Thank you! Maybe you'll know. I was there and it seemed like there was some kind of problem half way through Lover, Leaver before Josh came back on stage...like the guys had to fill time for a minute or so. Another guy on a comment above said the same thing happened in Chicago. So is that really a mishap or part of the show?
@@tarawerner4271 - I believe it is just part of the show. Lover Leaver has always traditionally been a stretched out, long jam at the end of their shows. Now it comes early on in their show and gives Josh a chance to make a wardrobe change while Jake slips into Jake’s World for a bit…
@@markgrayson68 you are right...Jake does a long "shred" session, for sure. I saw someone else say the same except for us in DC Josh did have an issue with his ear monitors so it took a minute or so more to come back out. Now that I know what happened you can see it in the video.
I was there. Havent been to a concert since i was 11 years old (26 now). Large crowds are hard for me as i get intense anxiety but this was worth it. discovering these guys on youtube made me buy tickets to their concert the same day. Their music is ethereal and elevating. I felt very inspired being there experiencing them live. So much appreciation for these guys and cannot wait to go again.
I was away from music since 1972 when I saw the Rolling Stones in Philly---work and marriage happens. Now I am 76 and my son gladly takes me to concerts and I love that ethereal sound and it never reminds me of Led Zeppelin since I never had time for them back in the day. Aside from that it is a very unfair comparison at this point even if that might have been true at the beginning. Journalists need to move on from that criticism.
It was such a good show, i heard the album when i came out and was like man this is getting less rock and rollish but then i hear it live and am proven wrong, this is my 2nd time seeing them and man they are somthing special life

One of the best shows I have ever seen! Those Kiszka boys (and Danny!) can bring it! Drove all the way from Raleigh to see them and it was well worth it. When they jammed to Black Smoke Rising on acoustic it was superb.
If anybody ever doubts how well Josh sings just show them this video starting at 2150. His voice sounds like a whole other guitar or more keys on Jake's guitar, something. The people familiar with production and instruments will know what I'm talkin about
I was there and it was such an unbelievable show! Great, fun vibe the whole night. All of the boys were on fire. Before "Sacred the Thread" at around 1:18:46 there was a strong, deep, pulsating sound reminiscent of the intro to Pink Floyd's 'Welcome To The Machine', that you could feel throughout the whole arena. Jake than begins a solo and then Danny and Sam join in for a 3-man instrumental jam. Never heard this before! Does anyone know if there is a name or title for it? Sounds like something that just came up during jamming or a soundcheck. Very, very cool. They were all very tight on this jam. Love when they do this. Hats Off to you Mr. Powers - thanks for recording and sharing!
disagree.. Josh has been like this for all 3 of their major tours. ...if you mean when they performed smaller shows...maybe...but smaller shows are always funner
I can almost her myself in the 200's FULLY SOBBING ANS SCREAMING. it was my first time seeing them and I was losing my mind. Even hearing the intro again is making me cry. I was so dissociated because of the overwhelm that I didn't really get to fully enjoy this show, but luckily enough I decided spontaneously to go to MSG the next night and that was insane because I ended upon the floor for free somehow! THen iwas at Philly too and touched Jake and Danny's arm gahhhhhh I love them so much
Thank you SO much for this....aren't they just phenomenal?! Any place you click....mesmerizing and heart screaming! Not sure I should be starting the day with such a high point....All downhill from here Lol
I was there! Obviously, there was some kind of technical issue ir Josh had a problem in the beginning causing Jake, Sam and Danny to wing it for awhile but WOW they certainly made up for it! Great concert!
About 17:00 is when something seemed to be wrong. Jake dies a fantastic job filling but by the time Josh came back out you could tell Jake was mad, lol. Anyway, the rest of the night was fantastic!
Agreed. We just saw them in Cleveland last night and I knew two songs in that something was audibly wrong. Jake’s fills we’re off time and his scales sounded discordant. I’m wondering if they’re pushing something ultra progressive like “Runway Blues.”
@@Emily-oo8sb I saw them again in PA on 9/19 and it was all the same! I actually think Jake's long solo in Lover, Leaver is intentional now! I think it takes the momentum out of the show and doesn't fit as you detailed above. Big miss for GVF in an otherwise fantastic show.

This was teased as Crossroads of the West on their tiktok (based on how they titled the caption), so i'm going to go with that.
