Great review...I'm thinking of buying this soundbar and it was really good to see inside and see how all the speakers were isolated....alot of people asking about the Denon s517 as they are the same soundbars but they are tuned differently,have different subwoofers and 1 extra HDMI for the Denon....over here in the UK the Denon is at least £50 quid more than the Polk s4....I have seen the Polk on sale at 218 which is a whopping £82 cheaper than the Denon.

Thank you for the review. Question for you; I just got this product and running for a few days. I notice that the intervals between volume selections are rather large, so big jumps between volume settings that don't allow me to find the desired volume. Is this something you've experienced? Or could it be a result of the way I may have the settings currently? Thanks for your input!
@@hxosplus Yeah, i saw the Denon DHT-S517 announcement yesterday and felt it was exactly same as the Polk Signa S4 with a slightly higher price (50 euros), so it would be great to compare both once the Denon is released at the end of January.

In searching on google on about the 11th page! I came across these videos from some Asian dudes, a bit of chat in their native tongue, but theyre also using standard Atmos demo videos in English for both soundbars. Video of S4 on first link, S517 on second link and then a side by side of both on 3rd link. In the side by side, with good headphones on, It feels like the Denon is a little bassier, and the Denon in the rain atmos demo sounds better, but the Polk in the baseball/shattering glass has a lot more audio definiton for me and picks up more. @@adamnorth8321 I found the same videos during my search too :) have them open in browser tabs but couldn't check them out yet. I am not sure how much we can find out using headphones but it's worth a try. I have Sony WH-1000XM3 headphones, will try out the videos soon and share my thoughts
Hi. Recently purchased this soundboard along with Samsung tv My only issue is when I turn on the TV the sound bar will turn on but no sound will come out Any help with this would be really appreciated thank you
@@hxosplus I did that already..it's pretty much set. Don't get me wrong the soundbar sounds amazing it works fine except when I do turn on the TV the soundbar does turn on but there's no sound I have to use the sound bar remote to turn off and turn back on in order for it to work although this does not happen all the time
@@hxosplus Before purchasing this sound bar I read some of the reviews on Amazon saying some people were having issues with this model being compatible with Samsung tvs. could that be the problem? My tv model is un65au800df thank you so much for your response
And I try to find this information, but no one mentions it - even authorized dealers respond that this information is not provided to them. I don't think it's a very powerful soundbar - maybe it's ideal for up to medium-sized rooms. I think it's a maximum of 200W!
@@physicscrushcrusj6695 Both are great soundbars. For cinematic experience get an AV Receiver (i.e. Denon 1700 and a set of speakers). But in this price range, the Polk is a decent one. Τhe JBL one has a better subwoofer.
Any review that doesn't give a decent soind demo is a epic fail. You literally only played it no more than 15 seconds. If you're going to review a "sound bar", then let us hear the sound. Obviously, most of viewers don't really care about the sound, because not one person asked for a demo. They just believe what some stranger says about it. Sorry, but thumbs down.

Have you tried to adjust the volume with your TV's remote?
@@hxosplus Thanks for responding, yes. Have it set up through ARC connection, using TV remote and jumps between volume selections/ increments are huge

Hi, check your TV's HDMI audio settings. Enable ARC
