I have to say I agree with you, mint and mink are the absolute standouts in this set! I love the way the doors with those two colors came out. They soften out beautifully. I do not have the full set of Inktense but I might consider all the new colors to fill out my existing set of 36. I tend to use Inktense for background and then add other pencil on top. So that works out well. I am glad that Jock is feeling better and that he likes his vet! Having a vet both you and your pet like is important. I have ferrets, they are nip trained, they do not bite. i always do that and the only time that one has ever bit a vet, she did as a statement. She hated him and wanted nothing to do with him. So she looked me in the eye and very carefully bit his finger, enough for him to let her go. I had to agree with her. She was a good judge of character.
Your ferret was just letting you know, wasn’t she? That’s funny. I’d say Jock tolerates most of the vets, but he seems to have taken a shine to this one. It is interesting though, if we have a group of people over, he gravitates to the quietest/shyest person - he is like that too, so I think he must like the energy.
@@TheColourCave Yeah, Cassidy was a particular type. Of weasel! Maybe Jock gravitates towards shy people because he thinks in his doggy heading brain that they need more help. Like a lamb about to be lost. Maybe there is something in their body language or their smell that makes him want to watch out for them. Doggy brains are complicated!
The doors are looking so great! I had to giggle when you were spelling out words so Jock wouldn't get excited. We do that all the time with our Border Collie. These dogs are just too smart! Glad to hear Jock is healing up and likes his vet! A definite plus!

It's adorable though that he took the biscuit from the vet and ate it 😄 Also, the thing about a beige color. 10000000% YES, we need more beige colors in sets because they're really lacking.

Oh Gem, if you and my daughter teamed up on a walk, no doggo would be left behind! 😍 She's exactly the same about needing to ask to pet every dog she sees. The doors are lovely and THANK YOU for making sure that we don't waste money on al those dupes.
Mama Gem is the same, and my Gran used to complain that it took them forever to walk down the street in town because mum had to stop and talk to every dog 😂 If we all teamed up, we'd never get anywhere! Glad you found the pencil observations helpful :)
Love it. Cult pens are amazing. They also have a lot of dogs on their team lol. I made people in the vets laugh as I was waiting to pay and got distracted by a dog walking past.
I got the new 28 and I have to say, when I swatched them out on their own, I didn't really think they were similar to what we'd already got, until I then started to pop them into place into my big pencil case next to their siblings, then I definitely agree that there's at least five or six which are incredibly similar. Mind, I don't care that much because they're all just enough different that when they're watered out, there's more of a change! Great news about Jock and the vet, bless him about being bored and wanting to run everywhere, hopefully you can find something that's going to keep him occupied instead. Sir-rule-Ian is how I pronounce Cerulean :D And I keep swapping between Oliv-een and Oliv-eye-n 😂
Gem, I wound up buying them all. Since they aren’t available in the States, I got the 28 set in the Derwent pencil wrap case from Cult Pens. I didn’t want to wait until they arrived here. Plus I have a bit of Full Set Syndrome so I probably would have gotten the entire set anyway. Love the doors - I have that book and will plan on doing those pages in inktense as I love the way yours is turning out.
I was looking at getting the new colours but it’s so expensive to get all of them, it’s handy seeing them swatched out so I can be a bit more selective and maybe not bother with the really similar ones. That pink flamingo is a colour I feel I’m always looking for though so that’s in the basket for sure!
I favor the purple colors obviously, since purple is my favorite color. I wish they would’ve added more greys instead of yellows. Anyway, I’m glad Jock is on the mend.
Hullo Gem, I understand why you want to avoid the black wrought Iron look, it is just not that pretty! I wold push towards the silver look, I find that to go so well with the darker reds, gold goes better with brighter reds but everyone has an opinion and what they like may not be what you like!
