I have used both versions in the past but recently settled in on just using the standard Repulsor for the lower points and increased capacity. Repulsor works very well in the the Firstorm Assault Detachment
Iron storm repex’s were def fun! Into a wounded target, combining the lethals and the mercy is weakness Strat = potential 4 hits at ap-4! Did that into a Russ tank and dealt 16 wounds before even starting rolling for damage.

I typically always field one with my Marines. And almost exclusively with the laser destroyer. I think I've played one game where i went Macro and that was because my opponent had no armor at all.
They were always good but now, after slight buff, they'll probably be a meta of some sort so... Enjoy while it lasts, they'll gonna get pounded to the ground like everything SM related for sure (except divergent chapters) And of course incoming Eradicators nerf - because why not, seems that they'll be meta at some point and ignorant GW will do that at some point also... After all, nothing SM can be good.
There are a few different transport heavy lists I’ve wanted to try. Although I think this is means the 1st born tanks are definitely going to legends I am happy with the change. Till the nerf hits
My Repulsor is absolutely going to see play in my BA lists, the executioner... not so much. The Gladiator lancer is 60 points cheaper, has a better special rule and only deals 1 less damage with the same number of shots. 6 transport is fine but for 20 points more I can just take an impulsor that is arguably a better platform to transport a shooting unit like hellblasters or infernus marines.
I want the repulsors to become a troops choice or simply have the means to field 6 of them to have full mechanized lists and have transports for my marines. the rino nerf really hurt marine list and they lack in general mobility.
I definitely want at least one Repulsor in my Inner Circle Task Force list to transport a full squad of Inner CIrcle Companions with either a Judicar or Asmodai and a full squad of Bladeguard with Bladegaurd Ancient. Granted I do need a land raider so I might use that for my melee troops and add a full squad of hellblasters in the Repulsor
@AuspexTactics you mentioned that you can make the Repulsor execuitoner into a magnetized repulsor and repulsor executioner. Do you know of a guide that shows how to do that? I have tried to look for one without luck
The reduce in price of the Repulsor is nice but as a BA player, if I am going to take a big transport, then I'd still probably take a Land Raider (now they have made the redeemer so expensive), yeh 60pts more but the 2+ save is big, the assault ramp is important and 4 proper lascannons. I think the executioner has the same issue the Lancer has, good into like other marine or guard vehicles, annoying into anything with a 4+ invul, even if you hit both shots, on average someone will half your damage and it is not that hard to roll two 4 ups and just ignore the whole thing. You need weight of shots imo, it is why the Caladius so good, 4 buffed lascannon shots, hitting on 2s, with lethal hits and re-roll wounds and it is cheaper than an executioner. I'd honestly prefer to take either two Lancers or two vindicators for long range anti-tank than an executioner. Lancers basically do the same job and because of the re-rolls essentially with do similar damage, but are 60 pts cheaper.
Instead of simple increasing armor saves whixh doesn't always make, sense, heavier armor should in addition have AP negating effects. So maybe Repulsor could negate 2 points of AP value and Land Raider could negate 1 point of AP value. Adding AP negating stat to armored units would make it easier to differentiate them in a meaninfull way, in addition to Toughness. I think something like this would make Repulsors and general vehicle gameplay more interesting and i might pick a repulsor for something more than a cost saving move.
We non-meta chasing players, who bought other armies but CHOOSE to continue playing our beloved Astartes, must rely on the one thing we have going for us: variety of unit choice. The Executioner is still great obviously, if your reserving Eradicators the free trunk space is not to be undervalued if you know you'll be screened out hard. I dunno about the standard Repulsor. seems to me still needs some help to compete with a Crusader for the multiple melee bent unit's I'd want it for. @@jeffmartin4472 It's a minor cosmetic difference no one is going to care if the 2 of 15 bolters this tank has is in a different location. Build the executioner and save money by, just buying or printing the smaller repulsor turret top the holes that slot them are same circumference

Which model do you want to paint more? Honestly man, rules will change. By the time you get a space marine army together it will probably be different!
It's kinda personal preference, if your goal is to deliver the aggressors then I'd go with a landraider as they are pretty good in melee and a landraider has an assault ramp rule that lets them charge into melee after jumping out of the transport.
Pick what you like, but the Crusader went down 10 points and fits 6 Aggressors with room for a Biologis and a Gravis Captain. If you have anti-vehicle/monster elsewhere, there's a case to be made for it. Repulsor's nice if what you're transporting doesn't want to risk getting tied up in melee.
An unnecessary points cut PLUS the long overdue transport capacity increase (for the Impulsor too) seems like GW wants to SELL A LOT OF REPULSORS! The Land Raider has been one of the most sold vehicles since the start of 10e, but the recent Redeemer nerf to 285 will kill that meta, paving the way for the Repulsor to occupy its spot for 105 points LESS. My Black Templars lists feature at least one Land Raider and I recently had to replace my default Redeemer for the vanilla Land Raider. I’m tempted to use the Repulsor instead because I could use those points to restore the Lieutenant to my Helbrecht + 5 Sword Brethren squad and fit them inside a vehicle with a second SB squad + character. However… I KNOW that if the Repulsor becomes the new meta it’ll just get nerfed one or two quarterly updates down the road. I’m certain this is just a ploy to sell more Repulors.
I tried replacing my Land Raider Redeemers with 2 repulsors in Firestorm and they're just not good enough with a 3+ save and 10" movement. Meltas just instantly kill them and you can't do anything about it. The shooting is also very mediocre against an elite or armor-heavy army even with the las weapon options. I'm going back to my land raiders and just finding other places to cut points.
Both variants seem useful but my god the sculpts are awful l. I mean compare it to the land raider or even the rhino, which are just iconic and their silhouette brilliantly realised.i couldn't have one in my army, although it is just asthetic choice.
Next balance data slate executioner will go up 40 points. Gw will then decide core codex sm can no longer use oath of moments, however divergent chapters will still have it. 🤣
The repulsor is decent with melee units too. After their first disembark and charge, Re embarking them to move forward and then charge something else is an underrated move
I have never heard anyone say that either of the repulsors are cool. People like the new and old Land Raiders as well as the variants, even when they sucked. Not a lot actually like the repulsors.
Between the look of the model, the cost of the model, and it's hover track features, I've stayed away from this option. I prefer tracked vehicles when I can get them. They just seem more like the grimdark 40k I've always known. This newfangled Primaris tank isn't the sort of think I get excited about.
It’s very frustrating that the Repulsor vehicles are not considered ‘fly’. Uh why? Repulsor infantry have fly, devil fish, falcons, and tau battlesuits have fly. Idk just dumb.
I still want to know why the Repulsor gets increased transport capacity but the Executioner variant doesn't. There has to be more of a reason than for how many guns it has.
I'd argue base Repulsors might be better for Aggressors now than the Redeemer. I think charging out of the Assault Ramp often leave your Aggressors exposed, when you're really trying to do their shooting combos. Get close, nuke something, jump in the bus if countercharged. And if your opponent does kill the Repulsor in melee, pile back in and punch the crap out of them. I think it gives more opportunities to use your big shooting combos, especially if you pair it with other heavy threats your opponent can't ignore.
the Multi-Melta for Templars doesn't cost anything. as far as I'm aware, anything that allows it to be on there doesn't add any cost along with it also being able to be used in addition to most mounted guns as well (i.e. heavy stubber, storm bolter, etc)
It does! On both wh40k app and battlescribe a repulsor is 190p and a bt repulsor is 200p For evry chapter they are 190p but when you do a bt list its automaticly 200p and you have to take a mulit melta instead of a stormbolter
@@hickorybane9323 that’s correct, but I‘d take the Redeemer with its Assault Ramp and higher durability over the Repulsor anytime. The Executioner though is another story. That’s a damn fine anti tank vehicle, even though it’s a bit squishy.

Im a bit confused, maybe. When were they not good?
Both variants seem useful but my god the sculpts are awful l. I mean compare it to the land raider or even the rhino, which are just iconic and their silhouette brilliantly realised.i couldn't have one in my army, although it is just asthetic choice.
Maaaaan every time I hear ( $$$ ) price I thank the Omnissiah for the gift of resin
I wish they had tracks.
All I know is I'd rather face 3 repulsors than 3 redeemers
What do you mean again? A t12 tank is always strong with space Marine shooting tied to it.

Next balance data slate executioner will go up 40 points. Gw will then decide core codex sm can no longer use oath of moments, however divergent chapters will still have it. 🤣
I would love it if you sorted out the fuzzy bulletpoint text on your videos ❤
I'm not seeing that
Is it your resolution?
Wish my las cannon wouldn't keep doing 4 damage :(
The repulsor is decent with melee units too.
Man, now everybody is gonna run Repulser Exe. Let it be known I've always loved them!
i just want more plastic flyers. even know that gw hates them
Nice
you need a german retailer too...well i do :-)
Tfex next?
It’s very frustrating that the Repulsor vehicles are not considered ‘fly’. Uh why? Repulsor infantry have fly, devil fish, falcons, and tau battlesuits have fly. Idk just dumb.
I hate Execuetioners 😂 I play monster mash and verse them all the time lol

CSM crying in Rhino
At least the Rhinos look nicer.
Always were.....
I still want to know why the Repulsor gets increased transport capacity but the Executioner variant doesn't. There has to be more of a reason than for how many guns it has.
The Repulsor has transporting stuff as a main priority while it’s a random secondary thing on the executioner.
i want my executioner to not be a gun turret, plz give it 7 spaces GW
I regularly forget it's a transport.
The amount of guns is kinda annoying on executioner
So many weak guns
They need to change it
I'd argue base Repulsors might be better for Aggressors now than the Redeemer.

It does!
On both wh40k app and battlescribe a repulsor is 190p and a bt repulsor is 200p
For evry chapter they are 190p but when you do a bt list its automaticly 200p and you have to take a mulit melta instead of a stormbolter
@Superheld_Mc_Hammergeil you don't have to take a storm bolter, in fact you can attach both without it causing a conflict in the systems.
No, theyre not, cus youre a sitting duck when you get out and the lasers are weaker for no reason. Also, where's the 2+ save?
Get a land raider
I enjoy letting a techmarine with lethal hits enhancement, plus 5 devastator las-cannon marines get out of this to really deal with almost anything
No. No matter how "good" they are in game, they are floating tanks. Lol, they will always just be floating. They are alien tech and heresy.
As Long as the Repulsor doesn‘t get a 2+ Save, it will NEVER be competition to the Land Raider
I mean it is a hundred points less than the redeemer rn
@@hickorybane9323 that’s correct, but I‘d take the Redeemer with its Assault Ramp and higher durability over the Repulsor anytime. The Executioner though is another story. That’s a damn fine anti tank vehicle, even though it’s a bit squishy.
Fucking stupid that this is the price. Fucking outrageous that this hobby has now reached forge world and old HH levels of stupid pricing
Then play at a smaller points level
