I just bought one of these. I can't wait to try it out in my room. Thank you for showing us.
I am going to mention you in my video
How have you been finding it so far?
@@ntokozomtshali9439 gerat sound love it
Just got one of these for only 199.00 straight from Polk. It's much better than the JBL I had paid more for. Especially since the JBL only lasted one year and had constant problems.
Nice one... The HDMI included in package is eARC or only ARC? If is ARC, for ATMOS I need to buy eARC cable... Thanks
I believe it can support both.
Great review, but was distracted by your Atari setup. That's a nice setup. Did you build yourself?
I bought it at Micro Center. They don’t appear to sell them anymore.
How long is the power cable for the sound bar?
How do you say it compares to jbl multibeam?
Great video, how strong is the bass?
It's pretty good. See my full review for more details on bass. ua-cam.com/video/IlV9JtAyfQE/v-deo.html
It’s just OK not great. The dialogue through TV channels is very ordinary. Better units out there for the same price
@@danielsmart8398 oh really? Like which ones
@@danielsmart8398 like which one? I am considering this one, not sure about the Bose one
@@yusakufudo367 check the klipsch out. Their 2.1 on sale for $240 comes with a 8inch subwoofer too, and “wireless” too. heard some good reviews on it.
Polk Signa S4 vs JBL 500 5.1 with Mutibeam and Dolby Atmos ?
I just ordered this today. My wife is going to be pissed!
Trust me I know the feeling.
🤣🤣🤣 we all know that feeling m8
Hi what TV are you using? I see that it’s samsung? How is it? How’s the atmos compatibility? Thanks!
It’s a Samsung 8 series 82” tv. I reviewed it a long time ago. Atmos worked fine. No complaints.
I am considering getting the S4, but I am waiting for more extensive reviews
I hope it get the full review posted by next weekend. I typically upload on Sundays.
@@Upscaled_HT ok.
Not worth it mate. I set mine up and it under performed dismally. I boxed it back up and returned it
@@danielsmart8398 it sounded good to me. Of course my TV room is 20ft ft x 15. We are talking about the Polk S4, yes? What sound bar would you buy instead?
@@danielsmart8398 what didn't you like about it? It sounded airy, bright and well composed compared to magnifi series and JBL ?
I'm debating on this and the Denon S517. Any advice?
I would probably go with the denon but I haven’t heard or tested it.
@@Upscaled_HT I got the S4 already, but I have 14 days to test it out if it doesn't sound good I'll exchange it with the Denon.
Will the subwoofer connect automatically with the soundbar or do i have to do it manually
It connected automatically.
Hey, what about LED indicator? Will it shine all the time? Or can be dimmed?
Honestly, not sure about that.
@@Upscaled_HT thanks for reply, I was searching it for some time but no info in manual and nowhere, its really hard to contact polk service ;/
@@TheDostepnaNazwait shines all the time
This soundbar sounds good for $250 or under for a master bedroom. I wouldn’t pay a penny more at that point look for 2 channel towers and a budget receiver for a room larger.
All that an I didn’t demonstrate the sound… that’s what we’re here for 🤦🏽♀️
I have another video on this soundbar that has a demo. ua-cam.com/video/IlV9JtAyfQE/v-deo.htmlsi=8rB_ypWiNhMcV14r
Sandy Gross man, he made polk what it is.
Then deftech and GoldenEar
Talk about a run of success. I guess I’m a huge fan because I own all three brands.
You didnt tell how to pair the sub
I didn’t have to do anything. It just worked.
@@Upscaled_HT Thats easy. The S2 has a pairing button on he back
Has anybody tried the Polk Magnifi Max AX SR yet? I’m thinking about buying one of those or a Nakamichi. Nobody is reviewing the Magnifi Max AX anywhere on UA-cam.
Read a lot of negative reviews on and how it sound staticky so picked up this today from Best Buy.
@@MrDfromjersey the signa?
@@MrDfromjersey I bought the Max AX SR and it sounds great.
Absolute piece of crap, don’t buy it
I almost just pulled the trigger.... Why is it crap, and a suggestion for something in the 300-400 price range?
I cross checked some UA-cam reviews with live auditions and there is so much inconsistency. This signa s4 sounded so good compared to the more expensive magnifi Max and mini. It also sounded better than JBL 5.1. what didn't you like about it? It sounded airy, bright and well composed. I can only guess that maybe the bass unit was too small to your taste or maybe you were using in much larger room and didn't fill that space well? Please elaborate on an alternate product with a soundbar + sub that surpasses it? I've ruled out:
JBL: highs don't do it for me
Samsung: all their bar + sub combos use cheap paper drivers and 1" very small drivers. Quality control issues across range. Accolades are for their 4 piece sets that I'm not interested in
Vizio: the accolades are for their 5 piece sets that I'm not interested in
Polk magnifi series: sounded compressed and darker... I think from their smaller elliptical drivers than the signa s4
Klipsch fives: inconvenient to buy stands and maybe too sub heavy. Not enough eq control
Beam/arc: too expensive to add subwoofer where value to sound quality isn't there
Everyone ignore Daniel Smart. He's whining about this soundbar & makes no comments on why he thinks it sucks nor does he give better alternatives. Hey Daniel, you're a tool.
@@IThinkNowListenUp I love Polk to be honest. I have their signature s50 towers, and their s30 center. With two powered 10inch subs. Also rear speakers. Which are polk too. Running onkyo 5.2 av receiver. Sounds really good, love their quality. But I’m looking for soundbar for smaller room. I’ve thought about this one, but I’m also curious about the klipsch 2.1 400. Has 8 too. I like nice bass. But again I dunno lol cause Polk makes good shit. I have their s50 and their just 2drives, with 5n quarter driver, but let me tell you those mfkers HIT nice for their size it blows my mind. So I’m not sure. Polk can be unpredictable sometimes how good their sound can be. Even with 6inch sub.
@@Mc2Gamer360 I tried the Denon which is supposed to be the same Polk soundbar with more configured sound signatures. After audition, I decided against the Polk/Denon soundbar - the highs were too fatiguing and there was a lack in the power, rhythm instruments.... (snare drum and tom drums)
