Hi Mark - yes, thanks very much for the coffees - very kind of you and much appreciated. The bag is filled with rice. Still pretty heavy I have to say. The NP02 is a fine rifle. I'd say the trigger is not as good as the Airborne, and the side lever a little notchier, but still a fine rifle for the money. Its also a lot smaller and lighter of course.
Excellent review Richard!i have never owned a rifle with weaver style rail could you tell me what mounts and rings you are using on top of the ATA please!
Hi Terry. Thanks very much. To be honest, I'm not sure what they are. I tend to use Sportsmatch mounts though. I'd say a set of Sportsmatch 22mm picatinny medium mounts would do the trick. Thanks for watching.
Look's like a very, very good value rifle, and most importantly, accurate. Also if it were to tit's up you could use the stock as a giant bottle opener!
If this gun had a barrel band it would stabilize each shot to start stacking pellets. Only thing I hated about this gun was the constant reminder of what gun you had "ATA" with logos everywhere down to the checkering that said "ata arms ata arms ata arms ata arms ata arms ata arms ata arms ata arms ata arms ata arms..." etc...it was a little too much. Tell them to back off the over branding feature and I'd be there with money in hand to purchase this one.
Hi Liam. ATA Arms states the rifle will achieve 920 fps in .22. Although the company doesn't state the weight of the pellets used to achieve that figure, it would suggest power output of around 30 ft lbs is possible. Whether you can purchase one in the UK is a different matter. My best suggestion is to contact Sportsman Gun Centre, the official UK distributor, on 01392 354854, and ask them. If you do that, mention our name would you please :)
So I’ve just bought one, came filled with 175 bar. Did maybe 50-60 shots or so and filled it to 200 bar and it started venting its entire pressure out of the fill port. Google tells me it’s a common problem and a fair few people have had it repaired to do the same thing again. Anyone had this issue?
Sorry to hear that Harry. Did you buy it from a gun shop? If so, I'd suggest getting it back in to them. Its hard to say what the issue is without looking at the rifle, but it sounds as though the valve is sticking open. On occasion this can be address by filling the rifle when it is cocked (but not loaded with a pellet). But, as I say, if you're in any doubt get it into the shop you bought it from. Good luck.
@@airgunextra bought it through sportsman and they’re collecting tomorrow for repair. Went to the range to shoot it which was a wasted journey but met someone there that had the same issue too. He stripped his gun and showed me photos. A very poorly designed port with a makeshift looking plastic valve with no spring and sloppy tolerances that peel the o-ring off at higher pressure. Gutted but hope it gets sorted. The rest of the gun seems beautifully made.
@@hazza940 I'm sure SGC will sort you out Harry. Several members at my range have an Airborne and have not had an issue so hopefully you'll fine from here on in.
Recently found your channel and I must say I'm enjoying it greatly, just a quick question on the ata, shot count on the seller's Web site says around 95 shots, surly this can't be right, they must be talking about FAC, do you have any info for the sub 12 shot count please 👍🏻?
Hi Chris. Thanks very much. I'm glad you're enjoying it. Unfortunately I ran out of time when I did the review and I didn't get a chance to assess the shot count. I agree that 95 is for an FAC rifle. Despite the quality of the trigger and sidelever, I suspect the engineering of the hammer and valve isn't as good as more expensive rifles, so I'd expect there to be a of wasted air each shot. However, given the size of the bottle, I'd be surprised if it is less than 200 and probably a good many more. If I find out for sure I'll let you know. Thanks for watching.

That's very difficult as they are both regulated and very accurate. Do you prefer a sidelever or bolt cocking action? Much will come down to the rifle you like to look of and which feels better in your shoulder. I'm sorry that isn't much help, but there's very little between the two and its probably a case of letting your heart rule your head.
Sub 400uk for a regged buddy bottle sidelever pcp is one hell of a deal and the heavyweight stature is good for target shooter with a single shot loader. Better deal than the s400!
Based on the rifles I've reviewed for this channel, I'd have to say the ATA Airborne or Kral Puncher NP-03 depending on whether you want a rifle or tactical style. And both will leave you plenty of money for a decent scope and mounts. Thanks for watching.
You're right Craig. I'm going to start showing the chrono results. For what its worth, this rifle was between 550 and 560 fps with 16 pellets, so around 11 ft lbs. Thanks for watching.
@@airgunextra thank you for the response. I had a Webley raider pcp and had a few issues with it. Nothing wrong with the accuracy it was good in that respect. However I went back to my trusty springer for a while but the pcp guns are something else. I fancy a new one and this ATA Airborne looks very good for the price tag.
@@dirtyharry5957 Hi Harry. Yes, I'm afraid my experience of the Webley Raider hasn't been that good either. The Airborne is a great rifle for the money. The one thing I can't test is a rifle's longevity, which speaks to the quality of the engineering and components. I've not heard of any issues with the rifle though. If you haven't already considered them, there are some good, well-priced rifles in the Reximex range. And my favourite mid-price rifle is the Kral NP-03 (£450 ish.) which I think is a fantastic thing. Good luck choosing and enjoy your springer in the mean time.
@@airgunextra thank you for your advice i will look at those gun reviews now. If its not a pcp for the next purchase it could be another springer hw98 maybe. Time will tell my wallet will not thank me but its only money lol
Why every time a affordable airgun comes out that you review, you make encouraging remarks that it's worth roughly double what they sell it for? Don't you want to see prices go down?
I can only say it as I see it Gary which I think is better than me making something up, and I don't think 'every time' is quite true. I doubt very much manufacturers are going to think 'ooh, let's double the price 'cos Rich thinks we can get away with it.' Some rifles are worth exactly what they cost, others, in my opinion, are good value and some are not. I can only call it as I see it. The point I'm trying to make with this rifle and some others (but not all) is that it is such good value it is comparable with the quality of rifles that cost a lot more. And it is only my opinion - worth the same as anyone else's.
@@airgunextra You know how money can change alot of people. I just want my brothers to be able to get in the sport as most struggle to keep their head above water. And a good shooting air gun at a affordable price is an awesome way to start.
@@garyhill9516 I couldn't agree more Gary, and that's why we review plenty of affordable rifles on the channel. Some of them are such good value they equate to rifles costing much more. That's the point I try to make. Thanks for watching.

Floating barrel makes a rifle more accurate.
This pcp outperformed hatsan factor wow
Reminds me of my old theoben rapid. For the money I'd have this. I've got my ticket. Can we get in FAC or can we make adjustments as we need. Thanks.
Hi Ray. I'm sure FAC is an option. Give the guys at Sportsman Gun Centre a call - they'll be able to advise.
do they make a fac version i can only get one in ni if i have a fac so might as well go for more powere
@@airgunextra thanks perfect will do
So I’ve just bought one, came filled with 175 bar.
@@airgunextra airgun review fella said over 300! 😮 Which would be nice....
Hi Richard, did that Rifle have a ambidextrous stock and do you know if other stock options are available. Thank You.
Hi Mark. Yes, ambi stock. As far as I know the wooden stock is the only one offered.
Have no idea as to why but my eyes went straight to the knot in the stock first thing.
Bloody hell. Can't knock that at all 😳
Can you tell me what pellets and weight you was putting through. Thanks
Hi Ray. 16 grain Air Arms Diabolo Field 5.52mm.
Would you buy this over the mx10 bullpup? Can't make my mind up. Ether way il be taking up to 30fb ish. I'm worried about reliability if honest. ..
Hi Ray. To be honest, I've not shot the M10 so couldn't say. The two are very different guns though...

Hi just out of interest what pellets did you use for the review?? Thanks.
Hi Kevin. I was using Air Arms Diabolo Field pellets 5.52mm. Thanks for watching.
How are these when filling with a pump
Hi Jenna. I don't know to be honest, but don't see they would be any more hard work/difficult than most other rifles...
What gun would you recommend this one or the walther rotex rm8 thanks
That's very difficult as they are both regulated and very accurate. Do you prefer a sidelever or bolt cocking action? Much will come down to the rifle you like to look of and which feels better in your shoulder. I'm sorry that isn't much help, but there's very little between the two and its probably a case of letting your heart rule your head.
Thanks for reply and I think I prefer sidelever I will have go see and just getting started as been watching your videos and there great 👍
Sub 400uk for a regged buddy bottle sidelever pcp is one hell of a deal and the heavyweight stature is good for target shooter with a single shot loader.
Better deal than the s400!
I prefer the new intro music 👍🏻
Thanks for letting us know Matthew. Lots of pencil; chewing went into choosing it!
Could anyone recommend a pcp rifle for about £600?
Based on the rifles I've reviewed for this channel, I'd have to say the ATA Airborne or Kral Puncher NP-03 depending on whether you want a rifle or tactical style. And both will leave you plenty of money for a decent scope and mounts. Thanks for watching.
Is it available in the U.S. ?
I'm not sure. I know ATA make a lot of shotguns so if you can find a US dealer that sells them you might be in luck. Thanks for watching.
Need to ask which pellets did you use please taa
Hi - Air Arms Diabolo Field.
@@airgunextra brilliant thanks picked mine up on the strength of your review keep up the good work 👍
@@RogueBrit I hope you like it!
You should Chrono the rifles as well mate
You're right Craig. I'm going to start showing the chrono results. For what its worth, this rifle was between 550 and 560 fps with 16 pellets, so around 11 ft lbs. Thanks for watching.
Single shot tray? 😁👍
Yes, I believe so...
What pellets did you use in that.
Hi Harry. I was using Air Arms Diabolo Field 5.52.
Made in Turkey 👍 infinity powered for Turkish ata pcp
Possibly the best hunting rifle if you're on a budget?
Gotta be up there!
Alot of bang for your buck
Cracking video
👍 👍 👍 😜 🏴 🦄 🎣 😁 🤞 ✌️
That's never a bad thing :)
Time for a new airhose. Bad kink init.
Nope, I don't think so. I had it at an awkward angle for the filming - rifle, camera, bottle - too many moving parts!
A recoil pad !? 😂
More intro than video!
What about the FAC VERSION?
Hi Bobby. Where do I find your videos to see how it should be done?
@@bobbythompson3544 Perhaps you can make one.
Give one for free😀
Wow, another bargain. We are getting spoiled with affordable guns.
The Airborne would embarrass many of them!
Too bulky butt stock
Ugly rifle 👎
Hi Richard …
Did the ATA Airbourne rifle come with 1 or 2 magazines ? … I notice that some unscrupulous dealers are only supplying 1 …
No doubt they are selling on the other magazine … !
Hi. Sportsman Gun Centre are advertising as coming with 2 x 12 shot mags: www.sportsmanguncentre.co.uk/ata-airborne-walnut
Thank you ! ... I'm hearing rave reviews about this Rifle ... Everyone very impressed with the Quality, don’t see the point of the included accuracy target included with this Rifle as the Accuracy can’t be verified with the target included ... ?
