Love your videos, lost 120 pounds through gastric bypass, did a tummy tuck last year summer and still considering the tradeoff between the scare of the high lift or nothing at all (and spend my money on a 4 week nice long holiday with my 2 year savings). Hate my legs and difficult to swim, but want to look good in a skirt.
Hi Tana! Thanks so much for watching! Congratulations on your weight loss! We totally understand the skin/scar tradeoff with a thighlift, it is a long scar but it fades and can be a great tradeoff if that's what you decide to do. An epic vacation sounds amazing too and possibly a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity! Whatever you decide, it is the right answer for you, and you'll be happy either way!
I would’ve really loved some pics of good candidates and bad candidates (lymphoedema, lipodema altho I’m not sure if they’re good candidates or not, that person with a genetic defect that changes their collagen production..etc), same for the scars, and where the surgery anchors are You can still add those in the video it just takes some editing Also I love the showing with a Barbie concept hahaha
My surgeon told me it was the easiest of the skin removal surgeries I would ever have and it was! I was off pain meds on day 2 and back to driving day 3. Interesting how different people are with healing. I appreciate this information so much!
@@maxmalone2800 lol your adorable, but have you looked up the definition of invaluable😄, I’m guessing not, no worries, it means “valuable beyond estimation or priceless”, or “extremely useful”,,, so yes, I meant invaluable, hope that helps clarify😁
In a vertical thigh lift or called bi lateral thigh lift re scar one scar from inside groin to knee. Do you remove the great saphenous vein, as a surgeon told me it gets in the way and can die or dies
The best way to find out if your insurance will cover any skin removal surgery is to reach out directly to the customer service number on your card. They will be able to help you find an in-network provider and let you know if any skin removal surgeries are covered by your plan. If surgery is covered, your in-network surgeon will assist with prior authorization for surgery.
I spoke to a surgeon and he said that some times you can have problems with the labia is this something you have found as that the thing that is stopping me from going for the surgery :(
Hi Lisa, yes, there is a small risk of some changes to the appearance of the labia. We have not had this issue but we do make sure our patients are well-informed about the risk/possibility. Careful anchoring and incision placement greatly minimizes the risks. Have an open conversation with your surgeon to discuss your concerns and the steps he/she can take to make sure you have a great outcome.
Until you have two large sacs of nerves being squished between your legs don't complain about "man spreading". Also those are are a bit larger there have pain if they cross their legs.
Hi Jadenist, thanks for watching! We frequently combine thighlifts with additional surgeries. It's quite common to combine a thighlift with tummy tuck or breast lift.
Hi i want to ask please if you have vericose veins in the thigh area do you think there will be a problem if i want to make a thigh lift, thankyou for all your information
Hi Michelle! Thanks for watching! It will depend on the location and severity of your varicose veins. If they are mild and not located in the area(s) of incision, it will likely be okay. Your surgeon will be able to take a look and let you know for sure.
Anyway of getting an opinion from you guys if I am a good candidate? I have had two weight lost surgeries. And my legs have suffer with very elastic skin and I also scar very badly. P
Hi Gema! The best/only way for us to know if you are a candidate is by seeing you for a consultation. You can find out more about our practice and request a consultation at, jasonmartimd.com
I had a 360 body lift which improved my outer and even my inner thighs but didn’t take the skin and fat away. Would I need the cut so close to the groin? I’m hoping I could get just the vertical cut up the inner thigh without the groin cut. Is that ever possible?
Hi Joanie, thanks for watching! It may be possible but impossible to tell without an exam. We understand that the groin incision seems daunting but it is nearly impossible to see once it has healed. The reason we extend the incision into the groin is to prevent 'dogears' or excess skin from hanging down/over the end/top of the incision. Just like your bodylift incision needed to go all the way around your mid-section, your thighlift incision may need to go up/around the thigh.
Hi Venus Treat, thanks for watching! Some surgeons do ask their patients to shave preop. Likely just their person preference/comfort level and won't negatively impact your surgery or recovery. Happy healing!
Vaginal rejuvenation can be any combination of procedures that the patient needs and is a candidate for. Not all surgeons specialize in vaginal rejuvenation. I would recommend asking your OB/GYN for a recommendation to a board certified plastic surgeon near you.
Thank you for doing these podcasts.

Hello Doc
Inner thigh lift. I don't care about scar. Compared to my awful inner thighs
Hi Debbie, thanks for watching! Yes, for most people, a well hidden scar is totally worth it to get rid of excess skin and fat of the inner thighs.
