Very informative Special, thank you! I've been trying to explore specific storylines in Indiana history and this was a great starting place, especially the story of Polly Strong.
Wow! for those complaining about one thing or another from your cozy homes and the most unchallenged lives in history, you're those people vacationing in another country complaining ''everything is so different here''
Not to rain on the parade, Also a home of the KKK and Jim Jones. It’s weird that the state name itself is a kind colonial-age black face since Indians is not the accepted term.
What they don't teach you also is that the king of Africa is who caught his own ppl and put them in a boat and came to sale them and ask for help to get more he sold them to a lot of countries. And now black ppl r flurishing at the most. In my opinion they r the most beautiful part of America they are the back bone and the fancy of America.
@@davidmarquez2555 yeah right, so frustrating when people act like africa is one big single country/kingdom, when it’s a combination of hundreds, or was.
lol yeah King Jaffe Joffer, Akeem's father and King of Zamunda but he wasn't born yet but yes Africans captured other Africans and sold them into slavery
No. That’s not what happened. There were various ethnicities in west Africa. Those groups (tribes) would capture prisoners of war. They’d be then enslaved HOWEVER, the point you’re not getting is the American chattel slavery was a barbarically insidious version. The POWs were not treated like property or less than human. They were not forever enslaved and they were not breeded, raped, tittered to keep them in line. This IS taught. You didn’t learn it.
@@JT0007 dang man you're a landlord? I'm just some poor guy who has cheap rent I pay only $920 for a huge two bedroom granted it's not in the best area in Indianapolis but it's beautiful and I love where I live

Very true but they won't change it
Indiana means “land of the Indiana’s”. Which was true, although it’s ironic now considering there isn’t even a designated reservation
This was very special. Although I am not from Indiana originally, as a resident Hoosier, this made me smile.

Omg what happened ;-; i hate wars!
Hitler didn't kill himself. The leaders of the American South during slavery didn't kill themselves. Someone had to do it. 👍

lol there was no king of Africa, Africa was made of many groups with their own Kings or rulers...

Lol you dont have to try to justify slavery . We know what happened. But thanks for the compliment😅

Indiana has the best rental homes in 🇺🇸
I can confirm that. I hope the rest of the country doesn't figure out how good it is here
