Kiba Yuji's final turn at the end made sense for the reason you skipped out in your summary. Takumi defeated him with Blaster form in what was clearly a clash of ideals. "... leaving Kiba screaming on the ground..." is not an acceptable way of saying, "... sparing his life and calling him human even after all of the horrible things he did after becoming President." Kiba honestly thought he should have died there but he thought long and hard about the ideals he was just defeated by and decided that if he is going to go on living, he'd rather learn how to live from the best example of humanity he's encountered. I threw that last bit in but it's not far fetched given the kind of person Takumi KNEW Yuji was from the start.
Faiz is the last rider series I saw in full back when I was a kid and I have to say it’s one of my favs! The story moves at a slow pace and there are a lot of plot holes but the gears and the fights were dope! Nothing really happened in the grand scheme of things in this show but these characters were fun to watch
Is it just me or is Murakami one of the dumbest villians in the history of kamen rider or WHAT? -Hands the faiz belt to an orphenoch he just met (who has never killed anyone) and has 0 combat experience -Gives resources to humans (the very people he is at WAR with) and is SURPRISED when humans figure out how to kill orphenoch w/o rider belts -Waste valuable time and resources (the few orphenochs) hunting other peaceful orphenochs instead of turning humans -For some reason in Paradise Lost makes this extremely convoluted plan to kill Mari when he had her in custody and could have killed her AT ANY TIME... There are other examples I'm sure but Marakami is just dumb! Kusaka may be a human dung but at least he's actually effective at manipulating people, when Murakami tries to do it It's just sad
I actually love Takumi's personality. He's heroic underneath all that hurt that he's felt throughout his life. I love how snippy he can be and how a bit dickish he initially is, and doesn't form friendships due to a fear of hurting them.
It’s interesting how you said in the movie, Kasako feels like he’s the only Rider that’s needed because that’s basically his attitude throughout the whole series. Or at least when he’s around Takumi. I agree with you regarding Kasako. This is the first time I have ever said I didn’t like one of the protagonists. People think he’s annoying and normally, I am ok with annoying characters but Kasako, is like toxic boyfriend. Which I feel bad for Mari because all the guys that like her seemed psychotic. When he died, I thought, good riddance. Which brings me to another point, his desire to protect Mari is driven by selfishness which is an oxymoron. Case in point when he said he needs Mari like Mari needs him. Which I was like, no, she doesn’t need you, Kusuka, so back off. Whereas, Takumi’s desire to protect Mari is because he cares for her. It’s interesting because I see a lot of contrasts. I disagree with someone who said that Kusaka fights for humanity. He admitted that he fights to test his strength. Takumi actually does fight for humanity. He has to fight for humanity in his soul and on earth. I see the contrast in the bond between Takumi, Mari and Keitaro and the bond between Ryussei students. The trio may quarrel but they trust each other and build each other up. Whereas the bond between Ryussei students is more toxic more than anything. Their only bonding factor is the school. I feel like, Mari, unlike her classmates, is the only one that is truly able to move on with her life after the incident. She still loves her classmates/ foster siblings but she is also able to open up to new people, something that the rest of the students fail to do. I noticed that people think Mihara is the most useless, character but I disagree. The most useless characters are the cops. They were there the entire season and added nothing. I thought maybe they were going to be connected somehow but nope. They could have done without them. Useless villain falls to the King. Seriously? You build him up for two episodes and he fights and gets killed a couple of minutes after his big debut?
I think you pretty much nailed it. Faiz is one of my favorite riders but I could never really say why. The villains were bland and it was pretty much all over the place plot wise. But it really is the characters that keep you invested. You want to see them, and see what they're do next. Good video dude.
Hold up, I love this but I take note on your review of the faiz driver. The show aired in 2003, the Motorola Razor, the most popular flip phone ever, came out the very same year, so yes from a current standpoint is dated, at the time the thing was on the pulse for the most popular phone design for the year.
i love this series. its a mess but a good type of mess. i love back when kamen riders feels more like a j-drama with transformations. the story might not be the greatest, its not overly sad like ryuki/blade, but i personally really enjoy kiba and friends side story more than takumi and co. and the rider designs are really cool. also i would like to see you cover kabuto lol. that series is crazy. one episode you have a anime style cooking contest, and the next episode is suddenly super depressing. its also a great series but it doesnt have a clear tone.
I can't wait for Marcos to talk about the best kamen rider show featuring a kid that always helps people because he saw his parents die on a fire, the emo guy with the little girl, the meme himself and bipolar spiderman... and the most important character in the series: Milky Boy!
Tbh,Mihara can be a really good Delta user(not as great as kitazaki but there's potential). The casting was great,it's just that he needs a spotlight for himself,as a character, rather than simply filling the shoe.
A shame, Delta's final user acting is great on GoGoV as GoGo Green. Also Sawada turned into Toguro is hilarious. Fun fact Peter Ho (Psyga) is the guy from some chinese drama who spits blood used as a meme.
First, I also thought Takumi was a great lead Rider. Not my favorite but still a great one. Second, Hibiki will just make you insane once you watch it after Blade. It was one of the most infuriating experiences I had with toku and I don't want to relive that.
Check out Peter Ho, only reason why for his fluent English is that he's an American born Taiwanese, which also surprise me because i don't seem to remember any rider actor that aren't Japanese except him.
Faiz is my favourite, it's dark and edgy, I don't get people rate Kabuto second highest tier while rate Faiz lowest tier. Kabuto is slice of life, silly jokes, fight generic worms for 50 episodes.
It's okay man. I totally understand loving a Rider Show that clearly has problems. My favorite Season is still Decade and I definitely know that it has problems.
I haven't watched Faiz yet, but from what i'm picking up here, I can only guess Kusaka being bullied when he was younger was what caused him to be the psychotic manipulator that he is in the series. (and as a friend says, the original Meme Lord before Shin Dan Kuroto came into existence) Another friend of mine says that this is the point where Toshiki Inoue is starting to shows signs of burnout, the same way Yasuko Kobayashi did in Go-Busters and possibly Judd Lynn in Dino Charge.
I think Kusaka is one of the prime-examples as to why that shows character- and story-progression was more or less non existent. The idea behind his character is actually not bad. He was a former victim of bullys who, when he grew up, became one himself. He became an over-achiever who constantly had to show to everyone else and himself that he is the best at everything and better then anyone else, even going as far as to do literally anything necessary to achieve his goals not matter the cost. He caused most of the trust-problems for the main-cast (and esspecially Takumi) just so that he would be the one and only hero of this story. This was the allmost perfect set-up for a great "Wolf-in-the-sheeps-den"-type of villian character. Everything was build up so nicely for that one moment that never came. Everyone who watched this show back when it aired was eagerly waiting for that one moment when Kusakas construct of lies and deceit would come crumbling down on him. But there was nothing. Literally nothing. No-one besides Takumi ever saw through Kusakas lies and eryone else thought these problems were the results of an miss-understanding at most. He never got what he deserved, he stayed a bitter and slightly psychotic young man from beginning to end. His plot went nowhere because nothing in Faiz had any kind of consequence for the characters. "Oh? Takumi is an Orphenoch? Okay, moving on!", "Oh, Mari is death? Lets revive her! Moving on!" Things seemed to just happen and get forgotten afterwards. This is why Faiz is considered to be on of the worst written Kamen Rider seasons. Things just happened in the show with no rhyme nor reasons. The focus was not on the characters, it was on these allmost soap-opera-style love-stories that, oh suprise, went nowhere in the end. The characters just existed with stuff happening around them with next to no real reaction to these situations with a poorly made world around them. The plot-holes became just so big at some point that it negativly effected the show to a gigantic degree.
EnerKaizer I disagree about kusaka not paying.his death I believe was good karma justice.he tried to be the hero who saves his love but instead gets beaten badly,is decaying in agony, the orphenoch(kiba) who he has tortured for almost all the season snaps his neck, with his rider power he used for so long no less, and icing on the cake? He dies alone, not even able to say goodbye to Mari and no body to bury, opposite of sawada who died by his hands who was trying to make up for what he had done but at least got say goodbye Mari as he passed
EnerKaizer I do think Kusaka should have been revealed to be an orphenoch/villian he's a psycho jerk whose obsessive, controlling, & abusive yet we are supposed to feel bad for him? I would say that faiz does have some redeeming points the parallels between the orphenoch trio and the faiz trio esp. Yuji and Takumi is really beautiful and the relationships between most of the cast is really the saving point of the show, even if it does lag a lot story wise toward the end of the show
adore the faiz riders' aesthetics and the slice of life aspect was great change of pace for me when I first experienced faiz If I were to choose my biggest disappointment i would have to say miharu being such a non-character, the delta gear being my favorite suit too

Even though I've never seen Faiz's whole 50-episode series, I have seen the Paradise Lost movie and I thought it was okay. I really liked the stadium fight at the end.
I love Faiz. It's still one of my favorite Kamen Riders. It was my first induction to Kamen Rider. I started watching it when I think Decade or Double was airing. I think it was early 2010's. I knew what Kamen rider was somehow, so I decided to take a chance on one of the series and something stuck out about Faiz. This waiting on a 2.0 figuarts of Faiz.
I mean I finished this show and to me, it’s actually pretty good. Sure, Masato might be annoying and the middle section is kinda slow but to me, Takumi is a really relatable guy and to be honest I love the show. It’s really only a certain kind of person who likes this.. and I’m one of them. If you like dark stuff, well here’s the show for you
One thing that i would love more in this video is you bringing up Mina from the Paradise lost movie, sure she would be just another small story that you would ignore to like every other thing that is left out or be nothing for in the original show, i think her story with the amnesiac Takumi is sad and tragic enough for me, but yeah Great video as always.
the series has always held a special place in my heart as a really good season, my main interest in it was the use of very heavy themes since the start also because Kusaka is best rider, he did nuffin wrong
Im coming here after finishing it. I will say i enjoyed myself even if the paradise lost film was a mess. I got started with this as my first. I was interested in them due to the riders designs and the ps2 game. Also kaidou is my favorite character besides takumi and to some extent kitazaki. I really dont like kusaka as he felt more like a villain and unlikeable
Kusaka is like the most unlikeable and most annoying secondary rider from what i've seen so far lmao, that guy was just a pure asshole from start to finish.
This is the one rider series I remember seeing in full as a kid. This was my last and favorite series! Love the fights and story and the suit looks dope! Everything else I see online looks over the top and too childish for me
Ok so I finished this video and I have to give u credit u really get spot on into these series. When u showed the drive video some days ago and u did his movies that's when I noticed doing drive without looking at his predecessors namely Faiz and deno and then mention the series characters kindve over bogs the summary. Faiz was confusing to me the 1st time I watched and then I noticed faizes story was more about watching youths try to live and have a peaceful exsistance against an extremely violent world it was all character driven the fact that orphenoch (weird pseudo-biblical reference there) rider gears and smart brain played into their lives made the "talking" moments necessary and more impactful to me it also fleshed out kusakas character without him having to be explained. kusaka was just an evil Steve urkle he had an affection that controlled his actions and in his mind the world only needed him and Mari. Everyone else was only useful to that point and when he saw Mari's involvement with kiba and takumi people had to go. An example of this is in the sic story: where he left mihara to die and abandoned the delta gear to murakami and Leo because he thought mihara sent mari the roses. Looking at the story and my statement earlier. U had all these kids with dreams have their lives torn apart and shattered and instead of giving in and becoming subjects or victims of smart brain they seeked to live with relationships and friends in peace. The world just didnt allow it and forced all of them to fight for it... Fighter or not like a less explosion ridden gundam series Lol. Smart brain is kindve basic. its a send up to old school rider villains which were normally organization of vast influence and control. Smartbrain was just using early 2000s biggest draw- video and communications technology. Like foundation x, shocker, and other organizations they were a supremacy group dedicated to their own kind in a bid for world domination. That's why their equipment is tailored to orphenoch. I thought the gears they built were made to protect the king they just happened to be strong enough to kill him, anywho every kaijin group in kamen rider sees humans as just as big of an enemy as we see them. And looking at the complexity of orphenoch (especially the means of creation), undeads, grongi, greeed, riomudes, and bugster its easy to see why certain kaijin hate us. And just asking another conesiur (I know i said that wrong) have u noticed that a lot of hesei series feature heavy biblical and Christian/other western themed overtones... Like creepily so. The whole god making undeads and their purpose, the very term orphenoch- their color scheme and kaijin reference, just about everything in gaim, the seed of agito, alchemy in both wizard and build. Like just a whole bunch of things have these nods. One thing im opposed to tho if it's a history of the series can we just get that and then a follow up video of your views on the series it just appears that at times your opinions can cut into the material and it can promote a negative view of the series and most of its done in the midst of the video when ur talking about story and plot points or characters. I do like your videos tho, I would just like a seperate video that has your personal opinions one that could also invite room for comments and discussion. Please keep up the great work!
Honestly this is still one my favorite Kamen Rider seasons in spite of all of its flaws. There are a lot of good character interactions and heavy emotions that truly carry this series for me along with the fights and the suits. And the characters actually grow and develop through the series (aside from Kaixa but hating Kaixa is another reason I like this season) and I really cared for them. It is hard to really describe why I love Faiz as much as I do since unlike my other favorites (Drive, W, Ryuki, Ex-Aid, Gaim, Kuuga) there isn't one stand out amazing thing about the series that makes up for all of its flaws. Maybe it has more to do with when I watched it as I was just coming off the hype I had from drive before I decided to back to watch older seasons and wanted to start with this one because of the suit. Maybe I just like character heavy narratives. Maybe I just like bad stories. I don't know.
(36:00): I know that it is your opinion, Marcos, I like Justifaiz. Just so you know, a Hololive V-Tuber sang Justifaiz in her karaoke stream a week ago. Just search for “Justifaiz Korone” and you’re good 😌
The Troodon If I remember right, it's because Peter Ho (Leo's actor) was born in California and speaks English better than Japanese. Please don't take what I'm saying as fact, I can't seem to find any sources supporting my claim of him speaking English better than Japanese so I can't say that as a fact. I just remember reading that somewhere.
Games Master Yes, I did read that somewhere. It says that on his Wiki, but I'm not sure if that's enough to support my claim since Wikipedia isn't the most reliable source of information.
Hey there Marcosatsu, I wasn't able to find your channel again some time ago, and I was getting worried that you were deleted or something like that, because I really like your channel. I'm glad that you're back :)
I just always wondered during lost paradise, why were they so picky on obtaining the emperor's belts and not just experiment on the riotrooper suits first and try to develop something better than the emperor's belts
orpenoch king foreshadowed at the beginning when mari tell story about her burned aparment & later that her adopted father open the school and adopted the kids to find the orpenoch king, that ironycaly founded and saved by another orpenoch
What faiz has is style. No rider ever beat faiz/takumi cocky hand gesture after he henshin. man that's soooo cool! Also kaixa after henshin is cool to.
First time I saw the suit, I facepalmed. But then I got into the story. It's amazing that we got to see a villain that we could sympathize more than the hero, who's already quite good himself. Takumi is a proper dude, and he never lets up.
The problem was not that the characters were not talking. The problem was that they were not talking about the cause of the misunderstandings: Kusaka. I don't remember which episode it was. But Kusaka and Takumi confront each other. Mari comes in, and Kusaka acts like Takumi hurt him. Mari asks what happened, and Takumi responds with "Nevermind" and storms out. He COULD have said "Kusaka just threatened me. He is a liar". But nooooooooooope, he didn't even bother defending himself...
Marc Liljeqvist yeah.....that made very little sense, of specially since he also tortured kiba when he was injured....and kiba also said NOTHING.i believe mark would have believed him.the writing in this show was just......sigh
I love the characters of this show and how they tried to talk, but not really for example Takumi, Kiba, Kusaka or Keitaro, Yuka, I know most western fans don't like Faiz because of this but me personally I am asian I kind of get what's director trying to do. But anyway, I think Lucky Clover sucks because of the girl one and glass one.
I really liked Faiz, it goes beyond of just monsters fighting humans. They try to give different characters backstory, colors, depth... It's not perfect, it's goofy and sometimes cringe, but it has its charm. I like the gears, suits and weapons as well.
I've taken a look at the weapons and items that the brighter is use and surprisingly there actually designed to look like regular everyday items until they are used by the riders. For example the The rider kick weapon is actually disguised as a sort of telescope or binoculars, and the rider punch weapon is a camera
I feel like Kaito Kumon from Kamen Rider Gaim is what the producers wanted Kuaska to be. The complete opposite of the main character with similar goals but different methods to achieve them.
Also I feel like Delta in the end should have been Sawada because it would of made more sense. He was on a path of redemption before he died. It would have been cool for him to be Delta instead of Mihara. Not a fan of Mihara because he wasn't that important and very underdeveloped. It just seemed like he was just thrown into the story.

-For some reason in Paradise Lost makes this extremely convoluted plan to kill Mari when he had her in custody and could have killed her AT ANY TIME...
The king's still alive tho
@@Kepin151 Even in the movie
I think you pretty much nailed it. Faiz is one of my favorite riders but I could never really say why. The villains were bland and it was pretty much all over the place plot wise. But it really is the characters that keep you invested. You want to see them, and see what they're do next. Good video dude.

Hold up, I love this but I take note on your review of the faiz driver. The show aired in 2003, the Motorola Razor, the most popular flip phone ever, came out the very same year, so yes from a current standpoint is dated, at the time the thing was on the pulse for the most popular phone design for the year.

Yeah its a lot easier to see the shark inspiration from a side profile compared to how its usually shown
i love this series. its a mess but a good type of mess. i love back when kamen riders feels more like a j-drama with transformations. the story might not be the greatest, its not overly sad like ryuki/blade, but i personally really enjoy kiba and friends side story more than takumi and co. and the rider designs are really cool.
also i would like to see you cover kabuto lol. that series is crazy. one episode you have a anime style cooking contest, and the next episode is suddenly super depressing. its also a great series but it doesnt have a clear tone.
Not like today series
I can't wait for Marcos to talk about the best kamen rider show featuring a kid that always helps people because he saw his parents die on a fire, the emo guy with the little girl, the meme himself and bipolar spiderman... and the most important character in the series: Milky Boy!
Blade is my third favorite season
What is that? Never heard of it
@@GaionSputro Kamen Rider Blade
Tbh,Mihara can be a really good Delta user(not as great as kitazaki but there's potential). The casting was great,it's just that he needs a spotlight for himself,as a character, rather than simply filling the shoe.
Fun fact : Masayuki Izumi (Kiba Yuji actor) failed an audition to become Inui Takumi because he is a left handed.
Also Rip Masayuki Izumi
And in the show,he transformed with his left hand
So thats the reason he always swing his hand after fighting? 🤣👋🏻
A shame, Delta's final user acting is great on GoGoV as GoGo Green. Also Sawada turned into Toguro is hilarious.
Fun fact Peter Ho (Psyga) is the guy from some chinese drama who spits blood used as a meme.
YES!!! Takumi is the main reason Faiz is in my top 5 Heisei Rider series.
Everybody seems to hate him but he’s my favorite after Godai Yusuke
**Swing hand* Thanks
First, I also thought Takumi was a great lead Rider. Not my favorite but still a great one. Second, Hibiki will just make you insane once you watch it after Blade. It was one of the most infuriating experiences I had with toku and I don't want to relive that.

Check out Peter Ho, only reason why for his fluent English is that he's an American born Taiwanese, which also surprise me because i don't seem to remember any rider actor that aren't Japanese except him.
Better than the japanese actor itself😁
The henshin device is based on a cell phone and the show is about communication. That is weirdly brilliant.

Wait is this really Scott?
What
I haven't watched Faiz yet, but from what i'm picking up here, I can only guess Kusaka being bullied when he was younger was what caused him to be the psychotic manipulator that he is in the series. (and as a friend says, the original Meme Lord before Shin Dan Kuroto came into existence)
Another friend of mine says that this is the point where Toshiki Inoue is starting to shows signs of burnout, the same way Yasuko Kobayashi did in Go-Busters and possibly Judd Lynn in Dino Charge.
Yuji and Takumi is really beautiful and the relationships between most of the cast is really the saving point of the show, even if it does lag a lot story wise toward the end of the show
Moanna Yurikio kusaka shouldn t be ophrnoch. That’s the point of the series. Sometimes even human are worse than monster
Thats long
adore the faiz riders' aesthetics and the slice of life aspect was great change of pace for me when I first experienced faiz
If I were to choose my biggest disappointment i would have to say miharu being such a non-character, the delta gear being my favorite suit too
Faiz is one of my favorite Kamen Rider series, toku series and superhero shows.

If you like dark stuff, well here’s the show for you
I love the fact that takumi being an orphenoch is foreshadowed very early on
21:19 "Oh no, I've gone cross-eyed."
I love yuka and keitaro, such a bittersweet couple
the series has always held a special place in my heart as a really good season, my main interest in it was the use of very heavy themes since the start
also because Kusaka is best rider, he did nuffin wrong
Fuck kusaka
Glad you like
Im coming here after finishing it.

Crab kusaka's smile tho looking devious
I hate kuuga and ryuki
@saiyautang4088 Ryuki is good tho!
