As always have a great day!
Thanks for the review. I was wondering about deck chairs and composite decking. Nice job.
Nope not yet but I'm going to now because of this review thanks so much Jeff I subscribed. Year ago .do help like having an professional handy man here for me ♥️♥️♥️👍🏾
Thank for this I think it will fit my dinning room table legs the are bigger square like the last one you just showed I know it will fit if it's heated up . .
Looks great. I have all carpeting, even in the dining room. I don't need anything like this but if I did though, it's nice to know that I have a reliable product to go to. Thanks Jeff.
Same here. More carpet, except in kitchen where I just have a couple bar stools.
Definitely not needed on carpet...lol. but does a good job on non-carpeted floors. Thanks for stopping by and commenting.
Very nice and useful review. Thank you for sharing. 💕❤️💓💞
You are most welcome! Thanks for stopping by and commenting.
IME, after time, maybe 2-3 months, the silicone stretched out and cracked, leading them to fall off (my chairs are about the size as yours). They used to fit snugly around the wood, I was pleased with how they worked on hardwood & tile, but now they’re useless. I suppose they could be replaced 4-6 times a year…I’d like to find something that will last longer.
I gotta get that “mini” cut off tool you used to open the package haha
Hello Jeff
Thank for the Ruby Slider review. I have been curious about this product for use in my home. By the way, the plastic cap you removed, found on the foot of chair(s) or back of upholstered sofas and chairs are only for protection in the shipping carton from damage while being stored or shipping and are not meant to protect your floors or walls.
Good to know because the do a lot if damage to the floors. Thanks for taking the time to comment.
Thank you Jeff I wonder if they make them big enough to fit over My dinner room table legs
I've used a different brand but if they are Silicone they are like magic. Q: I have stools with a metal 1/2"+/- peg affixed to the bottom. Any suggestions as these tiny pieces looks pretty permanent.
Nice review. Unfortunately, they do not fill all leg sizes as advertised. Had to "force" on to square legs. Did not slide smoothly on floor after just 4-5 weeks.
Do Ruby Sliders work on chairs w/ swivel feet
I hope the fit on my table legs too
The felt does move and comes off
Curious if the silicone will damage or fade the wood over time.. thoughts ?
In my experience, the chair legs have not been discolored. Thanks for stopping by and commenting.
HI ,WHAT is that thing you used to open the shrink-wrapped package? just cannot open these type packages. Your "opener" looks very handy. Thank you.
That's the zipsnip...I reviewed it here: ua-cam.com/video/hAGhMAfHQ_o/v-deo.html
Dear Sir.
Thank you for your review. I have a problem perhaps you can help me with.
I have a carpeted tuition center.
The student's chair legs dig into it.
I need "gilders" or something else to protect the carpet. Felt bottom are obviously not suitable as they increase friction.
The problem is : I can't think of a way to get the gliders to attach to the feet.
I was considering epoxy, but with 40 chairs × 4 feet! What a project!
I considered 3d printing, but don't know how to go about it (I live in Malaysia. )
Any suggestions?
To NO avail, I have not found ANY solution online.
Everything ive come across is either hard wood floors, or office chairs in a central location requiring a mat.
My problem, which I can imagine is not unique, is in between these two.
How do these hold up with heavier people using this product? Also how do you clean the ruby felt from dust and pet hair? I understand there is a 10 year warranty.
They fall off
Hi I have a question can you use the hair dryer to tighten the slider onto any chair?
Directions recommended not to because of risk of damaging the chair leg. If you're not worried about that it should work. Thanks for stopping by and commenting.
My daughter and son in law tried it, but it did not work. These things don't work at all for my smaller dining room chairs.
@@snu3877 The right Size is critical. Too big and they are useless. Too small and they are tough to put on. I'll try the hairdryer.
Can you use those ruby slides on a front-wheel Walker
Siimilar to tennis balls? Possibly, I'd worry about them getting pulled off. If you end up trying them, let us know how it worked out. Thanks for stopping by and commenting 👍
DO THESE ALSO WORK WITH DIFFERENT TYPES OF TILED FLOORS?
I have ceramic tile. Yes and now NO NOISE!
glue them onto the bottom of the leg. ???
Glue could work as long as you never plan on taking them off. Thanks for stopping by and commenting.
Can I use them on my chairs?
Lol...yes and no.
Thanks for the stopping by and commenting.
Sorry but the ruby part of the sliders fail and fall off and need to be reglued and thr silicone stretches and comes off the legs over time.
what happens if they get wet??
I sat one on a plate of water for a week and nothing happened... the color didn't run. Thanks for stopping by and commenting.
They said use a hair dryer for to warm it up .
If your furniture is on carpet they ware out fast
These don't work at all for me. I can't even slide out of my dining room chair to get up and leave the table without one or two of the back ones coming off. The commercial implies they work on all sizes/widths/shape of chair leg, but it simply is not true. I am going back to using the felt pads that you stick on. Yes, they do wear down and/or come off, but it's easy enough to just put on a new one. I am really disappointed, b/c of course the commercial makes it seem like it's a fantastic, foolproof product.
In my opinion the leg size should be at least 1 inch. Otherwise it will fall off. Thanks for stopping by and commenting.
