because gimbals basically don't work... they ALL bump up and down and look like crap at full speed.

You shouldn’t have slowed down the footage in post production that you’ve shoot using a gimble. I’d rather see the footage in original speed to see how good the gimple is.

brooooo... honestly i saw peters review about this yesterday it was really good, BUT THIS VIDEO, is way beyond in my opinion, fully cinematic, those colors tho, the crispy music and the leafs, men... blown away my mind. one of the best vids of this season that I've seen.
Don't get it.. why is every UA-cam review of this gimbal, locking mechanism, video transmitter, active track, using the phone as a controller, why are they talking about this as if it's the newest in tech when the Zhiyun Weebill S has had these features for over a year?

I hate how people just assume that when someone talks positively about a product they're paid to do so, Let's me clear things up for you guys, if a creator is paid to review a product they must tell you that they are it's a law, if they say they're not, they're really not, if you insist that they lie, you're an idiot
Love your content Matti!.... but if you're going to be showing us how stable a gimbal is in a review you shouldn't be slowing down all of your footage. This doesn't show us how stable the gimbal footage actually is.

The RSC2 has a small leg up for those who will be doing a decent number of underslung shots as you can instantly switch it by folding, and still have controls at your fingertips and your mounted phone still facing you as a monitor, unlike the RS2 where the second handle doesn’t have any controls and your monitor would require a good amount of adjustment to be useable in both orientations. I do wish they had a higher priced carbon fiber RSC2, but maybe next year.

Don't run over my Ronin!
Force mobile is already available on Ronin S and Ronin SC for a decent period of time, the only difference is that now you see the video on your phone + it uses camera's video, not what your phone sees (which you had to mount on a camera).
That RS2 looks really simple and intuitive to use
Why must everyone slow down the footage.. We need to see the raw footage to see how stable the gimbal REALLY is.

After using the Ronin-S for well over a year now, I genuinely feel that DJI has taken a lot of the practicality issues of use and packing for travel into account in the improved models. Still not sure which one to get just yet.... 🤔 Great video as always (:
Good point, sometimes the thought of packing up the ronin-s in my camera bag just makes me want to leave it at home. Maybe the new folding one might be a good solution 🤷♂️
in body stablilzation will render all of these redundant soon,,,, just saying,,, 😂
@@warpees846 I mean like I used to take the box with me in the car, then I tried creating my camera bag around it, nowadays I kind of just throw it around anywhere or stuff it in any old bag :-/ At least I know it's robust 😂

The fold feature on the RSC2 is used for an underslung mode (if you rotate the camera).
And also for... folding away... like.. storage, so def not useless

Weebill S has that since last year, how is it different?
When it comes to software, DJI is much better. If you want a better experience I suggest that you try out the Ronin SC (or even better the RSC2) and read up on some tutorials.

@@cartersworld3920 well, I saw and already know zuyen weebill s has those features. It may be new to some people cause they hear the name of a brand and never bother to find out what others has to offer. And there are lots of great gimbles out there as far as I know. A little research kills no one!

Thanks for the video and details on the RS2, Matti! One question I have that I can't find the answer to anywhere (and would REALLY appreciate your input on) is about the compatibility of the camera mounting plate. Is this like the original Ronin S where the "Manfrotto-compatible" mounting plate was actually a bit smaller than Manfrotto's... so it's a bit wobbly? Or is it truly the same size?

Why you show slow mo shots in a stabiliser review? I can shoot handheld in slow mo and it looks steady ... And also on superwide lens everything is steady. Pretty useless review. Sorry

Everyone is reviewing the RS2 gimbal. Would have loved to see one showing the stabilization difference between the RS2 and RSC2. But no one is doing it. The RSC2 is mentioned as an after thought with no proper testing of the stabilization. Its a shame. I much prefer the form factor of the RSC2 and the price. But I have no idea if it will be a performance hit. Can you answer this?

I've been seeing comments similar to this vein on almost all videos I've seen about the new Ronins. Don't know if it's an anti-DJI campaign or whatever... anyway so let me break it down for you. First, all tech companies copy from each other. If it's good, then get it for your product. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, after all. That's why we have Infinity Displays, Wireless charging, and those advanced camera features that we all love. Of course, whoever thought of phones having no phone jack on iPhones deserve to be shot.
Secondly, it's not a matter of doing things first but rather who did it best. McDonald's wasn't the first fast food chain in the world, but it certainly was the best. What matters is what you do with the existing knowledge or, in this case, tech.
Thirdly, I've been part of a film production crew for almost a decade, and I've tried almost ALL Zhiyun gimbals. I keep coming back to Ronins as they simply have better stabilization and versatility. Their apps are also better even if, yes, some of the tech appeared on Zhiyuns first. What Zhiyun often fails to do is to perfect the technology before they release it, something that I tip my hat to DJI to. We just put in orders for the RS2 and RSC2 and I'm really looking forward to trying them out.
@@mariabeach1987 It's not against DJI. Matt was surprised to see a feature that was already on a different Gimbal for many years. It's like people who were shocked about features in cameras that were already there in Panasonic cameras many years ago. It's important to know for the audience if a feature is new, innovative, or ground breaking and whether the credit goes to this manufacturer or to the original manufacturer. There's a big difference when it comes to original credit my friend.

So are we gonna ignore the fact that you are praising DJI for putting in features that other manufacturers already implemented in their gimbals, like Raveneye, Force mobile, active track. Zhiyun is doing this things for a long time now. It’s like praising Apple for enabling widgets when Android had them for like 10 years.

So how is the phone control functions compare to the Weebill S that have identical features?
That delay on the transmitter is pretty rough. That would basically make it useless for focus pulling. The payload increase is good but the form factor of these one handle gimbals just doesn’t work for me, personally. Does anyone know if the RS2 has a Ptap adapter? I can’t really see myself using this if you can power monitors, follow focus ect.
You can get power from 3 USB-C ports on the cage (as opposed to the CAN ports from v1 Ronin-S)

You need to show sample footage at 100% speed not 40% speed. At 40% speed using 60fps on my GH5 I can achieve similar results handheld.
