When i have accidentally forced out my CPU from the board I have actually broke off 2 of my cpu's pins and managed to drop those little pin pieces into/inside my AM4 socket.
I must tell you that it's an expensive motherboard.
This video helped me a lot to figure out how to get them out.
I will also check if socket pins are bent.
    Many thanks for this tutorial!

Thanks mate. I actually only damaged the plastic cover, but it was also nice to see you explain the components too

I feel really bad for the guy who bent the pins. Happened to me once and I honestly think it traumatised me more than my parents' divorce.

Hello Mate, I'm wondering what to do, if my plastic cover snapped. Is it possible to place the CPU in to the socket without the Plastic cover locking it in. (Just held in place by the CPU cooler) If not, can I get the plastic cover somewhere, as I didn't find anything on the Internet.
    Thanks

Did you ever do a video that shows the whole process? I can’t seem to disengage the locks. Would be nice to see it

..very informative video, thanks. I had a cpu cooler stick to the cpu and I yanked it out. yes, i'm a newbie. the board isn't booting, i have another cpu coming hoping the motherboard socket isn't damaged. again, thanks for the information, this is my first build that was running fine, and i wanted to just change out the cooler. oh well, live and learn )

Hello mate, My old harddisk (Samsung 40gb) has scratches on top side of platter. There is no head on the top side. Only bottom side has head. How can I recover data. Please tell me

dude, you don't even know names for things. It's PGA vs LGA socket (pin grid vs land grid array). Also AM5 (Zen4) is now LGA. Also you miraculously break everything, like I've seen people dropping CPUs on bending pins, but wrecking a PGA socket requires quite a talent, lol. Must have two left hands, lol

It wasn't me who dropped it. I fixed it for a customer. You may be right about terminology, but I don't think its relevant here.
