Didn't even get 1 minute into the thing before I "had to" say something. Saw that one image featuring the "stretchy aspect" and the first thought was, "Umm...OK. Flippin' ingenious. Why could I have not thunk of something like that? A product like that has, "RETIREMENT," written all over it. Just give it time. There are A LOT of chair legs out there in global society.
A couple of years ago, I hung around with the great-grandson of the inventor of the flush commode. Revolutionized the world. Just imagine how many billions and billions of those things there are these days. Something like that is along the lines of either the telephone or the light bulb. These chair thingies have that kind of possible potential someday. Completely mind-boggling.

There are so many products out now that are made from Silicone. I have a friend to made a toilet gasket out of silicone. It actually works really well. He sold some but probably overall has lost more money than he made. So even when you have a good idea, it's always a gamble.

Great idea! And I noticed the billy club you used for the demonstration. We have one that is quite similar. Picked it up off the sidewalk outside a Chicago bar way back in the 70s!!

One of the most annoying practices is the manufacture of chair legs that are not flat on the floor. We have chairs with two big legs on the back and two smaller on the front. I have considered going with this style but I may opt for carpenters glue and felt directly on the leg. I want to avoid nails or tacks because we all know at some point it's going to scrape the floor.

UPDATE: how fast did the thin felt wear off?

Interesting! I wonder if they make smaller/skinnier ones for like mid century modern legs?

I haven't seen any like that yet. Also, some of my chairs are narrowly tapered at the bottom so these don't fit very well. Maybe other companies have or will have several options in the future.

Honest opinion: how noticeable do you think they are? I have felt pads on just about everything in my house and I get very tired of the hair and dust that clings to them. Plus my felt pads do seem to wear down on some of the highly-used chairs! Looks like a possible product for me! Thanks.

Honestly, they are not a beautiful sight. I wouldn't put them on my nice dining room chairs. They are good for some applications. They do stand out a bit but if that doesn't bother you, they seem like a decent product.

Only good if you have straight area three inches up. Ours goes to a bulb and keep falling off.

    Dear Sir.
Thank you for your review. I have a problem perhaps you can help me with.
I have a carpeted tuition center.
The student's chair legs dig into it.
I need "gilders" or something else to protect the carpet. Felt bottom are obviously not suitable as they increase friction.
The problem is : I can't think of a way to get the gliders to attach to the feet.
I was considering epoxy, but with 40 chairs × 4 feet! What a project!
I considered 3d printing, but don't know how to go about it (I live in Malaysia. )
    Any suggestions?
To NO avail, I have not found ANY solution online.
Everything ive come across is either hard wood floors, or office chairs in a central location requiring a mat.
My problem, which I can imagine is not unique, is in between these two.

How about those hard plastic glides that you pound in with a hammer. Something like these. a.co/d/eWz8waF

Firstly THANK YOU for the response.
Secondly, sadly, the chairs, naturally, have a bit of an angle (and front and back differ slightly). Thirdly, the legs are hollow metal.
I thought of putting (read : stuffing, shoving) wood into the legs for such a device, but now I have the angle problem.

These chair condoms are junk. They slip on easy and when you slide the chair around, they slip off just as easy. They also look like crap.
