Bought a house that has this. There was no manual. I tried to adjust it for daylight time and killed all lights. Found the manual online & still couldn't get the lights to work. They should just transcribe this video as the operation manual. Thanks to it I got it working again in minutes. Actually they should put out a new model with a 21st century user interface.
I hate the set up of this thing. It is so complicated and backwards. It’s like it’s from another era and we bought it like 3 years ago. Once you get the hang of it it’s not terrible but it’s easy to forget all of the extra clicks and steps needed. The workflow this thing should be redone. Very antiquated
I concur, this was an excellent video on how to operate these type transformers. It standardizes each transformer type and is very easy to follow: transformer (45W/120W/200W/300W/600W/900W) mode: SL-45-12A; SL-120-12A;SL-200-12A;DIY-300PS;DIY-600PS;DIY-900PS; my hampton was model SL-45-12V
This actually helps when the time of daylight changes. For instance if you want your light on earlier than completely dark you set the time on/off as desired. But as you move into summer/winter time those times arent as desirable so the photocell can take over.
How do I set timer so the lights are on all the time even when power it interrupted? I have a programable timer for on/off of power to Hampton Bay transformer.
I setup the "Photocell ON / Timer OFF" mode. It works ok for one day, but the mode never repeats and is off after one cycle. I have to manually activate this mode every day for it to work. Shouldn't it be repeating itself automatically? I also did a factory reset, set the time, setup the "Photocell ON / Timer OFF" mode again and it still doesn't work. Any ideas?
Glad you had such an easy time. I haven't been very lucky. The transformer seems to have an "attitude" and I've tried several different approaches...all have failed. I have a degree in electrical engineering and have worked with some very sophisticated equipment in my day. Tomorrow, I'll try to do a FULL RESET...but so far I haven't found anything regarding this process. I guess UNPLUGGING it for a while is a start...LOL... More later, maybe

bought 2 at home depot, one dead and the they do not have timers in case you are in shaded area. Keep that in mind if you cannot use the photocell due to shade. Mione has no time clock to set

You can do a factory reset by holding down the "OK" button for 3-4 seconds,m 4 -"8888" will appear and when you release the button it will show 12:00. At this point you will need to set the correct local time Also, once you move from one program to another and the previous program is not activated NOTE: You must press "OK " after you set a program to lock in the program. You must leave it in the program selected, if after you selected a program and decide to use another the previous program is deactivated
Not calling a number. Someone who knows please answer if a fuse exists in this system. Mine stopped powering on. What causes the power to not work? FYI its connected to always on power. Breaker has been checked. No corrosion on terminals. Knowing all of that what about the unit itself causes this not to power on.

All you need to do is setting clock & time on/off program: Open your “USE AND CARE GUIDE” and look at “operation” , step by step : 1 setting the clock, 5 Setting the TIME ON/OFF. Done!
Overwattage for the transformer. The lights will turn on then when the transformer gets hot it will shut down when it cools off it will restart and do this throughout the program cycle.

Totally confused on the difference on "Time On/Off" and Photocell on. Why would you use both?

How long does it take the photocell to kick lights on
If your power outlet is on a timer how do you set the transformer to always turn on when it gets power? Manual always has to be reset each night

The screen on transformer blacks out..but when I push menu button it is correct time & settings. Why does this happen?

What is causing my lights, when set to go on at dusk and off at sunrise to go on and off throughout the night?
