I don't know if it applies to everyone and I don't know when the deck thing was recorded but during peak covid-19 a lot of people in my town started to wear facemasks to answer their door, especially if expecting a package that you might need to sign for.

The other thing about Tourette's though is that VERY, VERY few people with it actually have verbal/word tics. A lot of people have like vocal tics where you make a noise of some kind, but not actual words or phrases or curse words etc. Mostly...people just have muscular tics where you feel like you need to stretch or flex a particular body area, arm, leg, your hip, your neck, etc.

As someome whos actually autistic with tourettes since i was 7 or 8 and other disorders and neurodiveegencies i never understand people using it for attention.. Like the people who actually have it live with the same normal for so long that we can sometimes even forget that we have these labels bc its just our life and our normal, its just a part of us. I even forget that i should tell new friends about my tourettes bc i end up ticcing around them and theyre confused and i realize "oh wait i never told them about this!". I dont make it my whole personality, yes its an important part of me and my life and its good to be in a community for it and learn about it and talk about, thats extrwmely important. Just dont make it ALL you are as a human being and make it literally your whole personality. These neurodivergencies and disorders arent YOU they are simply a small part of many that make you YOU... but ngl keep th3 entertainment coming i cant get enough of fake disorder cringe 😹😹😹
Edit: one more thing i forgot, it really upsets me how these people can just "turn on" their "disorder" when they want to benefit them and then turn it off when it gets tiring or too much or they. Dont need to perform. I dont get to turn my symptoms off. I have to tic until the last moment before i fall asleep, i get sore throat and vocal damage from my throat tics, i have had chronic neck, jaw, and shoulder pain since i was 11 bc of my neck tics (im currwntly 21 yrs old), i strain my eyes and trigger headaches w my eye and facial tics, ticcing too much is painful and hard and exhausting, but equally exhausting to repress them and mask so i can have a moments break from them. It is a gross simplification of ACTUALY complex issues w many facets. Sorry for the typos it just rlly gets me mad and i get passionate abt this topic bc it affects me.
