- So my curiosity got the best of me, and I invested in the Mothership II Divine Rose Palette from Pat McGrath Labs. I also picked up her Divine Rose lip gloss. These are some pricey luxury products, and I have to know - once and for all - whether these palettes are worth their hefty price tag.
*Also, we discussed this in my end of year video, but I am loose on the gray area brands that don't sell in China but who don't have specific cruelty free endorsements. PML claims that none of their products or ingredients are tested on animals, and that works for me. If you disagree, I understand.*

I purchased my first PMG palette in 2020, and subsequently purchased 8 total palettes from her just last year. Dare I say, I’m obsessed. ❤️
Mothership I, that one with the blue you mentioned, is actually BOMB. The colors are shockingly wearable and the mix of warms, cools, mattes, and trichromes really keep it from falling into the “boring palette with a blue to fake intrigue” trope so many similar looking palettes fall into. It looks like oh-not-this-again, but I think you’d be pleasantly surprised

I loove my PMG palettes but there is something so special occasion/fancy about them that I don't reach for them on a day-to-day basis.. Also PMG does 25% or 30% off sitwide quite regularly for those of you interested (and are willing to put up with terrible customer service). Not that $90 is a bargain, but it is definitely easier to stomach.
For all the people in the comments who want to try Pat but haven't, sign up for her site. She has pretty regular (like at least 4 times a year) 30% sales site wide and then almost always something on sale. I have four motherships, but I've only ever paid full price for one. The Mothership 2, which I bought on launch day (Kacki has Mothership 1, which plenty of people have noted, and I'm actually panning it right now and oh my days, its a LOT of product).
Not me watching this and justifying buying the palette because “it’s for my wedding” 🤦🏽♀️

Dang girl I hear you on their formula.. I had one of her palettes prior (before purging all my items that were not cruelty free a year back) but I can attest, they are pretty... The foundation was stellar too. Come on Mcgrath it's easy to be cruelty free, just do it!
I just got the Bronze Seduction Mothership today and ordered Divine Rose II today. You are making me want this palette too. But who are we kidding? I want ALL the Motherships! Such a pretty look on your eyes and love your commentary.

I honestly love Pat McGrath eye and lip products immensely. I’ve found that they just do exactly what I’m looking for with eye shadows every time. The quality and uniqueness of the shadows isn’t really comparable to anything else I’ve tried, even Natasha Denona (though I do love the Biba palette). I’ve opted to save up for the Pat McGrath eyeshadows that I want rather than spending my money on cheaper palettes that I am often disappointed by. I’m so glad you enjoyed this palette!!
