Teutons are my favourite civ, they have a lot of cool bonuses and many power units.

Viper’s knowledge is just amazing. In addition to his amazing button mashing, he has every civ’s strengths and weaknesses memorized to every last detail, so he knows how to play against anyone using anyone. It’s an astounding amount of memorization.

my favorite videos are the ones that are exceptional enough to cause a lot of suprised reactions from you and/or chat
sometimes that means a really clutch game where both players are doing incredibly well, when an underdog makes a suprise comeback
but most of the time it's when a player does a weird strategy that catches the other/s off guard and gains them a win or at least an unexpected advantage.
all that to say, yes, i would like to see Viper trying odd strategies
Teutons is really underrated. And they are not that slow, I mean, what can outrun a Paladin? Sure, not ideal for raiding but with Teutons you'll have a better eco than your opponent anyway.
Also, like the playlist idea.
You should call it "vipers metas". So you could can call them "vipers turtle ship meta" ect.

Any playlist that helps us watch unique game plans would be fun. Viper is definitely the one who plays around the most but then there's also tatoh

I've been waiting so long for this. I only started watching your videos like a month ago, and I wondered why no one ever picked Teutons. They're my favourite civ so I've been waiting for my capy boys to get some love from the pros. Great match and casting!

Teuton game plan: teutonic knights besides castle, lots of hand canoneer inside, magonels behind it. 3 castles interconnected & well protected with walls, trebs & bombard cannons, castle rush in early or late game with paladins + tetonic knight combo, monks to collect relic & heal units later

Playlist for Viper - sounds good. Also could you do that video that you said you would do a while back about accessing voobly and user patch for the first time. That would be really helpful:)
Viper not building units ... classic AoM early game
I have been seeing little arrows of the colour of the player the unit belongs to above units heads. Does it mean the player has that unit selected? Or does it mean something else. also a monk had a yellow arrow above him and it had a yellow line connected to an arrow over a knight. Does that mean the monk was tasked with converting the knight or it had tried to? Plz tell me in the replies.

I noticed something at 11.40. The player keeps selecting with his mouse a team of attacking soldiers and guides them. A nice feature in aoe is that you could select some soldiers and have them in a team with a number, example nr 1. Each time you pushed 1, all soldiers would be selected...
Teutons have one of the best castle age pushes with knights being monk resistant, a few utility monks to sustain the push and their siege having armor and a superb food + wood hybrid economy bonus to put it into effect. I will admit they do lack mobility in imperial with their bonuses being focused towards being defensive but they are seriously underrated.

Both of them had a lot of food and gold in the bank at the end. I assume Zuppi just ran out of production buildings, but maybe Viper was considering a switch into Paladin?

"Breaking the META" would work. Biper is pretty much the most known to go haywire with anything outside of tournaments, breathing some life into the game. Love the idea.
How does it make sense that crenelations give extra range? if anything that should be like a defence upgrade or something. For a range upgrade, something like "Turrets" or "Towers" would make more sense (since those things extend a bit out from the walls)

Could someone please explain to a scrublord like me why top-level players never use monks? It seems like a good idea to be able to heal units you retreat so they can survive longer, rather than have to put the pop & resources into another unit, plus you get the bonus of conversions and relics - what's the counter-argument?
well since all players SHOULD go for a handful of monks every game in order to get the relics, most highly rated players will make at least 2 or 3 per game. In this game Zuppi is shown using a monk to heal his crossbows (at 17:40, after the scorpion engagement), but since there's very few monks on the map, and since they're usually away from the fighting collecting relics around the map, you don't tend to see them, but they're there. Players will also typically go for a couple conversions in order to get good value off of their expensive monks, so you'll usually hear the conversion sound at least once per game.
Of course the problem with going with a lot of monks is that, while they're powerful if used well, using them well means individually microing each monk to click a different conversion target, while also having a good handle on the units you convert (involving reacting fast to random conversion times) in order to protect your slow, weak and expensive monks. A fight with a lot of monks demands practically all of your attention, meaning no time to develop your base, make more units or research while it's going on. It's also really really really hard, so most players in general don't go for mass monks, to avoid the headache.
I went desperately looking for a viper shenanigans playlist, and was very disappointed not to find it. :<

Free murder holes, when we were kids, would have been in Age of Kings, which means it cost 200 Food, 200 Stone. MUCH more valuable to get it free than it is now, at 200 Food, 100 Wood...
You forgot that the 10man tower capacity insted of 5 is neat too for villagers to get into safety.
