If everyone had the same hp they would win due to having the lightest car. viper weighs like a 1000 pounds less then those challangers
not without a better driver. hell they wouldve lost the races they did win if it wasnt for the other guys missing gears.
@@everrybody true, but everyone had the same opportunity to do a swap. In my opinion, the guys at Throtl chose a better platform.
@@KableTac I think ultimately any race comes down to the driver. If Westin had missed a shift, Ricky would’ve taken it even with Westin’s car having 500 more hp. Or if Ricky could launch harder/better he could’ve won. But these guys are car influencers that build cool stuff on UA-cam, not professional no prep racers so it really doesn’t matter because they’re all around the same skill level give or take.
Is it possible to put a demon motor in the viper anyone?
The amount of excitement, and all the camaraderie and support between all of the competitors was really amazing to watch here. Big grin on my face watching this one, some of the best content I've seen in a while! Killing it you guys!

I think this is a really good example of how different a challenger chassis is vs any other chassis, nobody says a hellcat engine is slow it’s the chassis that the engine is put in. Westen’s 1500hp challenger only but a car length on a 850hp hellcat powered viper, that’s a huge power difference for how little of a gap there was at the finish line
Last year the challenger won but it had a extreme drag setup.

Edit: just did a UA-cam search and there are a few LS swapped 3000GT (which is the same car) just like the Eagle Talon was just an Eclipse.

@@r4venheart80 Neon is way too much work. Not only is there not enough room it’s also a FWD car and a whole tunnel for drive train would have to be fabricated. They would have to build a whole chassis and put the neon body on top. Dodge Stealth would be the same process as the Viper , front tube chassis and upgrade rear axle .

Huge fan of the Viper and to see the crew drop a Hellcat-Redeye engine in it was a pretty interesting idea. Staying true to Throtl form, they pulled it off and did it in style; always a clean build. So happy for Ricky dialing it in with little seat time in the car. Well done guys! Long live the mongoose!

The weight of that Viper was already an advantage and I love that about it. Ricky you handled that beast well. I have a BMW E65 745I that I would love to swap and spice up being that the factory specs and modules won't let it happen. Thank you for further encouraging me to pursue that dream and hopefully we will meet in the future.
