@@dominicmarandola9122 My 30 watts amp sounds like there's this "crackling" sound. Like twigs breaking or something. What do you think is the problem bro?
I have a 5150 that just does that because they all do that in the 90s. Fixed it with a gate in the effects loop. I use a rack dbx 166 xl compressor limiter gate.
@@mike3963 well, in my case, after trying multiple patch cables with multiple cabinets I started replacing tubes. Problem still exists so if it’s not tubes it’s something else deeper. I’ve checked all the wiring and made sure it had proper grounding… so it’s ether transistors or the power supply. I haven’t replaced them yet so I can’t say for sure.
@@matteoguitar i have kind of i found out a couple things, 1. you need to get a noise gate a good one at that, 2. the pickup on your guitar fuckin sucks ass, 3. your amp settings are making it do that, 4. it might be your pedal or grounding issue, 5. last but not least its just like that
I had that problem , and it was actually the neck pickup being loose. It always rang in the F-F# territory whenever I play mute power chords. Just tightened it
I have a solid state crate amp and cabinet from 1989 And when my pedals are turned off the amp will still have a consistent hum sound And idk if i need to buy new cables or speakers or what
My question is why does my pedal make my amp quieter? If I use the distortion channel on my head it is way louder than when I plug in a distortion pedal into my amp on the clean channel, why is that?

Great video. We use effects from out amp (built in effects). So we cannot figure out how to use this decimator II. We bought one. all those plugs we don't know what to put where. Every instructions use pedal boards etc. we have guitar to amp then amp to mixing board. Any help would be great!!!
Cuz the decimator is supposed to fix noise from pedals not noise from amps. If the only fuzzing you have is from the amp then you need to turn the amp all the way up and the microphone sensitivity (not the volume) on the mixing board down. You might not be able to get rid of all buzzing
hey I actually have a similar, but different problem. I have a sound coming through my amp that resembles a siren. I thought it was just my Marshall amp, so I bought a 5150 iconic series and the sound is very much still there. Any advice?
@@oleg.ptiitz Not so much. I just don't place the microphone right on the grill any more. I'm back about 10 or 15cm. Works out much better. If you use a dynamic mic it won't pick up all the noise so bad.
Pointless video...in my experience noise gate doesn't solve the problem it just mostly cut the buzz sound when you are not playing.. loud buzz noise from amp (not guitar) comes from ground issue like in 95% of case.. try to connect your amp in different environments if it has still the same loud noise go to the repair center.
you've got too complicated of a signal path. try guitar > amp with nothing else. all those pedals and extra patch loops are each an antenna to pick up all sorts of garbage coming off of your lights , the fridge, etc (not to mention they're sucking your tone). then there's the quality of the electricity you're getting; grab a good power conditioner.
So make it concert level loud for my apartment. Gotcha
My neighbors are pissed now

Hey man I know this reply is super late but it sounds like there’s a problem with a grounding wire in your amp

Awesome video but what do you do if your amp has a buzz/home even if nothing is plugged into it
???
bad preamp tubes or a bad patch cable from amp to speaker.
@tylerphilco I have two different cables, but still have a buzz with either one with any guitar I have. It only started today

Maybe a noise gate in the effects loop to kill amp buzz would work
Hello there,
Where should i put the Decimator G string 2 in the chain order. Thanks

Is there a software plugins for this?sorry, I'm digital guy

Could be a radio wave signal from a neighbour or just ur household. Try repositioning your amp.
amazing tips, thank you

is there anything i can do without a pedal
when I got my amplifier, the amp was not grounded, so I opened it, and modified, now it have like 90% less noise
