The old school T56 isn’t up to par but the magnum F that Joel sells is perfect option for all non-original v160 cars. It shifts like butter in my opinion

I went v161 mine was a turbo auto gz all original im also doing a 1400hp build. Im staying with the 200mm ring gear but not drag radials and not drag racing only highway pulls driving and enjoying it

Installing that heavy ass V160 alone with just your hands is not easy 😮 Yes, I agree with a mk4 is not going to see drag racing on the track and just street use then it should stay with it's oem 6speed transmission. Otherwise if the car is a GE A340 , or GE W58 or GTE A340 yes a Grannas Tremec T56 swap is the way to go.
