I am using the Obsidian solder-less P Bass system. I did go through and redo the connections first because I thought one of the wires was loose. The tape is pretty cheap and makes a huge difference! Hope this helps or gets you some inspiration 😁 Thanks for watching!
It is relatively simple, you just have to take your bass and every component apart. take the strings off, take the bridge off, take all the electronics out. Take the pickups off.
Do you have an idea as to why my bass guitar gets noise when using rechargeable 9v battery pack. When I use 9v disposable battery it's almost zero noise and super clean.
This is an interesting video. I have a slightly different issue, I have an Alembic Epic bass. When ever I get next to hardware it seems to pick up frequencies. Like radio frequency, I thought it was the shielding, but I was told today that its not the shielding its the pickups. My dilemma is I feel if I change the pickups I will lose that Alembic tone which I love. I am trying to figure this out. Example as soon as I turn on my mixer I can hear the frequency noise through the speakers or when I get next to a distortion pedal. It reminded me if the noise when you turn on an old radio when you pick up a lot of different frequencies. This noise is not the same as single coil pickups.
hi i just want to ask i have a audio interface which is the behringer 202hd when i plug in my guitar the strings of my guitar have small electric shock when i touch the strings and it would create a loud noise on my interface how do i fix it?>
Hmmm 🤔 That’s most likely a grounding issue.. what model of guitar do you have? On the interface make sure the 48v phantom power is off, but the main thing is your guitar is either lacking a ground wire or that wire is loose
@@heychrisgreen the model of my guitar is a tagima tg530 i think its a brazilian brand i think i would go to my local luthier to get my guitar a set up i guess

The foil isn’t for grounding, it’s supposed to reduce interference by acting as a sort of faraday cage
technically it could ground it too, but you're right, it is mostly to shield it from radio waves and such

hey this is some great information! thanks so much
You’re welcome! Thanks for watching
That was a great video I saw that one and you did a great way explaining the issues
Glad you liked it!
Had the same problem. Did the same thing, It worked, thanks for a tip. :)
My fender American pro 2 p bass is noisy as hell. Gonna try this next

Fair points, my tele makes static bad when linked up to my AI. Might have to sort it out
Thank you so much❤

My bass has no pick guard
For me its definitely a grounding issue, because if I touch any of the metal parts of my bass it stops.
