Excellent little house. Reccomend putting a flap inside over the entry so wind can't blow inside so easily, similar to what is used on pet doors, also some straw or bedding of some sort for comfort and warmth. God bless you for doing this for the kitties.
I've watched a lot of vids on building feral cat shelters. Yours is by FAR my favorite; nice work! It was inspirational and gave me some ideas for what I need to build

I would love to see the cats in it, I have been wanting to make my outdoor cat family a beautiful space and have always fallen short because I have skill but nowhere near your know how. I will use your ideas next time. BTW, you could make a nice house for people too I am sure.
Thank you Mary! I tried to capture that cat in it but she's a shy one. My wife, gf back then, ended up moving from that rental. I should check back and see if the house is even still there and how it's lasted.

Yes for safety I'm building an escape exit for my cat shelters because I have other wild life like groundhog, racoons...etc that might want to share or be curious about the cat shelters. You did an excellent job on building the cat shelter.🥰
i do not have a design sheet. the shelter was roughly 1.5 ft deep x 2.5 ft x 2ft tall. It was one of those builds made from whatever i had laying around that day. I believe the suggested minimum interior space is 2 x 3ft and 18 inches tall. door way should be about 6-8 inches square. These are just rough estimates i found on various sites online.

Those feral cat are lucky. This is a very well insulated shelter. They will definitely be nice & warm.

That would be a nice hobby building a Shelter for Homeless Cats they seem to be everywhere although they are beautiful and easy to care for.

areas that get winter the cats will need thick straw inside and preferably in a protected area from the winds

I have a neibor that kicked the cat out of the house after getting a dog. The cat likes to hide under my boat. I hink she will love this.
you should just steal the cat, how rude of them to kick the cat out.

I put my slope away from the front door so rain, ice and snow will not get in.

Nicely done but don’t you need a roof vent for the heat and carbon gas to escape ? May be too toasty for kitty with the hot metal roofing .....
