I cast your videos up on my huge tv so it really feels like I’m driving there! Your videography is improving all the time, so it’s awesome to see your travels, especially seeing places I’ll probably never see in person.
Another great video. I love the gold country. And I love Columbia State Historic Park - I've been there probably 25 times over my lifetime and have brought lots of visitors. I'm sure you'll enjoy it too. (I'm actually surprised you haven't been back since grade school - probably 4th grade.)
I like the meaning "Straight up Steep" to define Tuolumne County, and it's actually true (their end of Bagby Grade, the Priest Grade, and Sonora Pass are classic examples of that meaning). The dam there at Moccasin overflowed and nearly breached during that squall line in 2018, and it washed everything at the Fish Hatchery there down river. Here's a quick tip: if you go to Columbia but want to avoid the hassle of going up through Sonora, turn left on the road just past that first stop light in Jamestown at 13:52, and it meets up with Hwy 49 again at 17:52. Just keep going straight on that road and you'll get to Columbia in no time.
Great video , was just there a few weeks ago. On another matter have always enjoyed the music you use. Any chance like you use to in other videos name the particular track you are playing ? Especially on this video.
Hi from France !!!!! I had my lunch in front of your video, visiting your country !
That’s really cool! Welcome aboard!
I love every bit of California's Gold Rush Country, and esp. the Sonora area. Many thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching!
Now you’re in my neck of the woods😍😍🙌🏾🙌🏾
That’s awesome!

Glad you enjoyed it! I really need to get back out there and walk around town and see what there is to see. Seen so many great pictures of the place.

When I saw this video, I kept thinking that drivng 49 on a motorcycle would be a blast! i would love to come and see that area.
I’ve hard many people say that CA-49 is great for motorcycles. There’s a motorcycle run up in Angels Camp every year or so I’ve heard.
My dad used to river-raft on the Tuolumne river back in the 70's and he said the New Melones dam pretty much ruined rafting on the river up there.
That sounds like a great time back in the day. Thanks for sharing! :)

Just saw your car by cottonwood and subscribed!!
That’s awesome! Welcome aboard! I actually have family up there. I live about four hours away in central California.
Kyle, for those of us who aren't from California or familiar with the county names, how, exactly, is "Tuolumne" pronounced? "TWO-OHH-LUMM-KNEE"?
Two All O Me
Kyle, thank you!
I used to offer telemarketers $1M if they could pronounce Tuolumne. After 25 years no one even came close!
I’m enjoying your videos. Just one thing, your comments your adding can’t see all of what your saying. To low on the screen
I’m not changing my format because everyone else seems to like it the way I do it.
