Couple questions: 1) Corsa vs Vararam, you did both. Whats your take? 2) What is the difference of the intake temp between factory, Vararam and Corsa? Kind of the point is cold air and better flow right? Seems like a lot of expense to get a little more noise. Sound will come with proper performance I'd think.
Great job!! Just followed everything you did and bam 💥. Installed perfectly! Ready to go now! One question if you see this, I had 3 pieces of vinyl that came in my box, but didn’t see where they go, or even in the instructions. Did you get those?
@@WaterFowler41 well holy crap!! Been racking my brain over these vinyl pieces, and was hoping to come back here and you’d answered my question. You did! Whoop whoop! LolI didn’t see them in the parts list but maybe I missed it. Sure appreciate it brother!!
Thank you for this comprehensive video. Very well done. I have the Corsa Sport cat-back exhaust system on my 2020 Laramie (non-etorque), and I think this would match up quite nicely.
Hello. I just bought a 2019 ram with the same filter set up. Just wondering when do you have to replace the filter? I don’t know when the filter was installed. I bought the truck that way. I just hit 77k miles on it
This would be my next mod on my truck but not decided to which CAI i should invest in..this corsa does not fit etorque trucks so this one is off my list..
Hey man, ran across your video looking for reviews on the Corsa intake. sincere question I'm looking to buy my dad this intake in specific or the S&B and honestly, I'm not concerned about noise at all. I'm actually interested to know if there was any actual change in gas mileage? he has the 1500 hemi E-torque
Looking to do this on mine. Do you have any audio clips from inside the cabin? I’d love to hear that on video, like you alluded to here (hearing more growl when you step on it). Thanks!
P0456 EVAP error. Think this has anything to do with the new air intake? I had also installed the billet catch can and since only the two mods I have the check engine light. Ordered a new purge valve to see if this is the fix or not. What do you think?
Sold the vararam for a fishing kayak way back in the day when covid was shutting down the world so I could maintain my sanity over the summer. The vararam is supposed to add 30 hp and the Corsa 11 hp. I didn’t dyno the truck so unsure of real world hp add. Fit and finish, the Corsa takes the cake because it has more mounting points and seems much more secure once installed. The vararam connects to the throttle body but not where else which gives it kind of a floppy feel. Overall both improve the sound, the vararam in early throttle and the Corsa at wot.
you know what would be cool looking? get one of them 3/4" lights you put on your front grill, in a blue color. and put one of them inside the Box... :P just an idea... edit: dammit, watched the video further and seen you thought of that idea. Next Item, PedalMax - it will make you crap your pants with the take off improvement. (after your warranty expires of course)
Do you feel that this CAI changed the tone of your Corsa extreme at all? I have the same setup as you and am trying to pick between the S&B and the Corsa Powercore... thoughts?
Sold it for a fishing kayak before the world shut down for covid round 1. It was a smart choice because kayak fishing kept me sane while everything was shutting down.
@@WaterFowler41 When you did the install, did you have to disconnect the battery? Or, rather, did you? There seems to be a mixed feeling on whether you should do it or not, thanks again! BTW, got the Corsa Extreme because of your video.... best decision ever.
No it won’t. The dealer has to prove the aftermarket part was the root cause of the issue. This is a well designed intake and has 0 chance of causing any issues. Magnusson Moss Warranty act is our friend!
Are you aware of the Magnusson moss act? That protects us. The dealership has to prove the issue was caused by the aftermarket part for that particular coverage to be denied. If they could decline any warranty coverage solely because you have aftermarket stuff on your truck there’d be no aftermarket industry. My trucks has the rear window replaced twice, steering wheel replaced, accelerator pedal, and the rear brake “moan” fix kit install. All of this while my trucks been modified. Find a good dealership to get your service done at and you’ll never have any issues, again assuming your aftermarket part is not the root cause of the issue.

Those two threaded outlets on the box is a great idea because Most filters that pass through a box get knocked off because of the motor moving
Bro, your a virtual instruction manual! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks so much!!!

Those goes on the inside of the plastic cover behind the corsa logo so you can pick what color the Corso logo is. White, blue, or red

Corsa's site says they are good up to 150k miles so unless the filter looks dirty to you, I think you're fine.
This would be my next mod on my truck but not decided to which CAI i should invest in..this corsa does not fit etorque trucks so this one is off my list..
The video says it fits the Etorque. I also checked their website, it specifically states that it fits the Etorque.
Yup!

I’m going to grab some more sounds clips, I did not grab any in cab yet but enough people have asked so will be posting some soon!
cool. Any reason you didn’t pop in a throttle body spacer at the same time?
Haven't heard any conclusive reviews that those do anything on modern FI engines so I didn't think it was worth the time/$$.
Just did an install but check engine light came on. May be how the sensor was oriented. Did any of you have the same issue?
Nope I did not, double check your sensor and unplug your battery for a few minutes
Worked. I did realign the sensor to be sure it is as per the instructions. Let’s see if that is the fix. Thanks for your help.
Glad it worked! Have fun with the new intake!
P0456 EVAP error. Think this has anything to do with the new air intake? I had also installed the billet catch can and since only the two mods I have the check engine light. Ordered a new purge valve to see if this is the fix or not. What do you think?
Gas cap! Unplug your battery let everything reset. While it’s doing that, remove and retighten your gas cap.
Well just dropped a pretty penny on this intake and the corsa sport exhaust used your promo.!
You won’t regret it!
@@WaterFowler41 what kind of fuel mileage did you get out of the two together? Also did you go with a corsa catch can as well?
No catch can yet, my mileage is probably worse after because I’m heavier on the gas. Love that Corsa sound!
This looks like a great mod, can you tell me if you can tie in a AEV snorkel with this Corsa CIA?
I’m not sure, I don’t think AEV makes a snorkel for the newer Rams
Curious why you switched from the Vararam to this; how do the dyno results compare? How about fit and finish? Thanks!

lol yup red light in there!
Didn’t you have the VeraRam air intake?
At one point yes then back to factory and now rocking the Corsa! Musical chairs with intakes.
We’re u unhappy with the VeraRam?
Nope, had an opportunity to purchase a kayak when the world shut down due to covid so truck parts turned into kayak bass fishing hobby!

The big change in sound it at wot you hear more engine bay noise when you hammer it with the Corsa.
@@WaterFowler41 Thanks for the response! Was there a reason you swapped from the Vararam? I saw your install video not long ago, thanks again!

I unplugged the battery to let everything de energize. It’s good practice to do so especially when unplugging and plugging in sensors.
How do you like it, now having used it for a few months? Thanks
Love it, the growl when I hammer it can’t be beat!
@@WaterFowler41 thanks, I just ordered one for my Rebel. Can’t wait!

This system is much more “stable” in the engine bay. A little more of the traditional intake too and the procure filter roars at WOT.
