Amazing content and video quality! Question: how would I determine a compatible TTX version to use on a 2022 Ducati Hypermotard which hosts an Ohlins S46PR1C1? I've been working to find a compatible TTX for eight months now, still haven't cracked the code..
Hello Sean, We asked our product specialist here at Öhlins HQ. Below you find his answer. At the moment we have no TTX GP shock available for the RSV 4 RF 2017. It is possible to upgrade from a TTX R&T(OEM) to TTX GP, you have to change the adjustment valves and also add a hydraulic pre-load adjuster and change to a shorter spring. Your nearest Öhlins service center should be able to help you with this. It's likely that we will develop a new TTX GP application for the RSV 4 RF. It will be communicated on our social media pages as well as though www.ohlins.com and our network of distributors and service centers. We do have an upgrade for the fork www.ohlins.com/products/database/#?categories=4815&page=1&brands=4772&models=6640 , The FKR 100 is a cartridgekit developed from Super bike racing and this is a real racing racing products that used in some national racing championships. Contact your closest Öhlins Service Center for more information! Have a nice weekend! Best Regards from Öhlins Racing AB
Had my shock back and the damping is much improved, my Ohlins centre said they cannot in fact fit the TTXGP adjuster valves and needles as they don't fit the RT shock but they re-valved to same spec with new spring toys suit, All I can say is it is much better :-)
matveychernykh Hello, we have a list of films we plan to do during 2017! Among them there is planned to do MTB videos as well! They will also be published here on UA-cam and on our website! Best Regards from Öhlins marketing team.
This guy speaks good English .. Good Graphics.. but when you pay $740.00 " My Stock forks were bent, I hit a Deer in the Fall of 2019 I paid $2008.00 each for new Stock Yamaha Forks.for an Ohlin Cartridge Kit for a Yamaha FZ-07 they give you some crappy insturctions printed in a blurr in a tiny book 1/4 the size of 8.5"11" typing paper .. and the English is so terrible it makes no sense. I was able to download a pdf file of the instructions and expand the size on my lap top screen. When you have to refer to the Yamaha Shop manual which uses different names for the parts the real confusion begings.. The Ohlin parts diagrams not so good .. I was not sure if I was supposed to remove the Yamaha bottoming spring or not.. Ohlin could not be bothered to print a clear photo and refer to the spring by Yamaha part Number.. Yes I know they said 10 times to have the parts replaced by an Authorized Ohlin Repair shop .. but I have been working on Cars, Trucks , Tractors , Front end Loaders Cranes, MOTORCYCLES AND SNOWMOBILES FOR OVER 45 YEARS.. I have a shop manual for amost every vehicle I own ..and Ohlin Cartridge replacments manual is as bad as GIVI Luggage manuals .. with total crap photos.. The Yamaha Shop manuals are pretty good once you get accustomed to the format..
@@dansteadman2528 i had many ohlins cartridges, complete forks, gas cartridges and shocks. used them all. without revalve none of the worked right. it is just an expensive lego with close ro zero experience added in to the mix. i believe this is a consequence of some simulation software in use instead pr actual riding, or very unskilled test riders. in any case too expensive set of parts is not a suspension yet.
@@SAMFICOM Lol dude they aren't legos. You have to install them for them to work. There is a reason they are regarded very highly in the automotive and bicycle industries. Sounds like you installed it wrong. Anyone with a brain knows these shocks work wonders.
@@dansteadman2528 I had - Ohlins forks (complete), ohlins TTX, TTX2, TTX GP (total 4), Ohlins 30mm cartridges, Ohlins gas pressurized cartridges. Except for gas pressurized cartridges where valving was very close to good, valving on all the rest of their products was off completely. However I also believe that for for someone with your intellect level Onlins, or any other well marketed brand suspension will be just fine out of the box.
@@dansteadman2528 And about this specific video. - We can see typical as you call them "dude" who has zero clue what he is talking about - he is reading from improvised teleprompter (not even a proper one). He could be replaces by Alexia any day and there will be no change in text or meaning at all. This is what Ohlins became our days - they use some software to simulate damping, over vise they would not be able to cover such wide range of motorcycles. Then if customers complain they will adjust it (maybe) on the next year batch (maybe). So basically if you buy ohlins - plan additional $$$ for re-valve and after few re-valve iterations they will work just fine. However taking in account initial cost of components this is ridiculous.
Buying a nice used R1200GS that had this upgrade done. Pretty excited.
Great product. Really fantastic.

Can it fit in ktm rc 390
How does one adjust for ride hight ?
In this film, we use a hydraulic preload adjuster. The start image shows a TTX GP that is adjusted with C spanners. Br Öhlins.
What about ttx vs stx?
Posso colocar na minha CBR 650 F ou CBR 1000 RR? Onde vende no Brasil?

I have just sent my 2017 RSV4 RF TTX-RT shock to my Ohlins centre to be re-valved to TTX-GP spec. Hoping it makes a worthwhile improvement

Curious, where did you get the re-valving done?
Can you do something like this, but about cyclin forks and dampers

You wrong. You not mastered it. Your suspension is a wast if money. Especially shocks.
Comedy right here! Really well thought out. Good one. So funny
