The city of Sarlat is located in southwestern France within the Dordogne region and was named by this name for the presence of the great Dordogne River and is considered one of the most important and best extensions of the Middle Ages. It was established in the ninth century AD and after its destruction in the First and Second World Wars it was restored as it was in 1962-1964 and it is completely protected by the Organization UNESCO World Heritage Site. There are many beautiful villages, castles and stunning landscapes. Its area is about 47.13 km2 and its population is approximately 9,300. From May to September it is crowded with tourists and visited by about 2 million visitors annually.
