@@stevenqirkle Wes never won a super bowl and tbh I’m gonna say it, Edelman was better than Wes Welker... Let’s ignore The Hall of Fame for a moment, and just acknowledge how unlikely he was to succeed. Julian Edelman was an undrafted Kent State quarterback-turned-receiver. He started his first few years as a kickoff/punt returner, averaging more yards per return than Tyreek Hill! He then transitioned to dedicated wide receiver when Wes Welker left and he even played defense in 2011 when the defensive starters were injured. Edelman was simply the toughest, most adaptable player I’ve ever seen. Imagine playing quarterback for the majority of your life (High School and College), but as soon as you barely make it into the NFL, they say “you’re too short, we’re just going to make you a kick returner”. Edelman took what he was given, and he gave it his all in return. If his adaptability wasn’t enough, he blossomed into arguably the greatest slot receiver ever in the playoffs, making clutch plays one after another. Unfortunately, he will not make the Hall of Fame due to his average regular season numbers, and he will probably be forgotten by most people in time. But Edelman will always be remembered by Patriots fans for his toughness, clutch playoff performance, and pure heart. Randy Moss was with us for only a few seasons, but Edelman was with us for his whole 12-year career. Edelman really is one of the greatest, if not the greatest Patriots wide receiver of all time.
