Looking forward to see where this podcast is going...the only channel to which I subscribed without hearing any of its content first. I came here from the Hybrid Calisthenics channel.
nice to see the birth of a new channel! (now it's 1, I'm slow to the party). I enjoy hearing what you talk about and beyond the fitness I like your mentality and approach (must also be something you train too hey!).
Looking forward to tea with Hampton :> (I'm not a coffee person yet, so those are the drink reviews that will be most useful. I do like the smell of coffee now though!)
Hi Hampton. I'm a US expat living in Scotland, and I've really been enjoying your content for something like the past year now (or maybe longer, I can't trust my sense of time anymore 😂). I am looking forward to seeing how the Coffee with Hampton podcast develops; the longer, slightly less edited format will be welcomed as sometimes the shorter videos keep one wanting more 😊. A massive appeal of your approach is your genuineness. And that's why my two cents is that it would be great fun to see the episodes stick to the mainly outdoor, non-studio format. It's very 'you' in my mind. But whichever way it goes, I'm sure it will be fab! I have some thoughts on the matter of sponsorship but that would make this comment unduly long (too late?). So I'll end this with a big thanks for sharing your positive content. It is breath of fresh air!
Hey Hampton, what are your thoughts on staying positive even through tough times and trying to see the good in people even though it may seem like they're bad through their actions etc?
I think some of this comes down to "what gives a better result?" I know it can be hard to stay positive through tough times. In fact, some people may be angry at being suggested this - which can be understandable. However, I find that I am happier and am able to give more to others if I try to be reasonably positive. So I try to see the good side of things because it's more motivating. As far as seeing the good in people, I find this makes me happier as well. I do try to stay vigilant - if someone might harm me, I think it's wise to take precautions. However, when possible, I try to identify and nurture the good parts of people. That way they can grow and help others too!
I feel the same about being in person. Im in my early 20s and I think I'm going to buy a portable podcast studio / living van. That way I can travel to people without friction. Travel in my 30s, settle down somewhere in my 40s
Yup it should be at www.hybridcalisthenics.com/discord ! There are fitness chats for those who want fitness discussion. The rest of the server is a general hangout.
