I think this set has the potential to be the next Metal or even Fleer Ultra. When you break down the types of cards UD are creating within this set, it’s basically the best of the best: original art and iconic covers/comics with parallels and sketch cards. The fact that they’ve secured 10 artists to sign off and do a collaborative 100 piece set means that there will most likely be 10 cards per artist, and that will make a subset. Honestly, I’ve been collecting Marvel comics and trading cards for a long time and I think this set is going to be amazing! I think the price point is also pretty fair/good considering it’s a semi-premium line. Can’t wait for the preview images to show up
I’m looking forward to the previews on this one. Not much has really been said about it. I’m waiting to see the announcement of the other artists involved. Would love to see some big names.
@@The1284 I feel like once the previews come out and the full line of artists release the price for these will go up, regardless of if there are any heavy hitters. Out of 10 artists there’s bound to be at least 1 or 2 tier 1 illustrators. Sienkiewicz is already a pretty big one 👌
Just got back into collecting in the last two years but it’s apparent the hobby is now geared towards those individuals heavily entrenched into the hobby or with those with streams and fans 🙄 Truly unfortunate, I guess I’m relegated to marvel annuals 🙄🙄🙄
It seems like some burnt out sports cards collectors might be moving over to comics cards, even if just briefly. It will be interesting to see if the "high end" comics cards space begins to get flooded with content given what's going on with 2022 Marvel Masterpieces.

@@The1284 I had a dream that J. Scott Campbell was announced as one of the artists and the prices for a box skyrocketed 🤣
@KenKollex I would love that but at the same time can’t afford that either lol

Excited for the set but man this hobby has gotten expensive.
It definitely has and upper deck knows it. I just get concerned that the cost has deterred a younger generation from getting involved.

@pererajulian I hear your issue. I would just collect what you like. Don’t feel pressured to jump on everything offered.

I feel like this all started with the pandemic and the PMG era as I call it.
Do you happen to know dealer costs on the hobby boxes?
This one, I haven’t heard anything. I can only guess that it’s somewhere in the $300 range
@@The1284 Do you mean $300 a case? That can't be wholesale on hobby boxes because they are presenting for less.
No I think per box. I would assume $1800 a case since it’s 6 tins per case. This is just my guesstimate.
