@@lazerpulse It's a glitch that will double your jump attack damage, most easily with jump-casted spells. The one phantom that was doing insane damage with the swift glintstone shard was abusing it.

It perfectly encapsulates everything that's wrong with the balance in this game. If G9 is having this much trouble surmounting the gank advantages with his vastly superior skill and management of tools, what chance do most other invaders have? Invaders have to put in far more effort than your typical gank, with far less return for said effort. And even if you have 2 to 3 times the skill of your opponents, that still isn't enough of an advantage to surmount a 3 man gank spamming whatever they want behind zero friendly fire.
I don't think there is any ammount of skill that can defeat even 3 brain dead gankers in a small open area like this, all they have to do is spam. If they were all melee I could see some ways to deal with it but even then you'd need them to be very bad players and you'd have to be way above average. This game is a joke
In my opinion Elden Ring should have a flinching friendly fire like Monster Hunter does. It may do minimal to no friendly fire, but they'll actually have to pay attention to push the advantage
The easiest fix to this would be to make the player limit 5. Host + 2 phantoms vs. 2 invaders that can't hit each other. It's such a simple braindead fix that would help the state of balance SOOOO much, but Fromsoft hates PvP, and it's clearly apparent. The only reason Fromsoft games have pvp is because they know how much more sales and player retention pvp games have.

There are maybe a few plays that could beat this but they’re all Hail Marys. 1. dragon pimp 1 shot before your invincibility turns off 2. Radahn UGS WA near the edge of the water 3. Storm hawk near the portal like they did 4. Black flame tornado near portal. 5. Tree sentinel shield to fire back some of their magic. Again, most of these are so insanely unlikely that it’d take a great deal of luck.
Judging my some of the mages health you could’ve tried to go for a one shot Erdtree greatshield build. But that would only get one of them. The AOE options would’ve had a slight edge. Not that anything would’ve surpassed a 20% chance of success 😞

Actually got tilted just watching this. Heard in Koop's stream yesterday that some of these slugs have gank discords and they plan this sorta thing. I also learned they really have a problem with the block button existing lmao Jee went for it though, and that's the content right there.

I hate the hand holding in this game. The overleveled phantom at 15:59 does a running glintstone shard while moving and facing in the opposite direction of Jee, but the game has a turn cap so generous that he still aims the shard properly. No patch is going to fix that, the game is fundamentally broken.
The spells spam wouldn’t be such problem if fromsoft allowed for the followup casting animation only on small/medium spells and not for something big like cometshard
Look at star shower. Spell spam will always be a problem with er spells designed for easy spam. They'd have to go back on the cast time, tracking, fp cost and poise damage changes of this game.

This is every invasion on xbox. I'm convinced that these type of people hate playing Elden ring. So they take big chunks of their time to stop other people from playing it by gankin.
ER invasions are just cancer, it's why I quit pretty much a few months after the game was launched.. They did not balance the game at all with invaders in mind.. Invaders are massively under leveled and then the host can have massively over leveled CO-OP partners.. The reality is that 99% of invasions are with over leveled phantoms unless you invade at RL 150+ and even then you can still get them. Atleast at the start of the game you could invade people of similar levels together since they're running through the game together, it quickly turned into people using all the OP broken stuff and having a high level phantom run them through the game and level 20s getting moonveil from a phantom off the bat.
I get invasions like these frequently at the RL I invade at and it drives me nuts. Props to you for not losing your cool because after a few dozens deaths I probably would've just blocked them and gone and do something else.
Yeah, it's like invaders can't have any chance unless they are 3x better than all the people in the game.. 1. Invaders deal friendly fire.. 2. You almost never get another invader anyway. 3. 80%+ of the time it's a team of 3 or team of 2 with a blue that spawns in. 4. The way invading works is that you ALWAYS invade someone a higher level than you and with a better weapon., 5. damage scaling is awful so high level phantoms have massive health, massive defense, and still do massive damage..

That flask that negates all magic damage was a must here. Used it when game came out so maybe it got nerfed but was super underrated in invasions where it’s primarily magic spammers. One sip and you’re just immune to magic damage for like 30 seconds. Allows you to aggress.
10:59 what you say about chainsaw is so true. I've seen a LOT of invaders recently resort to chainsawing when things get even a little tough but there's no merit to it because it's just not skilful, and makes you look salty and just as shameless as the gankers
Chat has a boner for it though. I don't really know why. Jee doesn't do it and Steel frowns upon it most of the time. But some of these dudes suggest chainsaw within 5min of a "problem" presenting itself.
This is the one thing I'll disagree with jee on. Not that I don't respect the mindset, but I don't think it makes you as shameless as them. If you're going to abuse every mechanic possible, I say it's fair game. Not everyone wants to rise up to the challenge of facing an impossible gank and play by their rules. Not everyone cares about trying to display skill in a scenario where you're predetermined to lose because your opponents are basically cheating. Again, I respect the mindset. Imo though, if you exploit, you get exploited.
Those guys at the beach are still at it constantly. Ran into them a few times the other day. Every time I would spawn there they would always rebuff too. Gankers just really have too much time on their hands.
My favorite spot to invade! where all brave just PvE enjoyers wait for some reason until an evil red man comes to bring justice to the lands between. I don't even know why you can invade at this spot, it is just not winnable against a proper 3-man-gank squad since it is a small open field. Also, you better watch out not to get exposed like this again G9, they clearly out-skilled you! 3 vs 1 means they were 3 times better (ganker logic, the fact that some people really upload a 3 vs 1 and call it "out skilled" is damn crazy)

Honest PVE'rs Physick flask change would have trivialized this I think, poise physick and non-physical absorption one, just nuke the ps halberd player while the other two heal you. Now it's a 2v1, much .ore manageable.
I still will never understand how gankers find this fun. Pushing all the advantages into their favor where they don't even have to think they just have to mash buttons in this small area to win.
Dedication is Key. Its these endless agonizing invasion sessions starting in Dark Souls 1 that helped forged me into who I am today ( I still suck ass, I just don't get THAT upset anymore )
I've always thought so since the beta of this game but the lock distance is indecent.this possibility for magicians to hide behind excessive magic spam. I think they increased the lock distance because of the level design which is much larger compared to souls. They also increased it to make the game simpler too In fact I think I know where AC6's influences come from.
I admire Jee's dedication. devs at fromsoft should understand that their game is so one-sided to the host that what really carries the activity for invasions is the sheer dedication of invaders to deal with this BS, many throw down the towel and go back to dark souls 3, i for sure would not have invaded these shameless players more than twice.
They understand perfectly, its by design. Can't risk losing the casual audience now that their games are huge money makers. Invaders not being cartoonishly disadvantaged would scare away all those Reddit sales.
You would be surprised. The same kind of people who do this, are the same kind of people who are STILL ganking 24/7 at Pontiff's area in DS3, despite how dead the game has gotten there. And a lot of those kinds of people display obsessive behavior, and a disproportionately high number of them post exposed videos of them "trashing" invaders 3v1, as if it were something to be proud of. Getting summoned as Spear of the Church in DS3 was way more fun than having to jump into Arena or invading in ER and having to deal with spell and incantation spammers. It's not even that they are hard to deal with, it's just boring. DS3 combat was mostly melee and that's what made it better.
The thing about gankers that always perplexes me is they're not playing for fun. A 3v1 isn't that fun. They're just playing to piss other people off. How sad it is to waste their time.
Rather than recreating vow of silence from should implement the sacred order heal glitch into a spell. This would allow gankers to spam their spells without damaging the invader, but still forces the invader to roll or be rstaggered
I died several times to a Sleep-build Lag-switcher and took every loss. He would lag-switch even if I damaged him. He couldn’t handle me damaging him, let alone a single loss. I kept on playing even after all that bullshit (even had a wholesome moment with a chill Host and Phantom in that same place u died in the video lol), meanwhile he’s one loss away from having a mental breakdown. I won the mental-game in the end. Even if I didn’t get my revenge, I played long enough to see yet another asshole get BODIED by a chad-ultra GS player in a 2v2. It was glorious. He DC’d even if we didn’t gank in a 2v2. karma is such an attractive bitch lol 😂
I was thinking.. overloaded build for poise w light roll flask, a thrusting sword w bloodhound step and the two talsimans for the multi hit buffs, but again would also have its shortfalls.
I've been through this so many times. Shitters magic spam then hate message you and I've learned to run barrier of gold, erdtree great shield, and golden vow along with multiple forms of regen and the magic defense talisman with the pearl drake talisman both +2. Still tho with an area like this I'd keep going in this war of attrition until they become tired thats the only real win you can get from this torture until fromsoft nerfs most if not all forms of magic and ranged projectiles into the ground or atleast gives them severely diminishing returns after like 40 or 50.
This is why erdtree greatshield is always one of the best counter for mages, it makes the mages stop spamming spells. The golden retaliation also deals a massive amount of damage too.
This is why Jeenine is the GOAT! THE GOAT!!!! He embodies the champion of the people, he subject’s himself to this abuse, and shows us how to persevere.

We saw a swift glintstone shard take like ⅙ or 1/7th of your hp, which is insane since Swift glintstone Shard is like one of the faster (if not the fastest) sorcery in the game. Honestly, they should just remove these types of areas from the invasion areas cause there is basically no coverage to actually run and get a safe heal off or block spells. This or either they should add a bit of cover

The overleveled summon was using the void glitch where casting during a jump doubles the projectile's damage at double the MP cost

I think severing these areas is the way to go tbh, if you were to fight somewhere else with enemies and cover your odds would improve a lot

Frankly - magic needs no rebalance, ER just needs to switch on friendly fire during invasions so spamming gankers end up killing each other.

I think password match making should stay restricted to level ranges, still, too. (Meta can only password match metas, etc) that would help, too.
That flask that negates all magic damage was a must here. Used it when game came out so maybe it got nerfed but was super underrated in invasions where it’s primarily magic spammers. One sip and you’re just immune to magic damage for like 30 seconds. Allows you to aggress.
10:59 what you say about chainsaw is so true. I've seen a LOT of invaders recently resort to chainsawing when things get even a little tough but there's no merit to it because it's just not skilful, and makes you look salty and just as shameless as the gankers
Chat has a boner for it though. I don't really know why. Jee doesn't do it and Steel frowns upon it most of the time. But some of these dudes suggest chainsaw within 5min of a "problem" presenting itself.

This is the one thing I'll disagree with jee on. Not that I don't respect the mindset, but I don't think it makes you as shameless as them.
If you're going to abuse every mechanic possible, I say it's fair game. Not everyone wants to rise up to the challenge of facing an impossible gank and play by their rules. Not everyone cares about trying to display skill in a scenario where you're predetermined to lose because your opponents are basically cheating.
Again, I respect the mindset. Imo though, if you exploit, you get exploited.

Those guys at the beach are still at it constantly. Ran into them a few times the other day. Every time I would spawn there they would always rebuff too. Gankers just really have too much time on their hands.
My favorite spot to invade! where all brave just PvE enjoyers wait for some reason until an evil red man comes to bring justice to the lands between. I don't even know why you can invade at this spot, it is just not winnable against a proper 3-man-gank squad since it is a small open field. Also, you better watch out not to get exposed like this again G9, they clearly out-skilled you! 3 vs 1 means they were 3 times better (ganker logic, the fact that some people really upload a 3 vs 1 and call it "out skilled" is damn crazy)
Loved when you told chat off about the Chainsaw, see it so many times these days where invaders start chainsawing just about anything for no reason. Hope the future patches actually remove it for real this time

Physick flask change would have trivialized this I think, poise physick and non-physical absorption one, just nuke the ps halberd player while the other two heal you. Now it's a 2v1, much .ore manageable.

Dedication is Key. Its these endless agonizing invasion sessions starting in Dark Souls 1 that helped forged me into who I am today ( I still suck ass, I just don't get THAT upset anymore )

I've always thought so since the beta of this game but the lock distance is indecent.this possibility for magicians to hide behind excessive magic spam.
I think they increased the lock distance because of the level design which is much larger compared to souls. They also increased it to make the game simpler too

I admire Jee's dedication. devs at fromsoft should understand that their game is so one-sided to the host that what really carries the activity for invasions is the sheer dedication of invaders to deal with this BS, many throw down the towel and go back to dark souls 3, i for sure would not have invaded these shameless players more than twice.
They understand perfectly, its by design. Can't risk losing the casual audience now that their games are huge money makers. Invaders not being cartoonishly disadvantaged would scare away all those Reddit sales.

You would be surprised. The same kind of people who do this, are the same kind of people who are STILL ganking 24/7 at Pontiff's area in DS3, despite how dead the game has gotten there. And a lot of those kinds of people display obsessive behavior, and a disproportionately high number of them post exposed videos of them "trashing" invaders 3v1, as if it were something to be proud of. Some of them go even further as to make fake accounts of good players to make fake videos to drum up clout.
Been the same since DeS / Ds1, its honestly probably some symbiotic shit of them getting pissed off by shitass invaders or twinks and then turning to this as some kind of "revenge".

Getting summoned as Spear of the Church in DS3 was way more fun than having to jump into Arena or invading in ER and having to deal with spell and incantation spammers. It's not even that they are hard to deal with, it's just boring. DS3 combat was mostly melee and that's what made it better.
The thing about gankers that always perplexes me is they're not playing for fun. A 3v1 isn't that fun. They're just playing to piss other people off. How sad it is to waste their time.

Rather than recreating vow of silence from should implement the sacred order heal glitch into a spell. This would allow gankers to spam their spells without damaging the invader, but still forces the invader to roll or be rstaggered

I died several times to a Sleep-build Lag-switcher and took every loss. He would lag-switch even if I damaged him. He couldn’t handle me damaging him, let alone a single loss.
I kept on playing even after all that bullshit (even had a wholesome moment with a chill Host and Phantom in that same place u died in the video lol), meanwhile he’s one loss away from having a mental breakdown.
I won the mental-game in the end. Even if I didn’t get my revenge, I played long enough to see yet another asshole get BODIED by a chad-ultra GS player in a 2v2. It was glorious.
He DC’d even if we didn’t gank in a 2v2. karma is such an attractive bitch lol 😂

I've been through this so many times. Shitters magic spam then hate message you and I've learned to run barrier of gold, erdtree great shield, and golden vow along with multiple forms of regen and the magic defense talisman with the pearl drake talisman both +2. Still tho with an area like this I'd keep going in this war of attrition until they become tired thats the only real win you can get from this torture until fromsoft nerfs most if not all forms of magic and ranged projectiles into the ground or atleast gives them severely diminishing returns after like 40 or 50.

This is why erdtree greatshield is always one of the best counter for mages, it makes the mages stop spamming spells. The golden retaliation also deals a massive amount of damage too.

Agreed...I understand people were worried about mage builds being "useless" or getting "shutdown" but this video right here is the prime example of why it shouldn't have been nerfed. I can only understand a nerf to BoG if magic damage in its entirety got nerfed. I'll even say the same for physical damage.

Nothing should do this much damage in pvp. We saw a swift glintstone shard take like ⅙ or 1/7th of your hp, which is insane since Swift glintstone Shard is like one of the faster (if not the fastest) sorcery in the game.
Honestly, they should just remove these types of areas from the invasion areas cause there is basically no coverage to actually run and get a safe heal off or block spells. This or either they should add a bit of cover
