This is what the entire show has been leading up to
@Snek I hate that this isn’t even a joke…
This been leading up to this moment for a long time. I ever since those words were first uttered. Ever since that fateful day in 1977
@Jesse Pinkman Like Willem Dafoe in NWH when he said "You know im something of a scientist myself"
What a failure
and im perfectly fine with that
a surprise to be sure but a welcome one
we will watch your career with great interest
So civilized.
I see what you did there....
There's always a bigger fish
one of the most iconic star wars scene
This is where the fun... ends
Nope, this is where the fun begin
Pain
There are lots of Star Wars movies, series, and others coming our way so, the fun begins.
We may be getting a season 2.
@@paladinheadquarters7776 really?
This whole show was one giant fucking meme. And I love it.
this whole show felt so cheap but i kinda liked how not good it was it’s a fun kind of stupid

1 was decent, 2-4 was meh, 5-6 was great!
Obi Wan went from a spunky witty Jedi who says “hello there” to a depressed man who simply says “hello” back to a man who can happily say “hello there” which is echoed again in A New Hope. His entire arc is all based off the way he greets people
hahahaha, you have a point tho haha
It represents his hope for people. When he is depressed and thinks everyone is bad, he is scared to greet them in a friendly way
And he kept doing it even when he was DEAD
@@FelipeYoshioCordeirodeSouza how
Best jedi in the entire saga!
I love how before he says the line everyone in the theater is saying "SAY THE LINE" love it
Edit: I love that everyone is saying this is fake, but these likes aren't tho
...cause they know that it's the only line that could be possibly said.😅
its edited pal, they weren't watching this clip in cinema
This isn’t real
How can you hear any words from all that commotion lol
They don't show tv shows in movie theaters, and notice how everyone is on the same level, but in a theater everyone would be staggered downwards
I couldn’t help but smile when he said that. I didn’t expect it at all, a nice little wink to the fans.
They HAD to plan it like that- they've got to know that if there's one line we want, nay, NEED to hear from Kenobi, it's this one. Well executed, well placed and a true wink as it were to those of us who get it.
Nice little wink. It's not. It's mandatory. This shit has been a meme for seventeen fucking years
Episode 3: "Hello"
Episode 6: "Hello there"
He has truly returned as the beloved Jedi we all know
episode 3:can't beat vader
episode 6:beats vader to death
pulled a Cap Avengers line and held that "Assemble."

@@aesir1ases64 or even better they have learnt to do both
Regardless of how mixed some people are with this show, I think we can all agree that everyone liked this
except for some people who hate fan service for some reason
@@tomatozombie135 he literally just says that line and nothing afterwards. It was glaringly obvious how manipulative the scene was trying to be.
@@aytony4090 please tell me you’re joking😭 at this point I’m not sure
@@hannaosterlund5974 Even the show knows how manipulative it is because there's that 5 second gap given for people like you to cream your pants
@@aytony4090 God, you've got to be kidding me. Dude, it's literally a call back to the first film. Yes, it's fanservice, but so what? We didn't need to see the conversation he has with Luke, it's not important. The line has real significance not only to the fandom but to the story as a whole. How he greets people really shows the mindset he's in. His enthusiasm has returned and he has restored himself as the Jedi Obi-Wan Kenobi. Just because it's a line we all recognize and enjoy doesn't mean that calling back to it is automatically bad and squandering the writing.
He did what he must
He did try
Fans: This is one of the worst star wars series I have watched...
General Kenobi: "Hello there"
Fans: The best series I have ever seen!
Actual sheep
It's a good show apart from episode 4
Thank God I’m not the only one thinking this. They nailed Star Wars for like 15 minutes during the whole show, and the rest was awful, but everyone only cares about cool moments.
It had its problems for sure, I won’t lie. But it’s greatest moments were never explicitly stated, but still impacted the story. Show don’t tell type of thing.
Star Wars fans are cancerous imbeciles. Fickle, petty, insufferable twatweasels just like pro-wrestling fans.
Obi-Wan: Do you want to have the high ground? Well, I can teach you. I'm something of a Jedi myself.
Stop that high ground joke ffs, its been 17 years
@@BuriedAlien-TRN242 Can't hear you from way down there cause *I have the high ground*

I was waiting all season for this moments and it didn't disappoint.
I feel like Star Wars is one of the only franchise in existence that can canonically acknowledge memes with no issue because of the whole poetry thing. Characters can say the same thing over and over again and it would somehow make sense
I thought he would say "it's morbin time."
ARGH STOP SHUT UP SHUT UPPPP
One of the movies of ALL TIME!!!
bro that is seriously one of the movies ive ever watched
Bro if he said that the box office would EXPLODE it would be the highest grossing tv show of all time
Watched this with my brother and cousins and we absolutely lost it when he said the thing
May the Force be with you, Obi-Wan. Always. (1977 - 2022)
? Season 2 and most likely a 3rd will happen. They have like 10 more years of story to tell before he kills Darth maul...and Luke starts looking for him, because of R2D2 message from princess Leah...as episodeIV begins.
I think you misunderstood
he said it.
i repeat, he said it.
Bro if only this was actually shown in theatres... I'd BE THERE.
Pretty sure they did show it in theaters, this is real I guess
They're going to be showing a supercut of the whole show in theaters not long from now, actually.
As far as i know they are going to, but i'm not so sure
The Showed it in 1 Theater in Canada on Episode 6's Launch Day as a Supercut of all 6 Episodes. Hayden was There
@@idlyblare it's not it's a template with a green screen so you can put whatever clip you want over it
My favorite part is how Ewan did a phenominal job of starting to sound like Guinness.
Maybe they mixed his voice wit Alec's in post ;-)
@@bigscreen835 Ewan intentionally tried to sound like Alec Guinness to transform himself into "A New Hope"'s Obi-Wan.
When I was watching this scene, I said hello there as a joke while he was walking towards Luke, but then he said it right after and it had me dying
this is just like the you know I'm something of a scientist myself moment
You can tell it took Ewan a few tried to execute that without bursting out laughing. Look at the smile, he knows what it means to fans.
Actually he talked about it and says he appreciate this line just because it's the first thing Obi-Wan says in ANH
Ewan isn't holding laughter in this scene. He smiles because he can finally greet the son of his best friend, after coming to terms with the fact his best friend is forever lost

I thought he was going to say it in episode 3 but OF COURSE that’s something that must be saved for the finale!!

this brings me so much joy
Had to make up for Vader not saying anything about the high ground
I was crying when he said hello there ;-; Such an amazing show
lol the audience reaction filter looks great
After the third episode when we got a simple “Hello”, I genuinely thought that was the closest we were going to get so when this scene came it completely caught me off guard. Now that the season/series is complete, I can say that I did enjoy the show. Some of the writing needed improvement and a lot of the side characters weren’t that interesting, Tala grew on me especially with the Rogue One style sacrifice. I love how they handled Leia aside from the “chase” scenes where grown adults can’t catch a 10 year old, she really felt like a mini Carrie Fisher especially with her sarcasm. If we do get a second season, I hope they put a bit more thought into it especially since they’d have to be creative on how to get Ben off Tatooine again, or make a really interesting plotline on the planet without drawing attention to himself as a Jedi.
I remember when obiwan said this to Morbius when it was time
Don't you mean Morbin time?
This entries series was just 🔥🔥

He's done it! He said the line!
I was crying gobs before this. And when he said it, I lost it even more.
😭❤️🙌🏼
The growing of the "come on" and the cheering was perfect ❤🤣
Legendary
Having Ewan McGregor saying Hello There in the final episode does put a smile on my face 😃
Thank you so much❤❤❤
This is that what we wanted!
I love when Obi Wan seemed like he was going to lose against Vader and then he remembers why he was fighting for and then he looks to the camera and says the line: Its high ground time! It gives me chills everytime. Best scene ever.
I don't know why, but this gives me hope for humanity
I just immediately know where the original sound of the cheering is from lmao
Great editing for the cinema. It looks really legit
This Was my Reaction as Well!!!
You guys got a chance to watch this epic finale in a theatre. So lucky.
Its an edit, those "people" down below are used everyone, search a morbius video qnd they'll be used, its a common way to make it look you're in the cinema and people cheered
@@TheGoldballer Okay. But, I heard the finale was going to be released in some theatres in US. So, I thought this is it.

Hello there
I wish that we could've gotten maybe a little bit of quick bonding between these two to slowly but surely strengthen their relationship before ANH. Haha funny quote kinda took me out of the moment tbh
But it’s not just a funny quote though, it’s literally a habit of how he introduces himself to people. He learned it from the first time he met General Grevious, and then used it here when he first meets Luke and then again when he first meets R2. If you wanted to see them speak that’s fine, but him saying hello there is more than just a meme it’s actually a part of his character.
@@artloverivy That justification makes sense and I really wish that were true but I think we all know the reason they put this in
Honestly I think it’s better left unsaid.
@@modularjoeba I think it can be both. For the meme and because it’s in character.
@@modularjoeba why? So people like you can whine and cry about it? 🤣
Entire generations of fans were united by this one scene; this one phrase.
This scene alone made me so happy.
It only just started getting good on the last episode smh
If only we had more of Obi Wan referencing the prequels, more Vader and Anakin and less Leia e Reva...
