    Урррраааа!!!Получилось!!!!Отремонтировал поломанную ножку в сокете,хотя у меня нет специального оборудования и запасных ножек на замену.Взял подходящую заготовку и при помощи надфиля вручную выпилил аналог ножки.Тут главное - не допускать,чтобы обрабатываемая заготовка не вылетала из пинцета в неизвестном направлении,что ее после не найдешь.У меня 2 раза улетали заготовки,а на третий раз все получилось в лучшем виде.Вставил аналог ножки в отверстие рядом с поломанной.Никаких паяльных работ не производил.Поставил процессор,сделал подсоединения к мат.плате и включил питание.Плата сразу заработала,как новая.Температура процессора 25*С,т.е. комнатная.
    Тут надо сказать,что эту плату мне продал один паршивец-малолетка через Авито.Когда я пришел домой и посмотрел через лупу,то увидел,что штук 10 ножек погнуты,а одна отломана.Я хотел вернуть плату назад продавцу,но он отказался забирать ее назад.Причем при общении с ним в чате Авито выяснилось,что он изначально знал,что ножки согнуты,но при продаже уверял меня,что плата полностью рабочая.Поэтому мне пришлось решать проблему самому.Все ремонтные сервисы у нас в городе отказались делать эту работу.
    Вот думаю,снять что ли видеоролик про свой ремонт?Или не заморачиваться?
    Я - обыкновенный пенсионер.

    The thing with replacing LGA socket is that usualy user is not aware of damaged pins until he/she tries to boot the pc,and many things can go wrong after that...Even perfectly resoldered socket can't guarantee that board will work (actually most of the time after such event it won't). Pins in socket after bending create short circuits that most of the time destroy pcie or dimm connections or something else. Of course,you should always give it a shot if your 500$ motherboard is at stake,in that case you are already 1000$ deep so additional 100$ for replacing a socket wont make much impact on your budget

    • @tenminutetech
      @tenminutetech  10 місяців тому

      That makes sense. It's definitely a high risk repair, even if it's successful if there was any other damage not immediately affecting the end result I can also see that it's possible for micro-cracks to develop either in the solder or traces and cause issues under load. Like you said, if you have the right tools, the ability, and care to take those risks then it may be worth it on an expensive for irreplaceable motherboard. Thanks for the comment! This video is a couple years old so I haven't gone back to this idea, but maybe something in the future.

    One I hated the most was the screwdrivers. With chaos sorting and lack of good eyesight, I can't do my things without wasting an hour to find the right one.
    Also I had three sets. The most annoying one was the watch/glasses set.

    I would say the worst think what can happen is destroying your cpu.and you doesn't have to rip it of. Just slightly press against it from the side

      You're totally right. When its melted it should just gently come off.. which is what ended up happening, but I didn't expect it!

    hi, I know its a silly question but.....I have a socket 1155 Asus board with Bent pins. Can I replace it with 'ANY' 1155 Socket from another board that I don't use anymore?

    • @tenminutetech
      @tenminutetech  Рік тому

      Not a silly question at all! The intel LGA 1155 socket is the same in every board, that's correct (btw 1155 represents the number of pins).
      The issue is that you need to solder the new socket to the board, and for that to happen you need to have solder pre-applied to the bottom of the new socket because you can't access it by hand for obvious reasons.
      If: (1) you have the tools (heated plate and reball mesh specific for 1151 socket) and (2) are super skilled and able to reball it properly, checking the connections, then in theory you could salvage a socket and put it on a new board. Typically it's more work than it's worth though.
      The alternative for us mere mortals is to just buy a new prepared socket from ali for $3.

      As evidenced by the video, I'm clearly no expert but physically as long as it can get hot I think it will help, right? Maybe the heat will not be directed enough so you want to be careful not to damage or unsolder anything else, but if it gets hot it should help you get things loose? Thanks for the comment!

    How you were monitoring the Temperature? And what temperature should we use.

    • @tenminutetech
      @tenminutetech  4 роки тому

      I was using IR sensor to get a rough idea of the surface temperature. Most solders melt at just below 200*C so set your reflow to about 200 and hot hair to 230*C, both depending on how far it is, ambient temperature, and if you have any active air flow in your work-space.
      Hotter will make the components come off easier, but runs the risk of accidentally moving components you don't intend on moving.

      @@tenminutetech can cpu sockets that are similar or same in size be replaced with each other, for example LGA 1151/LGA1155 socket with LGA1200 socket, or some that are even closer like LGA771 with LGA 775 socket?

    • @tenminutetech
      @tenminutetech  3 місяці тому

      @@TheComputerBro Good question. At the surface I would say no (particularly with the LGA1200), but with the other sockets you mentioned if the pins are all co-located with just a few +/- exra pins it might work. That said, they layout of the usage of the pins themselves might not align perfectly, so if you were to make a swap to a different socket on a motherboard, I'd venture to say that you'd also need to consider updating the layout and whether or not that is even possible (i.e. a 771 motherboard might not have traces for the extra pins to accommodate a 775 CPU, but a 775 socket in it's place may still support a 771 CPU). This is all just my best guess, but I hope that at least partially answers your question!

    • @TheComputerBro
      @TheComputerBro 3 місяці тому

      @@tenminutetech so there isn't even slight possibility that LGA1700(DDR4&5) could be replaced by upcoming LGA1851(DDR5)? Since there 151 contact difference, they are of same dimensions

    • @tenminutetech
      @tenminutetech  3 місяці тому

      @@TheComputerBro Honestly I don't think so without a BIOS update and direct knowledge of where the pins connect... you'd definitely need some insider knowledge or a lot of time and a multimeter and a spare motherboard to dig into to follow the traces because they might not actually be the same on the separate chips.
