Hey everyone! This video is quite a bit different to what we normally produce and so we'd love to hear your thoughts on this sort of content and if you would like to see more just like it!
G'day everyone, Choice here. I just wanted to say thank you for the positive comments. Only bullying I've received so far is for how I pronounced "Maw of Souls" - which is fair enough. It's been fun seeing people suggest their own dungeons - we didn't even need to use engage bait or a call to action. The list I went was about being interesting to discuss over personal preference. I would love to do Pit of Saron again, but that's for obvious reasons - it's a good dungeon that I like. There isn't anything particular compelling about it that demands it be made into a key. That's true of a lot of excellent dungeons. Ultimately, it was a lot more fun to highlight dungeons that would make good capital-K Keystones. Routing Ahn'kahet would be like cocaine for MDI players - and that was really cool to pick up on. A few people have suggested turning some raid content into 5-mans. While that's definitely a risky idea, I would kill to see Blizzard try it. Either segments of raids, or just straight up do it like the WoW anniversary raid thing, where Chromie just teleports players through a gauntlet of bosses. 5-man Siegecrafter Blackfuse would just be something else entirely man.
im with you on this one ! i didnt had to chance to aquire the original back in TBC but im sure the snowflakes would foam out of their mouths if that happen !
Steamvaut is a pretty GOAT pull. I think there is a lot of potential in some of the older, less linear dungeons. I also was never a huge high key pusher, so I would love to see King's Rest again.
I loved king's rest. It was just too hard compared to other keys at the same level. Most of the Bfa dungeons were awesome. Just the rogue requirement was a bit annoying (tol dagor ie.)
i would love if they brought some old dungeons (Old Deadmines, Stratholme, Scholomance) as megadungeons with updated difficulty and mechanics. Also i wouldn't mind Pit of Saron or Utgarde Keep as m+
Great Video. I also hope they go back and rework a lot of the very old dungeons into M+. Personally I would like to see Zul'Farrak. That part at the top of the pyramid blew me away back in the day (your party is at the top and holding out against a seemingly endless swarm of mobs fighting their way up). It is also very open-ended which lends itself to multiple routing strategies.
Great video! A little jarring at first because it was so different but honestly, this video felt more real, down to earth and human. I thought you were great on camera, felt authentic and were entertaining. Also the ideas were cool too!
Good video, and I would like to see more similar videos. I had to stop and wonder, where did you get the list of dungeons you were showing during the video? Has Blizzard stated what the line-up will be during S1 of The War Within? I really would rather not see any of the Shadowlands dungeons during S1, maybe 1 or 2 during S2 or S3. I think bringing back Eye of Azshara would be a bad idea, since it is a Timewalking dungeon. I would like to see variety. Maw of Souls would be awesome, and although I was not happy with King's Rest it would make for a good mythic+ dungeon in future seasons. I see someone below mention Deadmines. That would be a fun mythic+! Please do additional dungeons like this. I would love to hear your thoughts concerning other older dungeons. Which ones would work, and which ones wouldn't work as a mythic+.
Hey mate, cheers for the kind words. The list I showed at the beginning entirely pulled from speculation. I plugged in SL dungeons under the idea that there would essentially 'become eligible' once there's an extra expansion's breathing room. Sorta similar to how they handle timewalking. But those rules are entirely made up, we have no reason to expect any particular dungeon in TWW's M+ pool. That's kind of why I chose to break away from "likely" dungeons and talk about "interesting" dungeons. Deadmines could be a very fun key. I have fond memories of early Cataclysm when Heroic Deadmines was brutal. I don't know if it compresses down to a ~35 minute key - but I'd be first in line on the PTR to give it a whirl.
My list of dungeons for M+ assuming they revamp them, make the difficulty actually manageable and fun, with the current set of affixes would be: New dungeon list-Mogu'shan Palace/Zul'Farrak/Scarlet Halls/Scarlet Monastery/Gnomergan/Deadmines/Zul'Aman/Zul'Gurub/Wailing Caverns/Stratholme/Scholomance/Halls of Lightning Brought back from previous seasons-Eye of Azshara/Maw of Souls/King's Rest/The Motherlode
It was refreshing for me as a long time Audience.. maybe do a monthly vid in this format but keep going with the usual format. On a side note; If I were to choose one of the formats i'd go with the usual.
Heres another idea reuse old raids and split them into parts. Say season 2 of WW we get Upper and Lower Castle Nathria. You rework some bosses to make sense for 5 man and 1 tank 1 healer, add/remove some trash, maybe cut a boss, cut Kelthas for example. Imagine Denathrius as a 5 man boss, could cut phase 3 out of the fight and keep it to 2 phases and rework it for 5 ppl. Could work
What about putting BRS back together as one dungeon and doing an overhaul to make it slightly less maze like? Or perhaps that would be a better idea for a mega dungeon? Thoughts?
My thoughts? If we're bring LBRS back - we gotta commit to the bit. No streamlining. If we occasionally lose a hunter in the labyrinth, that's the price we pay for quality. I love LBRS and I think it would be a prime candidate for a Return to Karazhan style mega-dungeon remake. And there'd be no reason that entirely hypothetical dungeon couldn't work as a pair of keystones like every other mega. I go that route because a few of the LBRS boss fights just straight up do nothing. Omokk does a tank knock back and enrages, the wolves just have a few different tank hits. You're basically needing to give these fights a new identity, so you might as well do the job properly and make it a flashier upgrade like Return to Karazhan.
In one of my recent talks about possible returning dungeons with my folks, I brought up King’s rest. I’d adore the idea, the feeling and indepth of that dungeon was really appealing besides being overtuned and almost impossible to pug it back then.
Banger video tbh, do you think there are any 3-4 boss segments from old Raids that could be retrofitted into an M+ format? Might solve the issue you mentioned of old dungeon bosses having no mechanics I'm 100% in favor of bringing back old content, wow is a massive game and it's a shame that in retail we only play maybe 5% of it
Retrofitting raids into M+ is a really cool idea. It would definitely risk feeling janky, a bit like a ROM Hack - but I can think of plenty of great raid encounters being able to scale down to 5 players. Fuck me, Mythic Siegecrafter Blackfuse with 5 players - that'll put hair on your chest.
I enjoyed the video. It was nice light content on prospective stuff. I will say that I disagree somewhat on Steamvaults. I do agree that it's an ok dungeon to redo, but I feel like Ramparts and Mechannar are both better options. Especially for relatively fast 25 minute or so timer dungeons. For a LK dungeon with some fight remakes both spider dungeons aren't too bad at all, but I think Pit of Saron - as overplayed as it is - has the most potential as an M+ dungeon. You can mount, you can set up weird pulls, you can do some interesting routes to get the trash count you need. There could be some wild warlock-gate-skip techs. It just shines well.
Arcway! We need Arcway again, a open multi route dungeon, great theme, great bosses, lethal elites and requires only a little tweeking for it to be ready for any M+ season. And most importantly.. I WANT THE TERRORBOUND NEXUS TRINKET ON MY MELEE' DPS again xD Im also a Kings Rest enthousiast, one of the best dungeons ever
Timewalking needs big love in TWW. Especially Raids. Insane the last one added was Firelands in 8.2.5 (2019)... Like right now its WoD TW but only 5/8 dungeons and 0/3 raids are playable...
I wouldn’t mind seeing some SL dungeons again. The xpac might have been garbage but I did enjoy the dungeons. The slimes in Plaguefall before the first boss on a bolstering week always ended in laughter!
Imo it would be great if they added some dungeons that never had a CM or M+ mode ! hell i would love to see classic dungeon as M+ ! imagine if you had dungeons like razorfen downs ! (And no im not a classic wow player i didnt want to touch it x) when they re-release it )
@@plasmahvh not much difference between Throne of the Tides from Cata to WOTLK dungeons in how much they hold up. Its just about the aesthetics at that point. The art is the biggest hurdle you can add a few abilities and redesign bosses easily
I wish since m+ some wotlk and bc dungeons and they saw it's good but need a rework like the cata ones. And now with the world soul saga they said we go back to northend, quel'thalas and nerubians... there is no better time for wotlk and bc dungeons ❤
Don't the players who don't want dungeons to be updated have Classic, to bask in that good ol' static feeling of nostalgia? I would love to see old dungeons to be reworked. Even the ones that seem like they can't be used in M+, like idk Razorfen Kraul or Shadow Labyrinth. Just update them, put a twist on them while updating them to the current lore. We are not in 2004 or 2008 anymore. Maybe those piggies have dug a new tunnel and a newly formed shadow council is again up to no good after Sargeras has been sucked into a space ship by the Titans.
Older content should be refreshed or remade, but blizzard should just make new dungeons. New dungeons don't need to follow the theme of the expansions, who wouldn't want a dungeon of murloks. Lol.
we DONT NEED anything old blizzard has a bad habit of rewashing content and giving it back for the same price as new stuff we need all new places and races not more dwarfs either.
remake the old dungeons for a new experience. steam vaults. but also revamp the old and keep some of them that way, ie scholomance. a big strathome. etc. they could scale them to current dungeons and be relevent. bc dungeons and the entire expansion sucked. i hated leveling in it. and 90% of it.
no more butchering old dungeons with remakes please. They ruined the last 2. I was excited to see cata dungeons as they were, not the garbage remakes we got which ruined the integrity of the dungeons.
Hey everyone! This video is quite a bit different to what we normally produce and so we'd love to hear your thoughts on this sort of content and if you would like to see more just like it!
love it! we just want more content from yall no matter what format
Always loved Nathan's content and humour.
I want more of this on top of the regular content
This is great content, and an awesome presenter! Would love to see more!

You pronounce Maw of Souls just fine, i see no issue with it.
I think a ZA bear run would be a sick key, 4 bosses any order you want and fast paced.
I agree, I was looking at ZA and craving it, but I was too cowardly to put it on the list.
im with you on this one ! i didnt had to chance to aquire the original back in TBC but im sure the snowflakes would foam out of their mouths if that happen !
Love these new style of videos, and Choice is perfect for them!
I think your team brings a unique voice to the wow space. This new direction is amazing.

I disliked it because of the damn sword Get’ikku 😅 my bestie is a warrior so we kept running it for him
i would love if they brought some old dungeons (Old Deadmines, Stratholme, Scholomance) as megadungeons with updated difficulty and mechanics.

Maw of Souls was not farmed for AP, it was farmed for Legendaries and the "bad luck protection" system if anything.
The most competitive raiding guilds definitely farmed Maw of Souls for the flat 5% damage boost you got around the time of Trial of Valor.
LETS GO CHOICE_AU!!
Now I am all in on Anh'kahet as a m+ because damn, that dungeon really is some mild updates from being a banger.
I've been saying to my friends for a while about shattered halls, but i totally missed the twitter talk about it what was the general talk about it?
Man. This video changed my look on life rather than my look on upcoming dungeons. Give this man his own podcast.
I love maw because if you do it right after the second boss your tank can haul ass and pull every single piece of trash before the last boss at once.
Honestly I would like to see any tbc or wotlk dungeons in the mythic plus rotation.
Why not some classic dungs as well..
It was refreshing for me as a long time Audience.. maybe do a monthly vid in this format but keep going with the usual format.

Cata was my favorite xpac for dungeons, one of the reasons I’m excited for Cata Classic. Favorite one to bring back would be Grim Batol
I would love to see The Steamvault as a m+ dungeon. Nostalgic!
Great video. I hope your cat feels better!

Wake up honey, Skill Capped just posted a new heater
It was pretty cool make more stuff like this, it is very comfy, sometimes it is nice to get some fluff content that is just fun

Like the ideas, i would love a stealth rework of mechagon. It was a great themed dungeon
Why is Drak'Tharon Keep never mentioned? Fantastic in my opinion.
This is the kind of "theory crafting" i like contemplating.
Dope content. Keep it up.
Please make more videos like this.
I want some of the Wrath of the Litch King dungeons back.
Utgarde please.
wotlk is insanely outdated. those dungeons would have to go through whole redesigns to be playable in retail
No “t” in “Lich.”
@@plasmahvh not much difference between Throne of the Tides from Cata to WOTLK dungeons in how much they hold up.
Its just about the aesthetics at that point. The art is the biggest hurdle you can add a few abilities and redesign bosses easily
This video es gold dude! Keep it up!
I wonder if tanks can skip their hero talents and still be viable. as a blood dk main im thinking of skipping my hero talents.

Interesting video!
Halls of Lightning would be a banger M+ dungeon and will die on this hill.
all 3 in ICC would be awesome
Welcome to the deadmines! Mystery in the deadmines! now you here in m+ grind!
Thats my favorit :D
Loved the different video.
LOVED it! Thank you
I’m hoping for SM
Good video liked it a lot thanks
Great vid!
Nice video.
Nice Video ! ..am just tell em'' , make bosses like in old Lich King !! + New diff in M+ ...not 1 but all 4 ... Should be hard hahahaha ! Cheers
We need mythic+ sfk or deadmines
This was great, first video I've watched from the channel but I loved the take. Keep cooking!
Throne of the tide and Kings rest!!
Moer of Souls?
Oh, ***don't*** bully you. That makes more sense
I loved this video.
This was the best wow video I've seen in a while.
Good job, Goofy jokes are fine, keep this stuff up!
Make Deadmines great again!
He said nothing wrong with his but puts four shadowlands dungeons on there. Lol
pleas just bring new dungeons in a new addon do it like back in legion and so much peapol are happy

BRD Full Run or RIOT.
but in all honesty, i think Sunken Temple can make a great key.
Too low content output on dungeons and pvp ..
Please, no 5 boss dungeons... and no 5+ boss fights.
Its just BAD
Nah to most of those dungeons
