Two of the romance novels written by Joan Wilder in Romancing the Stone were "The Savage Secret", "Love's Wicked Kiss". I think the novel Sarah was reading Love’s Savage Secretary might be an homage to that older movie.

Best Karl Urban roles: Dredd, The Boys, Thor Ragnarok, Almost Human (short lived scifi cop tv show), and although the Star Trek reboot movies weren't the best, he was an awesome Leonard "Bones" McCoy.

Neat fact, the breaking the wall to bypass the lock is a little known reference to the Merkers Salt Mine. Mary Louise Parkers best work actually is on TV. She was the main character of the long running HBO show Weeds. Her character is a widowed suburban house wife who turns to selling drugs to support her family. Its an alternately hilarious and tense look at the weirdness behind the facade of suburbia. She was absolutely brilliant in the role. Her other important film roles were in Fried Green Tomatoes and Boys on The Side. She was amazing in those films. Another one is Bullets Over Broadway where she shines throughout the movie, although i dont know how you would feel about reviewing a Woody Allen film. But i think its not only one of his best films but her performance is truly spectacular.

He meets a plain-looking woman at a dance and they like each other, despite their self-consciousness. It's super sweet.

Carl Urban was in Lord of the Rings The Two Towers and Return of the King as the leader of the Rohim , the horse soldiers, also played the Russian assassin in the second Bourne Movie
The movie is loosely based off of a DC limited release comic series about retired ex spys. Mary Louise Parker who plays the love interest was most known for the HBO series Weeds where she plays a widowed suburban house wife who turns to selling drugs to support herself. It's a hilarious and sardonic examination of suburbia and the strangeness that lurks behind a veil of normalcy. The movie is very well done and superbly acted.
@KristineMaitland Dude's been in the Star Trek, Lord of the Rings, AND MCU series - he's even played a stormtrooper in Star Wars! If I was a actor, I'd definitely want his agent.
2:39 You ladies are the first, that I've come across so far, that seem to collectively agree that what he is doing is adorable and acceptable. A lot of other women have stated that what he is doing is creepy and stalker-like behaviour.
I love Karl Urban and my favorite movies with him is Lord of the Rings but one thing many forget that he is Julius Caesar in Hercules and Xena TV shows from the 90s and did a really good job. Other than that he was great in Dredd and Star Trek. He had a small role in Bourne Supremacy as well
RED 2 is at least as much fun. You so need to react to that one too. Love this reaction. These movies are criminally underrated. Also, another underrated excellent film is V is for Vendetta. If you haven't reacted to it or watched it yet, you're truly missing out.

Karl Urban really shines at Butcher in The Boys. As he would say, his character in The Boys is "Absolutely diabolical!" Fantastic twisty show. Recommend.
Okay. My wife reminded me that I am extremely desensitized. Be warned. Both Dredd and the Boys are somewhat violent. There is also some content that some find very funny (me) and others find horrific or offensive (her).
Late comment. RED as an limited series (3 issues) debuted 20 years ago by Wildstorm, imprint of DC Comics. The first film was great. Very few had known of it to be based on something from DC. But it was the stsr-studded cast that brought out the masses. Very well written and directed in way that didn't feel like a comic-book. Still it was entertaining This was the final film for the late, great Ernest Borgnine (Henry). Part 2 was great too. Part 3 was announced, 10 years ago and sadly will never happen. "The Losers", based on DC's Vertigo series came out the same year as RED, months earlier. You should definitely check out that one.
RED 2 is just as good and in some ways better. It has some of this cast and several new characters you will know. It's definitely worth your time to react to. Good job on this one. Thanks. I have been waiting for months for someone to finally react to RED.
Great cast, great characters, and more importantly, great characters that fit together properly. This movie was such fun to watch. I hope that in the near future you ladies do a reaction to Mortal Kombat version 1996. Also, on a personal note, as a professional fighter, would it be OK if I give you all a shout out at events after matches if I'm interviewed? All of you are in my opinion awesome and deserve recognition.
Cool collaboration! That's a cool looking cat. I like the colors. Yeah Red is a DC property comic. Karl Urban is great in everything he's in. He was also in The Chronicles of Riddick. I really liked his Dredd and he was great in this movie and LOTR. I look forward to seeing him play Johnny Cage!😃
Oh, is that why he's listed in the MCU? He also played in Almost Human (2013-2014) for 13 episodes. Fox has a terrible habit of canceling SF shows. Anyway, he doesn't trust "sythetics" as one let his last partner die. In fact he was in a coma for 16 months, and found out he had received synthetic implants to save his life. As the series starts he's assigned a synthetic partner, and the fun begins.
@@Caseytify Yeah he was in the MCU forget the character but he did a good job in the one movie he was in. Yep Almost Human he was good in that series too. He was even in Xena way back.

I first remember Urban as Cupid in "Hercules: The Legendary Journeys" and "Xena: Warrior Princess"
He also played Caesar in Xena. Totally frightening.
@KristineMaitland Dude's been in the Star Trek, Lord of the Rings, AND MCU series - he's even played a stormtrooper in Star Wars! If I was a actor, I'd definitely want his agent.
Such an underrated film. Red2 is excellent as well. ❤
Bad guy taped to chair in house is Richard Dreyfus. Big name actor.
2:39 You ladies are the first, that I've come across so far, that seem to collectively agree that what he is doing is adorable and acceptable. A lot of other women have stated that what he is doing is creepy and stalker-like behaviour.
When going old school is the only way to go.
By far, Karl Urban's best role is Butcher in "The Boys". His foul-mouthed rants are fantastic.
This movie is top-heavy with the most major movie stars American British Australian Canadian you name it they're in here.
Thanks for watching with us! We do have V for Vendetta on our list. We'll see about Red 2, based on how well this video does in the long term and whether our Patrons choose it.
Nice!!! Great movie, cant wait! 😂🤣😂
Karl Urban was as close to perfect as possible playing Leonard McCoy. His other great role to me is in The Boys.
Our Patrons have voted for Hannah and Toy to start watching The Boys, so they will soon witness Karl Urban stealing the show there.
Just started watching/subbed Verowaks channel the last couple of weeks and as I'm new to your channel, technically still watching your Back to Future as of a few minutes ago, but clicked the thumb with Verowak, so i'll be checking out this collab later. Also, subbed 🥰
Thanks for joining both channels! We're glad to have you as part of the family. 😸
Favorite Karl Urban role, on Xena Warrior Princess, he played Cupid and Caesar
No way! He must've been so young in those roles.
@@RuntotheMovies Yes he was very young when he was on Xena
THIS is my favorite Carl Urban movie.
Best Karl Urban role is the one he plays in The Chronicles of Riddick. Him & Thandie Newton play a glam ladder climbing couple.
Essence of this video: "Oh my goodness", "Oh my gosh", "I know, right"
Marvin Boggs is one of the best characters in the RED movie franchise.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Karl Urban really shines at Butcher in The Boys. As he would say, his character in The Boys is "Absolutely diabolical!" Fantastic twisty show. Recommend.
Our Patrons have voted for Hannah and Toy to watch The Boys once they're done with Firefly. 😸
Best roles for Karl Urban... Dredd. Easy one to watch. So fun. Brutal.
As Black Hat in Priest which stars Paul Bettany who plays the titular Priest and Jarvis/Vision in Marvel
Dredd is my favorite movie, but the Boys is one my favorite shows ever. Karl Urban is in both.
Okay. My wife reminded me that I am extremely desensitized. Be warned. Both Dredd and the Boys are somewhat violent. There is also some content that some find very funny (me) and others find horrific or offensive (her).
I love this movie, it looks like another star-filled movie and nothing more but it is actually super FUN .....
Karl Urban was fantastic as Bones in the Star Trek redux movies and the Russian assassin in The Bourne Supremacy!
Still it was entertaining
This was the final film for the late, great Ernest Borgnine (Henry).
Part 2 was great too.
Part 3 was announced, 10 years ago and sadly will never happen.
"The Losers", based on DC's Vertigo series came out the same year as RED, months earlier.
You should definitely check out that one.
Thanks for these tidbits!
Karl Urban is Bones in the Star Trek reboot movies and he does a bang-up job...but I think this is my favorite role from him.
the 'records keeper' is the great Ernest Borgnine - a hollywood tough guy in his prime...
Yes. Sadly he passed 2 years after he did RED but was working right up until he died.
Fantastic movie. It didn’t get a fraction of the advertising it should have. Such a brilliant action comedy.
RED 2 is just as good and in some ways better. It has some of this cast and several new characters you will know. It's definitely worth your time to react to. Good job on this one. Thanks. I have been waiting for months for someone to finally react to RED.
So glad you enjoyed this video! Red 2 may come later, depending on how this video does in the long term and what our Patreon folks decide.
@MyBuggalugga you bet, and again, you're all awesome!
the "oh my god, GAS!" scene kills me everytime LMAO!!
Fav movie of Karl Urban is actually Doom. No one ever mentions that show 😤
I really like Karl Urban in Dredd, also it's just a great movie.
Sad that Urban hasn't gotten his wish to do sequels to Dredd.
@@christopherplummer1299 Right? Though given the current political environment I can do without morons who've missed the point of the character screaming about how Karl Urban is a fascist.
Oh yeah I’ve seen this movie too so funny very comical and action packed.
Urban's DREDD is a lot of fun.
Another great violent funhouse is Mel Gibson's "Boss Level" 2020
What CIA doesn’t scream winner to her? LOL! 😂
😹
You have to do Red 2 now. And my God Hannah is so pretty.
TBH, i knew verowak first.... but you got my subscribe for the support ;)
We ❤️ Verowak. Welcome to our family.
@@RuntotheMovies Thx .. i like you gals .. as far as i'm allowed to w/o becoming a (gen-x) creep... ;)
This is a fun action movie right here, you guys would probably like the second movie. And The man from uncle as well.
love it,same as the 2nd part..so funny,great reaction.
Best Carl Urban movie is “Chronicles of Riddick”, starring Vin Deisel. Urban’s wife in the movie is Thandie Newton.
they made also RED2 later!
The records keep is Earnest Borgnine big star as well
Such a great movie, the sequel is pretty good too.
You might better know Ernest Borgnine as the voice of Mermaid man on SpongeBob!
wish we would have got 3 of these gems instead of 2.
Be wary of the old man in a profession where men die young.....
Retired extremely dangerous has a real meaning....lol
Great reaction ladies.....
"I loved the pig." lol
Karl Urban has a very underrated movie called Pathfinder you girls might want to check out also you girls should check out even though Karl Urban isn't in it but Bruce Willis and Morgan Freeman are is the movie Lucky Number Slevin
Pathfinder is my favorite Karl Urban movie.
