I used to ride one of these in the late '90s to early 2000s. I had the white and red with blue stripe and the last year of the single-headlight design. Very good bike...the CBR is a bit more comfortable, but this one has the acceleration. Not a great wheelie bike, as you are lower down in more of a racing position. I got mine up to 143mph but this wasn't on a very straight road. lol. I put over 30,000 good miles on mine, and it was eventually stolen from the parking lot where I worked! Went back to a 250cc Ninja after that heartbreak. LOL Fizzers 4 life!
I used to have one of these way back, awesome bike! Not the fastest 600 in terms of top speed but went like a whippet on acid in terms of acceleration. Never had mine flat out, don't have the roads for it but could always get upto 120mph in third & often 140mph in fourth.
I’ve got a 94 4jh. Once got the speedo round to an indicated 140mph. The bike was still accelerating but I ran out of bottle. Fair play to you for keeping it pinned.
Thanks :)! It's in absolute mint condition. Bought it last year at a dealer who got it from the first owner. So that makes me the 2nd owner! Ran 26000 kms when I bought it, which is not much from a '95 bike. So this bike is a keeper ;)
I didn't reach the 260. Did reach the 250 on the tacho however when I wore my leather suit. Pretty much flat on the tank as well ;). Fitted with a BOS exhaust but I guess that I lost some horses throughout the years... Still runs like a charm however. Great bike!
Nice FZR man ! I live in Germany too and wonna bay the same 4jh ! They are amazing .. it's gonna be my firs motor by the way, and I'm so excited :)))) Maybe the begining of the next year I'm gonna buy it ! ( Sorry for my english)
Great bike, you won't regret it! It's still a sportsbike but you can ride it a bit more upright than an R6 or similar like that, which makes it a more comfortable bike for longer journeys! Good choice ;-)
csjpokey I have a 1997 FZR600R and I can't even reach 100mph! It makes a weird "PAP PAP PAP PAP" noise really fast when i'm at my highest gear and fully open throttle.
98 FizZzer here.....I hit 140 and called her quits...but I don't have the autobahn..Love the bike tho..Once I'm in 2nd rolling, The thing has some nasty power for a 6r
Rion Rich Did the same run once together with an R6. It's just a few kilometers faster on top speed, probably just 5 to 10 km/h... On the track, you can still outrun an R1 with this baby, if you have the skills ;-)
Edmilson Ramos The Thundercat is a little newer, but a fairly similar bike! Same chassis, engine and lots of other parts that are the same! Nice bike as well!

Had this bike sold it... got a 2011 Ninja 250R then got a 2001 Bandit 1200 Blew the engine then got a 2008 CBR600RR.
Bike life crazy af...
I've had my 97 fzr600 up to 155 mph on a downhill and 147 mph on a flat straightaway. All stock besides the r1 conversion fairings.
I’ve got a 94 4jh. Once got the speedo round to an indicated 140mph. The bike was still accelerating but I ran out of bottle. Fair play to you for keeping it pinned.
Gotta love the German Autobahn ;-)
I got my 4jh to 140 mph on the A1 in the UK but bottled it to push to the limit; got to say the downward force at that speed was very reasuring...
This is going to be my first bike! I'm trading a 99 Ford Explorer for a 98 600! Can't wait till next week!
My first bike too! And im trading my 2008 Mitsubishi Eclipse for it haha. Wow what a trip
It is nice to see a FZR 600 in such good condition it's getting rare spotting one of these! It looks and apparently rides great. I have subscribed :)

It’s my first bike too but it was my dads 20 years ago and it’s just been sitting so I fixed it up
I had one in the late 90's, I just changed the end can and had it reading 160mph one time.
I could reach 150 mph on the track in 1990, but It didn’t take me 4 miles of straight aways to achieve it!!
4:30
Let the fun begin. 🤘🏻

149mph not bad
csjpokey I have a 1997 FZR600R and I can't even reach 100mph! It makes a weird "PAP PAP PAP PAP" noise really fast when i'm at my highest gear and fully open throttle.
i would defiantly get that in and checked out. there is something wrong there. thats a sweet bike. get her fixed before the issue gets way worse
Gene O. That's weird. Does it have all the power in the other gears? You should definitely get that checked yeah!
+Gene O. rev limiter?
At 100 mph, meh, don't guess so... Maybe it's a FZR250 ;)
I traded my 98 cbr f3 for a 95 fzr street fighter both have decent power but I feel like Honda had a little more 👀
250 km / h ........awesome !
got a 92 fzr 600, needs new cdi box, then I to will be in the club.
+Cody Handegan great bike! Enjoy it!
I have a 91 fzr600 it ran good for a while after I bought it but then it just stopped turning over, is that the fault of a bad vid box?
FZR 600 250 kmh 600€ --- R6 265 kmh 1500€ -- r1 300 kmh 3000€
Franz Cat where??
R1 2000e
DON'T USE THE CLUTCH WHEN SHIFTING WITH FULL ENGINE LOAD! IT'S 100% UNNECESSARY WITH A SEQUENTIAL GEARBOX (and proper technique)!
98 FizZzer here.....I hit 140 and called her quits...but I don't have the autobahn..Love the bike tho..Once I'm in 2nd rolling, The thing has some nasty power for a 6r
That being said...I really wanna hop on the newer R6 raven tho! Just curious to see how far the new bikes have come.

HMMM...I hung with a Honda 954 (TORQUE MONSTER) through 4 gears...2nd gear is simply insane really. lol
Do you have R6 brakes on your Fizzer? If so... How did you mount the reservoir. Mine currently just hangs loose.
Still have the standard brakes, so I can't help you with that...
Is it stock, or are some mods added?
+Johnny Bravo it's stock! Except for another exhaust (only the can itself) and progressive front springs!
tenho uma dessa do mesmo ano aqui no Brasil aqui se chama Yzf 600 genesys thundercat, parabéns pelo vídeo vou postar um tambem
Edmilson Ramos

Can someone tell me if that master cylinder is stock on that bike.
Yes, everything you see here is stock ;-)!
Must be slight variations in european models to American models. My 90 has an enclosed metal reservoir
