IIRC, Kirito actually predicts the shots. The trick of the game that makes most people lose is that they rely on the prediction lines which don't give them enough time to react to the bullets. Kirito barely relies on them and he is able to naturally predict these things. Especially having to survive against the rare long ranged opponents in the Sword Art Online portion of his life he just previously escaped.
@@brightwolfz He doesn't really predict it. By running straigt at him, he forces the AI to shoot directly at him, the moment the lines appear he dodges (at least at the second or third barrage, because we actually see him running for several steps for the first "round"). He even relies later on the lines to block the shots from a full-automatic rifle, as the lines appear in order of the shots. Otherwise he'd be toast. To my surprise, in this episode if you pause and read the names of the guns on the wall; in the background. They are all legit pistol names and brands. I find that attention to detail the amazingly cool...😎
Fun fact Keiichi Sigsawa was brought in as a gun consultant for the anime, and ended up loving the setting of GGO so much that that's the reason Alternative Gun Gale Online exists.
Sharingan does not make one dodge a bullet but it can because you know what move they are gonna make. But it's game over when they shoot you in the back and you didn't activate Izanagi or the substitution jutsu in time.
But with Six Paths Sage mode, Naruto did dodge fking Madara's Sage Art Light Fang which is stated to move at the speed of light. Kirito can dodge everything with his eyes closed basically.
Unlike the Sharingan, you can sense objects and while the Sharingan senses people's movements. (Sarada couldn't keep up with a puppet which is not a human.) And you don't need eye contact, unlike the Sharingan.
I love Kirito on principal because he is a wicked sword fighter, but when I watched him in GGO... I fell for him all over again. This particular scene I have watched several times over and still get a kick out of it. Keep up the good fights Kirito and you will always have a fan in me.
It wouldn't really matter if kirito git hit anyway, he'd just be like "MY WILL IS STRONGER THAN THE SYSTEM!!!" and walk up to the guy while deflecting the bullets with his mind
It's probably some kind of video game logic that slows down the "Minigame" so that the people watching outside get to study it. Or the people playing the game get a much longer experience... or both?... Video games have some kind of weird logic thing regarding mini-games
What's funniest about this is the faithful subtitling of every one of the Untouchable gunman's lines, despite the fact that they're all delivered in perfect English to begin with.
When your reason for using subtitles is for translation it's easy to forget that they also exist for the hearing impaired, It's actually required by the FCC telecommunications act to be there.
@@chaon93 When subtitles are provided for the hearing impaired, it is usually as a separate track which is different than the standard script provided for translation (it often includes descriptions of sound effects and off-camera action for context), so it was with that in mind that I initially dismissed the possibility of his lines being provided as a disability aid. It seems that a specific closed-captioning script was never produced for this episode and the translation script pulls double duty. While we will probably never know the true intent of the original translation and subtitling team, I'd wager you are probably correct that the "English-subtitled English" is there for that purpose. That said, the FCC only has jurisdiction over content broadcast on US television. AFAIK only the dubbed version of SAO was ever shown on TV in North America, which is not what is depicted here. There's no regulatory requirement for closed captioning here, and probably wouldn't be even if they showed it on CBS tomorrow since content not produced in English or Spanish is technically exempt from the captioning rules.

That "Hey chicken come on" at the end though
Take notes millennials, this is how we’ll get to area 51

At 0.3 meter a second apparently, did you see how short that track was? Even I could dash through it in less than 6 seconds

Kirito would only be 11 though, isn't that, illegal
@@carbonly4154
oh yeah his birthday is on Oct. 7th so on Sept. 20th he's 11 OOF
you get my point, taking a 10.5 yr old on an area 51 raid would get someone in trouble, and plus he would've found out he got adopted recently
Well he'd never make it.... as the main arguement goes... he is barely 11 NOW so he'd end up either shot or executed alongside you all.
このシーン未だに大好き
俺も好きですよ。
woah, I never knew aang played ggo
He doesn't, its just that there is a black Japanese fan of him
its a Japanese server, they said so themselves in an episode. Fernando Cárdenas Segura

For anyone wondering, the soundtrack name is "Quickly and without fail"

I didn't realize "Kirito" was a Jedi name.
Really? The closes name i heard is Kit Fisto, but no.
I asked my friend who is a huge star wars nerd and also a weeb, but he said that isn’t a jedi name
lordjor96 kit fisto is actually pronounced like kirito in Japanese

Anyone notice a black avatar FUCK YEAH!
Anyone notice a wife in the distance with her little daughter sharpening her swords to punish her black avatars husband? Yeah!
lol
My god he looks like a black aang from Avatar the last airbender
LiVingGaMinG I noticed immediately ever since I saw this episode for the first time. After all, I spent much time hunting down the Avatar (lol jk)

yeah I noticed that as well, most games have a base "winnings" upon a reset due to someone winning...kinda bothers me that they overlooked that detail

but now i am too since its supposed to be an american server. reeeeeeeeeeee

Omg i didnt notice that hahahhaha
To be fair, despite being a Japanese show, that probably would have happened in an English-speaking show
To be fair, it’s not like us Americans are known for our impeccable grammar. Even in our own language.
0:09 Oh a black Air Bender.
I'm laughing to hard at this, Avatar the Black Air bender loool
Just imagine Aang saying some cliché black sayings throughout ATLA xD

run like from the naruto series
robot:COME AT ME CHICKEN
KIRITO MIND:SHARINGAN Now I KNOW WHERE YOUR SHOOTING
😂
Kiritos sharingan is gold lol (his god mode eyes)
I spontaneously saw this video and wtf... ?? 10 YEARS AGO :))
I love Kirito on principal because he is a wicked sword fighter, but when I watched him in GGO... I fell for him all over again. This particular scene I have watched several times over and still get a kick out of it. Keep up the good fights Kirito and you will always have a fan in me.
Well said. When I heard people didn't like SAO, I was shocked, but with this, it stole me again.
@@Stray_UwU The point is, yes hes your typical OP MC... but he also shows WHY he's OP in the first place.... many act like hes just lucky lol
I knew that he was gonna nail it. I mean come on this is Kirito we're talking about!
Well he is a Gary Stu turned partial Mary Sue xD
It wouldn't really matter if kirito git hit anyway, he'd just be like "MY WILL IS STRONGER THAN THE SYSTEM!!!" and walk up to the guy while deflecting the bullets with his mind
LOL
ethan harper With his mind XD? My Bride is a Mermaid? XD
MegaGreenkirby Yes and never watched that anime
this is so awesome, kirito is truly untouchable and AWESOME, really cool scene
He does this by predicting the prediction lines. He looks where the gun is pointed, not where the laser touches, giving him a huge advantage.
Damn right
I get goosebumps when I watch this so many memories ugh
When the fucking slow motion dodge came on, I half expected them to start playing the UI Goku theme
When you're a newbie in school and everyone thinks you're dumb. But get all the hardest questions right
“30 meters!” hes moved about 10 feet...
It's probably some kind of video game logic that slows down the "Minigame" so that the people watching outside get to study it. Or the people playing the game get a much longer experience... or both?... Video games have some kind of weird logic thing regarding mini-games
After he started, it felt like he ran three times that course hahaha

When you have 2 years of fighting monsters ingame:
Everything about this scene is hilarious. The day Something witty entertainment gets to this will be the day I leave this world in a fit of laughter.
I hope he tells all the players that “I looked at where gun was pointing, not where the laser was dumbasses”
I really love it in animes when they think that the protagonist is really weak but then they found out he/she is super strong :D

@@chaon93
When subtitles are provided for the hearing impaired, it is usually as a separate track which is different than the standard script provided for translation (it often includes descriptions of sound effects and off-camera action for context), so it was with that in mind that I initially dismissed the possibility of his lines being provided as a disability aid.
PLAY OF THE GAME:
Kirito as Genji
Imagine a a character from an mmorpg went to a first person shooting game and he owns everyone with just a lightsaber.
i remember Kirito being a badass at the "untouchable" game and making everyone like "wtf just happened?!"
0:46 i never noticed that the guy on the right, has the same arrow tattoo as Aang, from "Avatar:the last airbender" lmao
