How on earth do you get the video off that 360? When traveling abroad, etc. How do you transfer the files and edit? No access to a wifi signal, how do I get the files? Cables?
Okay, so I know you have made a lot of content on the v-10 but I have a thought/challenge for you. While it it is marketed as “vlogging” camera I think that might be a one size fits all marketing description. With the flip up screen, the little stand, the button on the front and everything, I think it would really shine as a an entry level bedroom/studio content camera. DYI craft videos, musicians, woodworkers, at home chefs, talking heads, etc. all of that. To me it looks like it was designed to be pulled out of a pocket, placed in a shelf, and record something that you are working on versus taken out and about and filming your travel or hiking antics. From what I have seen, it really struggles to be a held in the hand walking around camera. But I haven’t seen any videos of people trying to make content with it in their home studio. What if you gave your self to the challenge to use only the canon camera to make a video inside of your studio? I wonder if it would fall short in that regard as well, or if it would start to perform better. Does any of that make sense?
I'm interested in this also. i feel like im forcing myself to like the v10 tho. my only problem w insta360 is there is no sd card option/storage options. even with the x3 it doesnt support ios devices. and basically forced to use wifi to transfer files vs a cable when offline. maybe we are able to at least transfer files from the device to a SSD and then later be able to import to the app to make edits or convert to a usable video. @ZanderRound Can you test this on the go3 and the x3?? there's not too much research on this out there rn for using it offline/cable file management.
I have been looking for talking head videos made with the V10 and I haven't seen any yet that's what I am interested in. Thank you very much for raising the issue
Will the V10 charge while recording? I think the Go 3 does. I have them both but I have been using the V10. I don't think the V10 will charge from a power bank grip while turned on...
The specs alone say the V10 is something that should never have been produced. The video reviews are pretty damning. I pulled up the Amazon page and Mozilla declared all the good reviews of the thing to be fake. Sounds about right. This is like something Canon threw out there to test the waters after having drawn up plans on a beermat during a heavy drinking session.
The Canon is a stinker - the one thing that I wanted it to do was to stabilise, but, it was awful. I would not recommend it and now that I have held onto the Canon, I will use it for nothing but stable vlogging - if that!! A stinker of a product and don't even. get me started about the app.

How is the audio quality on the Go 3, and can you Bluetooth-connect it to an external mic? (You said there’s no plug for an external.)
audio is great but that is a limitation, you can't connect an external audio source

The only advantage for the Canon is microphone input. I purchased the Canon and returned it. Bought the Insta 360 go3.
The canon has a much bigger sensor and works much better in low light

Ok next compare it against zve series
insta360 no bluetooth or wiffi, you need a cable(to connect to your phone or PC) to share. Thats a basic for a 2024 camera
It actually has all of those things
v10 has a better image. go 3 is better with stabilization
V10 has staballization in the menu.
The canon isnt for walking around… its for vlogging at home
