It's with a warm and happy heart that I share this vlog from out first day (back) in Tokyo! I really hope you enjoyed it and that you're ready for much much muuuch more! Let me know what you thought of this video and where in this world you are watching from :)
I've heard that there are NO street signs in English, nowhere -- how do non-Japanese people get around Tokyo??? I find that a deterrant for me going there, how do you get around?
I'm a Japanese living in Tokyo. I can't speak English, but I'm learning. I watch your videos every day. I was looking forward to this video being uploaded. I'll continue to support you. I hope you enjoy the rest of your trip in Japan.
AAAAAH i’ve been waiting for this one !! Japan has been one of my dream destination for as long as i can remember, so being able to see it through your vlogs really warms my heart and confirms my desire to one day go there🥹 I don’t mean to ramble, but i’m gonna do it anyway, cause your videos make me feel safe and like I can be honest. I think you’ve made me realise how unhappy I was with my lifestyle. I was in college, trying to pursue a career I had no interests into, just for the sake of "having a career". And don’t get me wrong, it IS important to go to school and I plan on going back one day. But not now. Seeing you travel the world, working hard to achieve your goals, it really opened my eyes, and made me understand that I want that for myself. I’m getting quite emotional writing this, I don’t even know if you’re gonna read this but, I just want to thank you. Thank you for pushing me to seek help for recovery (still trying to get my period back but I believe I can do it), for making me enjoy working out because it relieves my stress and makes me feel proud of myself, and not because "I HAVE to work out". And thank you for helping me taking the next step towards my happiness. You’re really an amazing human being ❤️ Anyway this was a long rant (i did warn you), thank you if you read it. Enjoy your time in Japan, and I CANNOT WAIT for the next video ❤️
Don't ever apologise for writing such a heart warming comment! Thank you SO much for putting a smile on my face. It sounds to me like you've made some great decisions for yourself - now keep going!
Welcome in Asia! I live in Shanghai and really enjoy all your vlogs - from recovery to marathons to Japan - I can all relate, and they all feel so genuine and real to watch. Love it!
I want to visit Japan so bad!!! I want to eat all the sushi. Enjoying your experience vicariously from California! Have fun! Can’t wait for all the videos!! Keep them coming!
Finally have time to catch up on all your adventures!!! So excited to see your journey!! I am going back again next year!!! Hope you’re enjoying your trip and can’t wait to see all your adventures :D
Hi Katharina! It`s Mana :) Welcome to Japan and I am so glad that you made it!! Actually, I am currently living in Canada, so your video and IG that you have posted in Japan make me really want to go back to Japan! Such as Marugame Udon, Uniqlo, and convenience store which are amazing quality stuff. Enjoy your journey and looking forward to seeing the video again :)
Hii dear! Tysm for your message. I fully understand how you feel! After a little over a week now, I simply cannot imagine to leave again so I can only guess how it must be for you.
What a beautiful video!! I can tell that you put a lot of thought into the edit, älskar det 🫶 Det blir spännande att följa din resa i Japan! Kärlek från Sverige
Oh I have been waiting for the Japan vlog!!! In korea we have also gongcha(bubble tea that you had), and I think it is the best! I like your small bag, did you get it in Denmark? Enjoy your time in Japan!!
hi im glad you enjoy japan, i have lived in Tokyo and a small town in Gifu. Just wondering why you ar making a special trip to MT fuji. I have hiked several mountains in Japan. Fuji is beautiful from a distance but definitely not a pretty hike and very crowded.
We planned everything (accommodations and transport in advance) because we are off for 3 months now and want everything to run as smoothly as possible without the risk of having nowhere to go/stay, confusion or prices increasing last minute :)
There are so many things I love about this country but to sum it up, it's the overall feeling I feel when I am here. The people, diversity in the nature and city life, food, lifestyle, how safe it is and that everything runs smoothly and organised. It's the combination of all of those things including that I become the best, happiest version of myself when I am here. I just feel at home :)
Depends but most of the times it's Airbnb! they've usually got better options and in nicer areas whereas hotels can be very expensive and in touristy areas!
💚 🍵 ☘️ 🍀 i've always eaten green tea ice cream and haven't tried the matcha drink, black coffee only. (vanilla ice cream with coffee, affogato, loved it.) the morinaga brand "MOW"🍦my favorite, haven't had it recently, it costed ¥100, maybe reaching ¥130 now 🛒, all dairy meals 🧀 are expensive because of inflation, can't get milk until price will reduct. sometimes, rarely 20% off or 40% off labels getting on dairy's products.
It's actually not too bad - most Japanese people are super friendly, kind and want to understand what you're trying to say by either using body or facial expressions, pointing at things or google translate :)
Hey, your vlog really gives me a boost! I just got back from Japan last month and immediately felt down because I missed it so much.😔Everything there is so different from here! But I quickly found a solution-I started planning my next trip to Japan.🥹
I think Denmark is very similar to Japan in terms of the design aesthetic, minimalism, use of wood, love of seafood, zen vibe etc. The Japanese get a lot of influence from the Nordic way of life. So I can see why you like Japan.
Both yes and no - there are many similarities but also huge differences which I believe is why I'm so fascinated. Either way, I definitely thrive here!

Japan has always been on my list of places to visit...maybe the Tokyo Marathon would be a perfect time to enjoy.
Belive me, It's on my bucket list! I was actually looking at entries for 2025 but it seems a bit confusing
@@katharinaschneiderr Yes, the world marathon majors are very confusing to get into.
Will make it happen one day!

No, I did buy it last time I was here - it's from Uniqlo :) Tysm!!
Hello! I am looking forward to traveling back to Japan later this summer. Can you tell me what bag you are carrying in this video? Xx
Hi! It’s from Uniqlo. Get it here once you get to Japan it’s wayyy cheaper!

How much of your Japan trips do you guys usually plan and how much is just go with the flow?

Great video as always. May I ask what brand your grey shorts are from? :)
Thanks! They're by Colourful Standard
Just out of curiosity, what is it about Japan that love you so much? I see it’s beautiful, but I’m curious what your favorite parts are!

Hello from Japan! You took a little too much soy sauce so I think your sushi is salty. Too much soy sauce is not good for your health.
You’re not the first person to tell me 😮💨😮💨
