  • With a little help, these Japanese A5 Wagyu nigiri's were absolutely amazing.
    INGREDIENTS:
    400g sushi rice
    360g water (390 if you wanna be safer about burning)
    1/3 cup + 1 1/2 tbsp unseasoned rice vinegar
    1 1/2 tsp kosher salt
    2 tbsp white sugar

      @@sora3970 4k is only available when you system (pc/phone/laptop) is 4k. Also, UA-cam takes longer to process and show the 4k version so you may have been here too early.

      And when you finish cooking and have placed the food on the table don't forget to turn to your wife hit the table firmly with both hands and say even more firmly, "You know I love!" Its the last part of the recipe and sometimes people forget that last crucial ingredient...

    I just use rice cooker and for those who might think this is undercooked it’s Wagyu and is at such a high quality it should be fine but if you have health problems or are elderly/young/pregnant its not recomended

      Cooking sushi rice is different in that you have to wash it more to get rid of the starches
      So using a colander just makes sense to use to make it a little easier to drain

    I work at a VERY high end sushi restaurant. They make a5 grade 11 miyazaki wagyu nigiri that costs $12 for one piece. They sear the side of the beef that touches the rice, and add black truffle paste on the top. It is the best thing I've ever tasted.

    or you could by a rice cooker and wait 10 minuites for the rie to puff up because theres extra water after it was done cooking and wait 10 hours for it to cool off because it had to be kept on the keep warm

      You have to do this for Sushi. Uncle Roger is referencing cooking rice for Chinese cuisine.
