Wow this was the best video yet. So full of information, I've never tried curtains by overdirecting to the top but that method gives a really cool look. I'll have to watch this back and absorb all that info again, great video 🙌
Really? That’s great to hear - I struggled my way through this today! I’m please the feedback has been good so far. The over-direction on the top makes the centre panel the shortest point - which gives the curtains more volume through the top and less weight which gives them a more ‘floaty’ look
Thanks for the feedback! Shorts are a difficult one. They get the most reach and help the channel grow. But they make the feed look messy! What is it you don’t like about shorts? Again thanks very much! 🙏
I’m so glad it was helpful! Cutting an undercut / Slickback can be a difficult! I’m uploading 1 tutorial every 1/2 weeks so check back for more tips. Thanks for your support! 😁
This is one of my favorite videos, I come back to it a lot. I am always growing but I mainly do fades and tapers. The top and sections always bothered me because I only knew a few things and wanted to truly understand sections and different ways to cut. Thank you for the help. One thing I did want to ask though (not a critique) is if in the videos you could explain what the sections do, why we would want to make them, and what sections for when, that would help. I am very grateful though for the video and information I just always wondered about these things more in depth as well!
Hi I'm from INDIA love this content very much the way explained was absolutely good. Most UA-cam's just make a video or just teach randomly. your way of teaching will helpfull to understand fast even for a beginner
Thanks very much! I’m glad they’re helping you out. I’ve got lots more over on my “haircut tutorials” playlist. I’m aiming to upload a new video every 1-2 weeks!
Does horizontal graduation (generally) build more weight vertically because the vertical shape is controlled by overdirection and not cutting line (like with vertical graduation)? From what I understand, heavier vertical shapes are easier to create by using overdirection while softer vertical shapes (round layer, square layer, soft graduation) are easier to create by using the cutting line/finger angle. This is what makes horizontal graduation create heavier shapes (vertically), because it's created using overdirection?
@@chamanny7601 the triangular section is to separate the crown. The crown may need extra attention depending on how it reacts. This is also the connecting layer to the top so you can start your top guide from this. Thanks for the message mate!

Haircuts can vary, a regular haircut (anything above a zero fade) often take 30 minutes, whereas a skinfade typically takes 45 minutes. This particular haircut took 45 minutes as it was a scissor cut with skin tapers

Was this a Geometry class or barber tutorial?! With all due respect, you won't have enough time to do all of this hair parting while working in a barbershop and there's a long queue of clients.
Each to their own mate. I work in a barbershop where we schedule the correct amount of time to do a haircut accurately which is why I have the time to section the hair and be a bit more meticulous. If I worked in a walk in barbershop.. I would clipper over comb everything and the scissor work would be minimum! Haha.

Great video! Thanks for posting! Look forward to your videos (except the shorts), tutorials are among some of the best on YT.

what does your ebook include ? Can you give more details? also says out of stock
I wish every barber would do this for the top part
I know right! It seems most barbershops are only using clippers. Slowly we are getting there tho, soon everyone will be well educated in scissor work
Love it.
Appreciate the love!
Omgggg… thanks for posting… yikes… I went toooooooo high today.
Bless you doll 🧁✨

Thanks very much! It’s extremely hard to grow on UA-cam. The algorithm has not been kind to me as of yet 😄

Are you angling your fingers inward for a slight graduation at the nape?

The taper got a bit too high on the back imo but the cut is awesome.

I had to slow the video way down. Idk if you did this on purpose but ALOT of nuance is lost when you speed up the video and talk so fast.
Like very difficult
