Here it comes, television's most exciting hour of fantastic prizes the fabulous sixty-minute Price is Right!
We are showcasing episodes not viewed in decades. Starting from Season 11 (1982), this is the first season when animal furs were no longer offered as prizes, supporting Bob’s advocacy of animal rights in memory of his wife Dorothy Jo.
To celebrate what would have been Bob Barker's 100th birthday, the channel is also featuring episodes from the debut season of The "New" Price Is Right in 1972.

6:26 “This is Rod Roddy speaking for The Price is Right. A Mark Goodson Television Production.”
A memorable phrase from my childhood
Nothing against Johnny Olsen (rest his soul), but I grew up with Rod Roddy as my TPIR announcer.
Yeah! The Price Is Right would have to get over this one because this closing line would remain by the same announcer for the next 17 years, although Johnny Olson still couldn't be beat. He's up there in heaven watching down at Rod Roddy looking proud at him for keeping the PIR legacy alive.
Rare to see a multi-room showcase.
Just as rare, the opening rooms showcase doesn't get passed.
Rare indeed
Wow, Rose wanted the "nothing but furniture" showcase! She didn't get it, but already had that car
I'm surprised we were allowed to visit the Soviet Union. I wish we could visit a resort in Cuba.
I just saw a UK Catch Phrase clip yesterday (from 2016 maybe?) and the bonus round trip prize was to Cuba.. Was so strange to hear that as a game show prize, even though, yeah, it should totally be a thing in the US by now 🤔
Russians were also allowed to visit the USA as well so it was sort of a tourism exchange thing. Mainly it was a way to get foreign currency into the USSR.
Hopefully we’ll get to Bob Hilton episodes soon
Wow, furniture for your LR, BR and DR.
Back when "Dining Rooms" were popular. Nowadays since modern/renovated houses are "open concept" it's hard to determine where the dining room actually is
Congratulations To You Leslie😊
Was Leslie the lady who lost in Danger Price?
*Legend has it Leslie went to Moscow and was never heard from again....*
Leslie " I am not now , nor have I ever been a member of the communist party "
Wow. I had THAT priced wrong. I thought $700 for the camera, $500 for the sewing machine, $1200 for the espresso machine and $4000 for the trip.
Rod Roddy and George Gray are my favorite announcers of all time.
Gene Wood 🪵 was best 👌
They were good but Johnny Olsen was my favorite.
Johnny Olson was overall best announcer in day-time.
Johnny Olson was king. Nobody gave you an adrenaline rush more than Johnny did when he yelled "Come On Down!" Rod Roddy had similar elements to Johnny and did a commendable job.
Rod Roddy resembles more like Johnny Olson than George Gray, who is nothing but a follower. (Please note that George Gray used to be the host of the Weakest Link when it was syndicated.)
From the Showcase segments of the first show of 1986 (1/2/86) of The Price is Right featuring sub-announcer Rod Roddy and "Holly the Grocery Clerk."
Three rooms must really be better than one because Rose does not pass the showcase. Of course, as mentioned, she had already won a car just before the Showcases.
I do have a riddle for all. What do you call a Russian nerd? A red square!I hope that cheer you up right here on UA-cam Channel for sure period!
Showcase skits were so fun. Haven't seen one in years.
Exactly. All the showcases today are pretty much the same. Boring.
Yeah 10 minutes of show was lopped off for commercials.
When the skits involve the ladies in a bikini I like them 😁
What if Beavis and Buttheaad where watching The Price Is Right and saw Holly? This is how they would respond:
Butthead: HOLLY! Huh! Huh!
Beavis: Yeah! Heh! Heh! Holly's cool! Heh! Heh!
Butthead: Yeah! Huh! Huh! Holly rules! Huh! Huh!
Huh! Huh! She used to be one of the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders. Huh! Huh!
Beavis: Yeah! Heh! Heh!
Something tells me Price won't be offering trips to Moscow again anytime soon.
Nothing against Mr. Roddy was doing triple-duty on both Daytime and Night-time Price is Right ✅️ + Press Your Luck with Peter Tormarken.
Bell 🔔 Antonio , I prefer Gene Wood 🪵 on the 🎤
Nobody cares what the troll prefers.
Since this was during The Cold War. Did Leslie get to meet Gorbachev?
She has an autographed 8X10 with him & claims he was seemingly smitten with her. Can't blame him as she's got it going on !
Good Job
As always , appreciate the kind words Zack 😊.
First aired episode of 1986.
And first episode of Rod's second tryout?
@@silentbob3208 Actually his second tryout period started on January 30, 1986.
Ahh.
What was TPIR doing on New Years Day?
lol chipped furniture @ 1:21
Good Eye 👁
I don't care what anyone says, I love Holly, she was always my favorite.
I ❤️ Holly Hallstrom 😊
Holly's all about fashion, Vogue Magazine and s**t. The rest are nothing more than a bunch of Playboy bunnies!
@@davidellis5141 You should check out her Match Game appearances if you haven't already.... Especially the first one (sure would have liked to be in Gene Rayburn's place for that).
Crazy vacation during the Cold War
Hope to see more Rich Jeffries announced episodes soon
Even here, Bob Hilton's voice-over sub announcer audition.
@@bellantonioabraham6920 thats right too.
Bell 🔔 Antonio is correct 👌
Can't wait to see "The Price Is Right" episode 14.89, airdate January 28th, 1986.
That will be in the next batch when it comes.
@@markyyy94post Bob Hilton tryout interim announcer job.
Leslie was pretty enough to be a "Barker's Beauty-in-Training." Glad she won her showcase.
Leslie is a 10 on a 1-10 scale ⚖️ ! 😍

James is a literal re-dart. Look at the bot copy/pasting, talking to himself. What a re-dart.
I ❤ Holly The Grocery Clerk 😊 !!
👍🏻
I love her even better as a train conductor!
All the meanwhile, business as usual at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, and for NASA as well.
