No problem. It's a lot to take in at first, but once you know how it all works and where everything it gets easier 🙂. There's just so much stuff in the game.
Thanks for this video this is exactly what I was looking for. I could not find any proof that they were producing. Also a tip is if you give them a soup bowl. they will steal your bowl and not return it so you can refill it.
No problem. That's exactly why I made it. As for the bowls, I'm pretty sure the Devs are aware of it and should hopefully fix it in an upcoming hotfix or patch.
Yeah I'm in their discord. It's one of the most generally asked questions, how workers actually work. I can't wait for co-op coming soon and the quest 3 update. I've finished the game twice making a heap of videos for it. (More are shorts though)
I sure hope they update it so that it looks like they're actually performing their tasks but i mean this is also slightly an adventure game so I guess you could just assume for your immersion that they work when you're not around. Also it'd be cool if your village got foot traffic from random NPCs that may stop at the tavern for a drink on their travels.
People stop into your tavern all the time to eat and leave money if you give them what they want. But your tavern worker does not make meals for them. You have to do all the work.
Yeah I've been waiting for the quest 3 update to do more videow. I've already finished the game twice and done many videos covering a lot of different things, and ran out of ideas lol.
Another handy tip I learnt was you only need to put the workers in the field for the first few days, just until they have planted everything, then set them to other tasks (or fire them if you are a cruel tyrant) harvesting the crops 2 seasons later only takes you seconds, so isn’t really worth putting them back to do, however you should then re-assign them to plant the next set of crops ( assuming you are able to grow crops in winter! If you haven’t unlocked this yet, don’t put the workers back or they will plant seeds that are effectively wasted as they die in winter.)
Yes, you can definitely do that. I did this myself for 2 seasons of crops just to get the feats completed. But I just prefer having nearly everything automated.
Woah woah woah.. you just through out that tip that you can ask for another worker token thing if you lose theirs. I haven’t seen that option. I lost someone’s early on in the game because I didn’t know what they were and haven’t been able to assign them to a job since.
It was introduced in their latest patch. Make sure you have your game updated within the quest update section. And if you have a worker not working and still at the camp because you have indeed lost their tokens, they should now give you an option to ask for another one.
Hey! Amazing video pal, however since the worker houses are in the game now, could you cover a video on that please? Im having trouble assigning them to the house.
I've just had a quick look. And it seems you just need to build the workers house. Once a workers house is built, you can then just toggle through who you want to be assigned to that house by the plaque inside the workers house.
While I am addicted to this game, there is a lot of room for improvement. One of the most frustrating things is the inability to assign workers actual jobs. When you assign them to a work location, they do one or two jobs. For example, I'd rather the tavern worker make raw dough rather than bread. Raw dough will be more important if you decide to run the tavern (serve customers).

Is there a specific season that different things grow? Wheat, cabbage, carrots, etc. I haven't done a ton of farming yet, but I know it was more complex in the flat screen game.
If you leave it on fill auto I believe the workers just plant and harvest what seeds you have available in your resource buildings. You can set it up so that they plant exactly what you want in the boards of each planting section. Or you can do it all manually by ploughing, fertilizing, seeding and harvesting it yourself.
So far I like the game ok, can't wait for a more fleshed out interaction system ND skill tree like in the main game. Also coop excites me, idk if any of my friends will loke this game tho
New workers spawn every season. I think the Devs said the rate is 0-4 new workers spawn, so there's a chance 0 will spawn, so try again the next season.
You can buy them from the vendor in Sadobor. If they don't show, they refresh every day. Or alternatively you can just save, and reload your game which will force frefresh the stock.
You can't add extra storage within the resource buildings. I just added 2-3 out front of each and just use them to store stuff manually and move stuff in and out of the resource buildings. You can make the storage chests from within your book in the decorations section if I remember correctly, I haven't played for quite some time. Hope that helps 🙂
Yes, I did a small short on it. But some people still had trouble understanding and how to pay them and what they produce etc. So that's what this video is for 🙂
Hahaha dude I thought I was bad! I had -900 pretty fast because I kept accidentally stealing from the merchants until I figured out how to do it properly😆
Yes, the current houses are just for you. The workers houses should return to the game soon. But I've left my extra houses because it makes my town look better. And hopefully the developers add families and other people to come and live in your town like in Wolfhill. That would be great and has already been requested. So fingers crossed🤞
@ReaperzVR I gotta see your Forrest Village now. I saw your earlier videos when you placed your first house down. I also chose that location for its views, the pond, the world's edge, and an easy walk to the bears. The farm field 🚜 is costly AF 🙃 Destroying it all later 👷🏽♀️
When you have the maximum amount of workers (was 20 last time I played) and have it all set up, everything becomes super streamline and the productiveness goes through the roof, and you'll find it hard to start managing the resources they continue bringing into your resource buildings.
Thank you for taking the time to make this video
No problem. I hope it helped 🙂
Thank you, thank you thank you this was very helpful!

I found you buddy 😎 Funny thing about this video, I knew none of it, so your video is super helpful, but I did already completed this months ago lol

Great guide btw reaper 😊 I’m gonna start recording again now myself, just wanted to wait for more content to be added

@@ReaperzVR good to know. I’ll check back on that person since I did notice the game updated. Thanks!

I'll have a look and maybe make a video, or at least let you know here.
@@ReaperzVR thank you! That would be great help.

Workers houses are In the game now though 😊 0:47 also if you lose their chess piece, you can ask them for a new one now rather than fire and re-hire
Indeed 🙂

hired the 4 at that campfire next to wolfhill but now i dont see anymore people i can hire do they respawn eventually at the camp

@@ReaperzVR thank you yeah I must just be unlucky,i just started the game, got to my first season change and saw no one spawned
What is NEED COINS? And what do I do about it?
Place some coins from your backpack into any of the chests inside the resource storage building.
@ReaperzVR Thank you very much. Finally worked. Grizelda's hoeing my onions as we speak! Huzzah!
How do you buy wheat seeds?
You can buy them from the vendor in Sadobor. If they don't show, they refresh every day. Or alternatively you can just save, and reload your game which will force frefresh the stock.
Is this different than medieval dynasty an add on or ??
This is a completely separate game developed from the ground up for VR. This is not a port of the original flat game.
I know I'm like 8 months late: I don't see an option to add extra storage bins... what am I missing? Thanks for your videos ❤
You can't add extra storage within the resource buildings. I just added 2-3 out front of each and just use them to store stuff manually and move stuff in and out of the resource buildings.

How can I Get More Workers, I just made all of them work for me, but its just 4 people, How can I Get more than 4?
Workers respawn at the camp every season at a rate of 0-4. Just check back at the camp every season.
It used to be confusing by one of you previous videos explained it
Yes, I did a small short on it. But some people still had trouble understanding and how to pay them and what they produce etc. So that's what this video is for 🙂
I have -13560 reputation, am I cooked?
How the bloody hell do you have -14560 reputation? Lol
Hahaha dude I thought I was bad! I had -900 pretty fast because I kept accidentally stealing from the merchants until I figured out how to do it properly😆
So the workers don't need a house 🫠 I'm paying these extra taxes for nothing 🤦🏽♀️

I'll have another video of my village up soon. There's still a few more things I need to get done (I've hardly spent any time on it 😞)
Workers work WAY too slow to be productive.
When you have the maximum amount of workers (was 20 last time I played) and have it all set up, everything becomes super streamline and the productiveness goes through the roof, and you'll find it hard to start managing the resources they continue bringing into your resource buildings.
