories of brainwashed mobs believing that they are right, everyone else is wrong, and "unbelievers" deserve to be persecuted and murdered--and their god will reward them for so doing. Sigh.

I sat listening about the boy in the library and it brought me to tears. Education now seems to be mechanical and controlled by governments. Passion has been pushed to one side for those minority who are not aloud to express themselves of their true interest in life itself. Freedom to choose and express create a better human being than a systematic system of exams and a particular design system to control the so called general media.

Finally! It's nice to hear someone acknowledge that colorblindness isn't a visual handicap, but is actually very beneficial in ways. Maybe not in the "What Color Is This?" game, or defusing a time bomb, but we can spot things, especially in the woods, much quicker than other people - subtle movements, breaks in pattern, _and_ at a distance. Personally, I've always rather enjoyed people's curiosity and their reactions during the "What Color Is This?" game. So, for me, it all balances out. I don't feel like I'm "missing out" on anything. Maybe colorblindness is _actually_ the evolutionary goal of the human eye. Time will tell. Lol

I have read Professor Richard Dawkins few books ,including Selfish Gene ,The extended phenotype,Blind watchmaker and I am very happy to understand evolution from gene's perspective.Actually Natural selection is a principle of gene preservation and gene propagation .But calling this principle for the sake of brevity as Natural Selection by Darwin always troubles my mind.We should call it the principle of gene preservation and propagation which makes everything very clear.Thanks.

I’ve never been particularly religious, and like most people in their lives there could have been times when I thought it clever to be anti-religious. Yet, as I have grown older, I have come to look at things in a different light.
For instance: I now wonder about what happens to the pain we have caused to other people, and creatures? Does it just dissipate into the Universe as a function of nerve-ending reactions that have no connection to the world that created them, or is there some function of time, where they are all calculated, and made accounted for?
To my mind, this makes it possible to make, what we choose to call God, an integral part of what we all are.

What does freedom feel like i wonder never experienced it
I am a Muslim; my interest in science was not developed till I started listening to Richard Dawkins's interviews, debates, lectures along with reading his books. Putting it mildly, my interest in science deloved by leaps and bounds when I further came to know about Stephen Hawking, Christopher Hitchens, Sam Harris, Daniel Dannit, etc., and other religious scholars such as Zakir Naik, Israr Ahmad, Mufti Menk, Ahmad Deedat, etc., along with cohot of ex-muslims: Marriam, Sultan Harris, Ayan etc. Well, I am still a Muslim; it did not shake my faith at all; I have no idea why some say that they decided to go otherway is necessary move, while, for me, it was advancing the knowledge, which cemented my belief in my faith more. He has done a tremendous job to let others know how science works in simplicity by not presenting nebulous reasons and proofs. To me, he seems to be innocent, just presenting the results. However, he knows that he is not fully an atheist, but still, is willing to be the other one on the proof.
This is his decision to be remain non-believer, as I have my right to be the one loyal and honest with my religion.

Richard Dawkins said many times that he does not know how the world came into being as well as physical laws as he was not there when it all happened. The same I can say regarding what you asked. I often wonder if evolution isn't blind but obviously not perfect. The complexity of interdependent networks between organisms is astounding. I'm not advocating a god per say but some kind of collective unconsciousness like Carl Jung proposed. So evolution may be guided in some way.
If by "guided" you mean similar to the way in which moving molecules of water are "guided," then I'd have to say yes. I'm no scientist, but I believe that's what "gene flow" is.

Almighty’s saying: :((And We have made the night and day two signs, and We erased the sign of the night and made the sign of the day visible that you may seek bounty from your Lord and may know the number of years and the account [of time]. And everything We have set out in detail.
)).
The verse of the night is the moon and the verse of the day is the sun. The Qur'an tells that the sun and the moon were fiery masses. That is, the moon was a fiery mass and was erased, and the verse of the day remained visible to the eyes. Was the moon a fiery mass and extinguished? This is one of the biggest scientific issues discovered about the moon. The moon was already a fiery mass, and NASA issued on its official website a conceptual clip entitled The Evolution of the Moon in the video. In fact, the moon was a fiery mass like the sun, and this is what the Qur’an told about and the truth of modern science.
How did Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, know this fact before?

And you see the mountains thinking that they are rigid, while you will cross as the passage of clouds. [It is] the work of God who has perfected everything. In fact, he knows what you're doing.))
And the verse clearly spoke of a strange phenomenon, which is that the viewer of the mountains appears to him still, that is, they are still, but in fact they are not like that, rather they are in a state of constant movement. And the infidels of Quraish had previously accused our master Muhammad, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, of madness, and it is likely that their joy was overwhelming when this verse was revealed.
They also found in it, according to their claim, evidence of this madness, and they told the people: How can you believe this man who says that these fixed mountains move like clouds moving in the sky!
And today it is proven that the earth rotates, and with it the mountains, how did Muhammad know that and why is he telling you instead of the matter that makes people consider him crazy? The matter was not from him, but from God.

Those whom Allah (in His plan) willeth to guide,- He openeth their breast to Islam; those whom He willeth to leave straying,- He maketh their breast close and constricted, as if they had to climb up to the skies: thus doth Allah (heap) the penalty on those who refuse to believe)).
After man was able to reach the sky by flying by modern means of transportation, he knew that the higher up in the air, the less oxygen and atmospheric pressure, which causes severe tightness in the chests and the process of breathing. :

Or (the Unbelievers' state) is like the depths of darkness in a vast deep ocean, overwhelmed with billow topped by billow, topped by (dark) clouds: depths of darkness, one above another: if a man stretches out his hands, he can hardly see it! for any to whom Allah giveth not light, there is no light!
Modern sciences have revealed that in the bottom of the deep seas with abundant water - the deep sea - there is great darkness, to the extent that living creatures live in this darkness without visual tools, but live using their other senses such as hearing.
These dark darknesses are not found in the sea water that surrounds the Arabian Peninsula, but rather they have been discovered in the oceans far from it
This verse shows another aspect of the Qur’anic miracle, which is that the sea wave that all people only knew was one wave in the seas
The verse says there is another wave in the depths of the sea, and divers discovered at the beginning of the twentieth century a fact that was hidden in the depths of the sea, that fact that shows another wave that throws divers into it as it is thrown at swimmers, and this wave was discovered by Scandinavian divers.
.I will tell you what the Prophet said. The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: One day the Bedouins who live in the desert will build tall towers, and this is my duty. Go and see where the
tallest buildings are and who owns them.
God Almighty: ((We will show them Our signs in the horizons and within themselves until it becomes clear to them that it is the truth. But is it not sufficient concerning your Lord that He is, over all things, a Witness?)
And God informed the Qur’an of this by saying: “Did you think that we created you without a purpose and that you would never return to us?”
All these and other matters that I have not mentioned indicate that this is a prophet from God..More important than that, as I told you, is the only religion that commands you to worship one Creator, who created everything and before him many prophets
Say, if you wish, there is no god but God, and that Muhammad is the Messenger of God
