Child being kidnapped by a bunch of crazy partyers is a wild storyline
To recover from the trauma of this episode, I'm remembering the legacy I started wherein I wanted the matriarch to be a single mom. I got her together with Marcus because he has good genes but is noncommittal. He ended up massively invested in his kid and came around all the time to play with her and help her with homework. Dude ended up being one of the sweetest daddies I've ever had in the game.
Paolo is also a wonderful father, he maxed out the fitness skill so he was a grandfather as well. His genetics are a disaster though
Being non-committal and a good dad isn’t incongruent.
Honestly my Don Lothario is a great dad to all his kids, he just has several baby mommas and doesn’t neccessarily get along with them. 😂😂
@TheDawnofVanlife Fair. I just figured if he was noncommittal, he wouldn't pester my matriarch. Instead, they were deeply in love and ended up getting married when their kid was a young adult. A love story for the ages.
@@lorrainethomas241 I find my non-committal sims are more interested in quitting their job a lot and moving towns then it affecting their ability to commit romantically that much. Which surprised me. Especially when it is my intent for them to be romantically non-commital. Don't know how I feel about it. :D

To be fair, an infant or toddler Sim has to be adopted by any of the adults in the household for them to be checking in on them. Once they have adopted the kid, as caregivers, they will constantly be checking in on the toddler. Believe me, they will keep checking in on them to the point it's so annoying. So annoying that some modders have a mod to tune down the checking in on infants and toddlers interaction.
That's what I was thinking, it's like each of them are like "well someone else is probably watching the kid, the kid's not my responsibility anyway", lol
I think the problem is that you haven't designated any sim are your prime carer.
It basically makes the sim prioritise the toddler's needs.
Which is why every sim is ignoring you and such.
The only one who took care of you is the one you asked for help from.
A backstory that I thought of is that the child was born to a past resident of the party house and left her behind when moving out. The child now comes with the house, but since no official adoption has taken place, no one considers the child their responsibility. Everyone only interacts with the child in passing before moving on with their day with no further thought on the matter.

Storylines like this are why you're the best simmer on UA-cam. Lol! I would've never thought of something like this, and I'm currently playing a troubled teen storyline where I only play the main character, and leave her parents and siblings on full autonomy. You took it to the next level with this troubled toddler story. Fantastic, I love it. 😂
This is the kind of thing that... I simply CANNOT DO because I'm too perfectionist to do it... I'm unable to let toddlers get anything below "Top Notch Toddler" in my game, "Happy Toddlers" are only tolerated if I'm playing on short lifespan. The worst thing is... I also get bored of the game because everything is too perfect and sims don't make choices of their own

I know a similar challenge, use the children can live alone mod and the children can take care of toddlers and infants mod and play as a child having to take care of your little sibling, live in an abandoned building or somewhere like that and use the mailbox cheat to have no bills, but you still have to feed yourself and the toddler.

i used to do this in the sims 3 using nraas mods. i turned the rest of the family into nocs that still lived in the family, and then i played a child at the mercy of the uncontrollable adults
The neglect is so realistic 😂 also, freaking out from being left in chair for 2 minutes is classic toddler moment

You can only control ONE sims, from infant to their death, it’s pretty fun.

But, now I need to know if this would happen with parents and other kids in the house. As in, if they're assigned as a parent or primary caregiver officially. Could it still happen?

Its actually way faster to get the toddler fed if the toddler ask as opposed to directing it via the adult….when the adult is the kids actual parent or caregiver in game that is. 😂😂 No official adoption happened so these sims were just like “hi random kid, tell us if you need anything” 😂
